One day as Karoi waters the flowers, she thinks back to her childhood when she confessed to her crush. The boy had run away in terror after seeing her monstrous hand. He called her a monster and those words have never left her memory. Later, the girls in her class fawn over Arada, a very popular boy. Since he is about to start modeling, some of his classmates want to take photos of him while they still have the Chance. Curoi purposely gets in their way because one of the girls is sitting in her seat. The girl refuses to
move, so Arata offers to step outside so the girl will move. Realizing that he is about to stand, Karoi quickly gathers her things and leaves the classroom. The girls find her odd and make fun of her while Verata quietly watches her leave. His gaze then drifts to the flowers Karoi had been tending earlier. Meanwhile, Kuroi locks herself inside a Bathroom stall. She repeatedly pounds on the door in frustration over Arada. Ever since they were seated beside each other, students have constantly gathered around his desk. She suddenly notices a throbbing in her hand. Pulling back her
sleeves, she reveals a monstrous hand underneath. She knows the only way to return to normal is to calm herself down. She takes out her phone and heads it, listens to her favorite music, and scrolls through pictures of food she Wants to eat. The distraction works, and her hand slowly returns to normal. Unlike everyone else, Croy suffers from a mysterious condition that causes parts of her body to mutate. The first time it happened was after she confessed to her childhood crush. After that incident, her mother, Rinko, told her to stop spending time with friends. Koi tried
to isolate herself, but when some classmates suddenly invited her to play, she couldn't bring herself to refuse. She remembers how happy she felt until strange appendages sprouted from her back. The other children saw them and immediately became afraid of her. For years, she held on to the hope that someone would eventually accept her. However, over time, she realized just how superficial the world is. During lunch break, Crowy heads to the emergency staircase to sketch. She believes no one will bother her there. When she looks up, she finds Arata Staring at her and lets out a
scream of surprise. [music] Arata explains that he came here to escape the crowd gathering around him in the classroom and is surprised to find Keroi here as well. Cero is caught off guard when he addresses her by her last name instead of using the strange nicknames everyone else calls her. Arata notices her sketchbook and compliments her artwork, saying it looks amazing. Embarrassed, Karui quickly snatches it away. He asks Why she chose to draw in grayscale. She hurriedly replies that it simply looks cooler that way. When Arata sits beside her, his closeness causes Kuroi's back to
begin transforming. However, the mutation suddenly stops when Arata comments that being alone every now and then actually feels nice. And Rata admits he has recently been questioning his own self-worth because he doesn't understand what makes him so special. Kuroi feels her body returning to Normal, although she can't relate to his concerns. To her, it simply sounds like he's fishing for compliments. She bluntly tells him that if he doesn't like having cameras pointed at him, then he should tell people to back off. Certain her harsh honesty will drive him away. Croy looks at him again only
to find him staring at her with admiration. Arada agrees with everything she said and promises to be more honest about his feelings. He decides to leave so she can Continue sketching in peace. But before going, he lends her his scarf to keep warm. Curo is shocked that he remains so kind, even towards someone like her. She becomes convinced that someone as nice as Arata must have ulterior motives. She chases after him, throws the scarf back into his face, and immediately runs away, swearing she won't be fooled by his act like everyone else. Later that day,
Coro returns home, and tries to quietly sneak past Ringo and her dog, Jumbo Kane. Unfortunately, they immediately notice her, and Ringo welcomes her home with a hug. While embracing her daughter, Ringo feels the spikes protruding from Kuroi's back, but Kuroi rushes to her room, insisting it's nothing unusual, even if her back rarely mutates. Meanwhile, Jumbo King accidentally knocks something over, forcing Rinko to pick it up. Inside her room, Kuroi examines the spikes on her back. She thinks they look disgusting And strange since they normally disappear after a while. Still, she believes that even if she
completely turns into a monster, it wouldn't make much difference. She feels her life will always remain gray. The next day, she is horrified to find Arata occupying her usual sketching spot. He happily talks about his fiber plus colo. All Kuroi wants is to return to her peaceful routine. Arata explains that he has realized how much he enjoys feeling Needed by others. He says her blunt advice opened his eyes and made him want to appreciate life more. Then he shows her the cafe she has been secretly wanting to visit and invites her to go there after
school with him and a few friends. Cero immediately accepts. However, when they arrive after school, she discovers that only she and Arata are there. As they head inside, Karoi desperately tries to calm herself. She tells herself it may actually be easier Without a large group. But the outing now feels more like a date, making her worry that her body might transform again. The silence while waiting for their food only makes things more awkward. At long last, their pancakes arrive and Kuroi timidly asks if she can eat first. Arata happily encourages her to take the first
