confidently but there was no actual proof that musk was involved in anything illegal and just days after whoopie's comments went viral Elon filed a massive $900 million defamation lawsuit against her the lawsuit claimed that after Whoopi's remarks Tesla's stock price dropped immediately the lawsuit also stated that Whoopi's statements could potentially harm future business deals and lead to increased backlash from investors his team demanded a full retraction and a public apology from woy they also argued that Financial damages were necessary to repair the harm how's Elon handling this whole he probably like what the Yeah he
was definitely what the and he was happy that the ADL of all people uh defended him when whoopy appeared in court things got intense fast according to reports she broke down in tears admitting that she never expected her comments to lead to such serious legal action during the hearing whoopy also apologized for the harm caused cused by her comments she said she respected Elon musk's success as a businessman but stood by her concerns about corporate influence in politics however Elon musk's team argued that Whoopi presented her claims as facts which made it a case of