bite. The moment she tastes the pancakes, she feels as though she has ascended to heaven. Her delighted expression completely catches Orata offg guard. He lets out a soft laugh, admitting he never expected her to smile like that because she always seems distant at school. Still, he believes she's an amazing person. He points out that she always takes cleanup duties seriously and carefully tends to the classroom flowers every single day. Crowi stares at him and suddenly the pancakes taste less sweet than his words. [music] Arata then offers her his own share of Pancakes. He shows her
an old photo of himself from middle school where he was much chubbier, explaining that he gains weight very easily. He admits he's terrified of becoming lonely again if he returns to looking like that. Kuro remembers believing he could never understand someone like her, [music] but now she realizes she was wrong. She picks up a piece of pancake, offers it to him, and firmly tells him to eat it because she doesn't care about his Weight. [music] If anything, she will still like to be his friend if he changes. Before she can take back what she said,
Orata gently grasps her hand and eats the piece of pancake she offered him, admitting that it really is delicious. The two spend the rest of the day together as if they have always been good friends. and Croi thinks to herself that at least for today, she'll allow herself to be fooled. As they begin walking home, Arata notices Croi seems a Little tired and offers to walk her all the way home. Her body has started transforming again and she assumes it's because she's overstimulated. Just then, several girls who like Arata spot him and are about to
approach. However, the moment they notice Karoi beside him, they assume she has been stalking him and start talking about exposing her online as a creep. Hearing them say that causes Koi's monstrous hand to recede. Cero is about to apologize and head home Alone when Arata suddenly takes her hand and leads her away, completely ignoring the girls. Cero is stunned that he continues holding her hand even as it transforms into its monstrous form. For the first time in her life, it feels as though her gray world has suddenly turned pink. However, she suddenly feels strange. She
apologizes before suddenly running away from him. As she runs, more parts of her body begin to mutate. She can no longer suppress the burning Sensation and stops at a bridge. Unable to control her body any longer, she loses her footing and falls into the river below. There, her body continues transforming until something enormous rises from the depths. Meanwhile, [music] Arata desperately searches for her. When he reaches the bridge, a kaiju suddenly emerges from the river. It happens to be Kuroi, and the moment she sees Arana, she becomes convinced that even he could never accept her
now. She Lets out a deafening roar toward the sky, believing that love can only bring terror into her life. Before long, news of the mysterious Kaiju spreads. People watch in amazement while helicopters fly overhead, trying to capture footage of Kuroi. Back at home, Rinko immediately prepares her car, already aware that Kaiju is Karoi. Meanwhile, Arata continues staring up at her. Karoi feels as though she is trapped inside a dream. At the same time, she finally allows Herself to release all the frustration she's bottled up for years. From inside her car, Ringo desperately begs Karoi not
to leave the river, knowing it will only make the situation worse. When Rinko arrives at the bridge, she notices Arana still looking toward the water below. When he calls out Keroi's name, Ringo carefully asks if it's the Kuroi she knows. She treads carefully, not mentioning that Kuroi is her daughter and wants to know if he was with her Before the kaiju appeared. After Erda confirms it, Rinko says that Kuroi is from her neighborhood and that she already saw her evacuate. Before leaving, he asks Rinko to tell Kuroi that he had a wonderful time with her.
After he walks away, she quietly mutters that he had better take responsibility. As she heads back to her car, she suddenly realizes Jumbo King has disappeared. The military has already begun attacking the Kaiju while Arata Continues evacuating. However, he soon spots Jumbo King running straight toward the danger. Fearing for the dog's safety, Arata chases after him. Jumbo King leads him back to the bridge just as a military helicopter opens fire on Keroi. The explosion sends debris crashing down. When he looks up again, Keroi is preparing to launch an attack. At that moment, she notices Arata
lying on the ground and freezes when she sees the way he is looking at her. Confused, She catches her own reflection in the glass of a nearby building. She realizes everyone is looking at her like she truly is a monster. Overcome with panic, Karoi desperately wishes people would stop looking at her that way. She dives back into the river and disappears downstream. As Jumbo King struggles free from Arata's arms, Arata realizes the Kaiju have been looking directly at him. The dog quickly runs back to Rinko, barking as though he knows exactly where Kuroi has gone.
Near a Riverside Park, Kuroi finally emerges from the water. Most of her body has already returned to normal before she collapses unconscious. When she wakes up, she finds herself back in her own room. She remembers very little about what happened and Lazley gets dressed for school, completely unaware of everything that took place. Downstairs, Rinko greets her and mentions that she washed Koi's uniform so well that it looks almost brand new. She then serves Karoi a plate of pancakes. After taking a bite, Karoi thinks the pancakes yesterday were also good. She turns on the television where
the news is reporting on the kaiju that appeared last night. As the report continues, memories of her transformation slowly come flooding back. The news reveals that the public has started calling the mysterious creature Harugan, named after the place where it first appeared. Reno finally Decides to tell her the truth. She confirms that Karoi really was the Kaiju from the news and explains that her transformation has become much more extreme because Karoi has fallen in love with someone. One morning, Karui walks to school while thinking about everything Ringo told her. Along the way, she sees the
destruction Harugan caused, making her realize it had never been a dream. When she arrives at school, she overhears several girls Talking about how Arada was injured during the incident. Wanting to know if he is all right, Koi asks how badly he was hurt. Instead of answering, the girls grow irritated and demand to know why she had been holding Araba's hand that evening. A flustered expression spreads across Koi's face. Croi quickly escapes to her usual spot to get away from them. As she gazes outside, she finds herself wanting to be near him. Looking toward the school
gate, she Spots Arata arriving and instinctively gets excited. She starts rushing downstairs to greet him before suddenly stopping herself. She remembers that strong emotions could cause her to transform into Harugan. She wonders if staying away from him is the only way to keep everyone safe. Gripping the railing tightly, she forces herself to just watch. Just then, another student named Manatu runs over to check on Arata. Kuroi notices how naturally familiar the Two seem together. She immediately assumes Manatu is his girlfriend. She suddenly feels foolish for being jealous. At that moment, Arata notices her and happily
calls out to her. Panicking, Karoi shouts back that he should never come near her again before running back inside the building. Back in the classroom, Keroi shuts herself off from the world by putting on her headset. When Arata enters and immediately attracts another crowd of Classmates, [music] she places her school bag on her desk to block them from invading her space. During class, Arata glances toward Kuroi. After class ends, Keroi notices Manatu peeking into the classroom. Not wanting to watch her talk to Ara, Kuroi quickly runs away. Thinking of Arata and Manatu together fills her
mind, and a tale suddenly sprouts out. Frantically hiding it beneath her skirt, she tries to figure out what caused the transformation. Later, Keroi meets Rinko at the park. Rinko is relieved that the blossoms survive Karoi's rampage. Koi asks why Rinko is still allowing her to walk around freely when she believes she should be locked away. Rinko casually brushes the idea aside, saying she would never imprison her only daughter. She promises that no matter what happens, she will always protect Karoi. Those words comfort Karoi, making her believe it might actually be possible to never Become a
Kaiju again. She tells herself that the feeling she experienced yesterday may have been the last time she would ever feel that way since she has already cut ties with Arata. However, after returning home, her tail stubbornly refuses to disappear. She steps onto the balcony for some fresh air when she notices a strange caterpillar-like creature lying on the street below. She worries it will eventually grow into a kaiju she will Have to fight. Determined to stop it early, she grabs a mallet and cautiously approaches the creature. As she gets close, it suddenly rolls over, revealing its
zipper. Without the slightest embarrassment, Manatu cheerfully greets Keroi. Karoi wants to ask why Manatu is dressed like that and even wonders if Arata somehow encouraged it. Instead, Manatu excitedly reveals that she's waiting for someone. As she describes the person she's expecting, Kuroi Unintentionally imagines Arata matching every description. However, Monasu finally reveals that the one she is waiting for is Harugan. She explains that because of her father's work, she grew up surrounded by kaiju movies and merchandise. She always believed they were nothing more than fiction, but last night proved they are real. That is why she
desperately wants to meet Harugan in person. Unfortunately, last night she was unable to see Harugan herself. Even So, she plans to wait here until Harugan appears again. Curo suddenly asked if the kaiju is why Manatu approached Arata. Manatu admits she wanted to hear his firsthand impression of Harugan since he had been nearby. The love struck look she saw earlier on Manatu was because Manamasu was so excited talking about Harugan. Even now, Manatu wiggles with excitement while discussing Harugan. Manu also mentions that she originally wanted to talk to Kuroi at School but couldn't because Kuroi ran
away. Kuroi feels relieved knowing Manatu isn't Arata's girlfriend. At the same time, she feels terrible realizing Arata probably hates her for her words earlier. Their conversation is interrupted when a police officer approaches and informs Manatu that she isn't allowed to sleep on the street. Feeling sorry for her, Karoi suddenly blurts out that Harugan won't be coming tonight. Manatu pauses before Remembering that Rada said Harugan appeared shortly after Kuroi disappeared. She begins wondering aloud whether Kuroi can somehow communicate with Harugan through their minds. She even concludes that Kuroi must be Harugan's priestess. Kuroi awkwardly replies that
she might be. Taking that as confirmation, Manatu excitedly asks Karoi to summon Harugan. Koi claims that Harugan is too tired now. Just then, two figures dressed suspiciously as Ultramen Arrive. They turn out to be Manatu's servants who have come to bring her home. Manatu's eccentric personality leaves both Keroi and the police officer completely bewildered. The next day, Keroi carefully hides her tail beneath her skirt before heading to school. As soon as she arrives, Manatu rushes over to thank her for the enjoyable evening [music] and eagerly suggests that they become friends. They spot Arata surrounded by
girls once again. Kuroi Immediately hides out of sight. Manu quietly asks whether Kuroi likes since neither of them knows whether Arata already has a girlfriend. Manu offers to help bring them together, saying it's only fair since Kuroi will be her cupid with Harugan. Without hesitation, Manatu boldly walks up to Arata and asks if he has a girlfriend. Orata honestly answers that he doesn't. The surrounding girls celebrate for a brief moment before Arata calmly admits that he's already Interested in someone. As he says it, he looks directly at Kuroi. Her heart begins racing while her hidden
tail twitches beneath her skirt. The familiar sensation of being overwhelmed returns and Kuroi immediately runs away. She ends up alone in the courtyard when Manatu catches up. Manatu happily congratulates her because they confirmed Arata is single. However, Kuroi begs Manatu to leave her alone. She insists that romance can only end with her Getting hurt. Bonansu simply smiles and gently tells Karoi that as another girl in love, she can clearly see the flames of love burning in Koi's eyes. She helps Karoi to her feet and says they should support each other in finding love regardless of
how things end. She then invites Karoi to her house after school so they can eat snacks together and watch kaiju movies to cheer themselves up. Later, during PE, Karoi quietly watches Arata playing basketball with The boys outside. She convinces herself there's no way someone like him could actually like her. Her thoughts are interrupted when a volleyball suddenly hits her. The other girls angrily complain that she skipped participating again in order to at least help clean up. CeroI quietly does as she's told and wheels the cart of volleyballs back to the storage room. However, in the
girls lockermen from outside, they mock her for believing Arata could ever like her, Insisting that someone like him would never choose someone like her. Inside the dark storage room, Karoi's tail begins thrashing wildly as she shouts that she already knows that. The girls hear equipment crashing and assume Croi is throwing a tantrum, so they decide to leave her locked inside. Meanwhile, Kuroi panics because her tail keeps growing larger, making it impossible to hide. After PE ends, the teacher notices Kuroi is missing. One of the girls Quickly lies, claiming Kuroi went to the nurse's office. When
classes finish, Arata heads there to check on her, but she isn't there. He runs into Manatu, who is also searching for Kuroi. Meanwhile, people struggle to open the storage room. Kuroi is the one holding the door shut from the inside because she refuses to let anyone see her tail. If someone discovers her secret, she imagines being taken away to a laboratory and experimented on. She's Convinced that would eventually cause her to transform into Harugan again. If that happens, she wonders whether Arana would look at her with fear. Sitting down, she wishes she had simply been
born an ordinary girl. Back in the classroom, the girls begin wondering whether they should finally let Kuroi out. Unfortunately for them, Manatu overhears the entire conversation. Demanding to know what they did, she dramatically declares that Harugan will Surely go on a rampage after they imprison the beast priestess. She urges the girls to apologize immediately. Instead, they insist they did nothing wrong because Kuroi crossed the line by getting too close to Arata. At that moment, Arata reveals that he heard everything. He blames himself the most because he kept trying to stay friendly with everyone even while
the girls continued hurting Kuroi. Realizing that his silence only enabled them, he Decides to stop pretending everything is fine. He admits he cares far too much about Koroi to lose her. Arata runs toward the gym to rescue her, leaving his admirers speechless while Mamasu quietly cheers him on. When Arata reaches the storage room, he quickly forces the sliding door open. Startled, Karoi instinctively lashes out with her tail. Flustered, she nervously asks whether he saw anything. From outside, Orata reassures her that it was too dark For him to see clearly. Rather than forcing his way in,
Arata begins talking to her through the door. He confesses that he lied the day he invited her to eat pancakes. There was never supposed to be a group outing. He had bought tickets for just the two of them because he genuinely wanted to spend time with her. He explains that her blunt honesty left a lasting impression on him. Even though everything happening in Tokyo makes the timing terrible, he still Wants to get to know her better. Listening from the other side of the door, Karoi is stunned by how sincere sounds. At the same time, she
feels that familiar wave of overwhelming affection welling up inside her. In a quiet voice, she finally tells him he can come inside. As Arata steps into the storage room, he looks surprised. Curo shily admits she has an ugly side and warns that if they become closer, he'll eventually discover even more disgusting Things about her. She tells him she can't believe anyone could truly love a girl with a tail. Without realizing it, her tail slowly begins shrinking. Arata looks confused by her comment since he can't see any tail at all. He reaches over and switches on
the lights. The moment the room brightens, he notices the torn hole in the back of Kuroi's uniform. Mortified, Kuroi immediately dives beneath a pile of gym mats to hide herself. Arata sits beside her, then Gently tells her that if she hates herself, he'll simply find more reasons to love her and tell her. Karoi peaks up to look at him. Arata leans a little closer, relieved that they can finally face each other properly. He tells her to go retrieve her school bag and let Manatu know she's safe. Once he has walked a safe distance away, Kuroi's
body suddenly transforms into Harugan. Orata stares toward the gym as the enormous kaiju emerges. Meanwhile, Manatu beams with excitement, thrilled to finally meet Harugan in person. Harugan silently searches for Ora. In her heart, Kuroi apologizes to him. She knows she can never have the normal romance he deserves, but she silently promises to not trample on his feelings. Several people watch as Harugan makes another escape through the river with Manatu being the only one who is genuinely sad to see the kaiju leave. By the time Keroi reaches the park, she is Already transformed back into her
human form. Realizing she still needs to return to school, she finds a large trash bag to wrap around herself as a makeshift cover. As she runs back, she avoids several reporters interviewing students. She heads to her classroom to retrieve her uniform. There she sees Arata insisting that a student is still trapped inside the gymnasium. Karoi immediately runs over to reassure him. The two decide to walk home together. Orata expresses his concern since Koi was nearby when Harugan appeared. He admits he's had the strange feeling that Harugan was staring directly at him during both encounters. Kuroi
hurriedly tells him he's probably imagining things. She quietly compliments him for staying so calm in front of something she considers ugly. Instead of agreeing, something suddenly clicks in Arata's mind. He softly replies that he actually thought it was beautiful. For a brief Moment, Kuroi believes he's talking about Harugan. However, Arada mentions that the cherry blossoms are pretty. Karoi hurriedly agrees, trying to hide what she was thinking. After calming herself down, Kuroi quietly admits she's glad none of the cherry blossom trees were crushed. One day, Keroi visits Manatu's house to prepare for her upcoming date. Unfortunately,
most of Manatu's wardrobe consists of bizarre monster costumes. [music] However, Manatu finds a beautiful dress for Koroi. Although Karoy admits the dress is lovely, she insists that she's the real problem. Manu encourages her to have a little more confidence in herself, especially given how Karoi was asked out. After the Haruven incident, just as Karoi was about to head home, Arata stopped her. He shily invited her to spend the weekend with him at a theme park. He mentions winning a pair of tickets to one and wants Karoi to spend Time with him. Wasatu excitedly declares that
this is great progress for Kuroi's love life. Trying not to think too much about it, Kuroi notices her hands beginning to transform. She still can't believe someone like Arana could seriously be interested in someone like her when he could easily [music] date any girl he wanted. Manu encourages her to change her perspective tomorrow. As a finishing touch, she styles Koi's hair so it resembles a pair of tiny horns. The next morning, Karoi quietly gets ready for her date and tries to sneak out of the house. Rinko catches her before she can leave. Rather than admitting
she's going on a date, Keroi simply says she's meeting a friend. Before Ringo can ask any questions, Karoi quickly rushes out the door. Watching her leave, Ringo becomes suspicious. At the meeting place, Karoi nervously rereads the messages she exchanged with Arada. If her body starts Transforming, she already has a plan to calm herself down. [music] Suddenly, the crowd nearby erupts into excited whispers. Curoi finds Arata walking toward her while countless girls stare at him in admiration. She wonders if this is simply the effect of seeing Orata in casual clothes because in her eyes he is
sparkling. When the mascot walks away, Kuroi loses her cover. Orata immediately notices her and happily runs over. Delighted that she came, he warmly Greets her. Feeling embarrassed, Kuroi instinctively covers part of her face and quietly tells him he looks different today. Arata admits he actually put effort into his appearance. He even consulted a stylist before choosing today's outfit. Hearing that makes Koi feel secretly flattered. Arata then admits he's happy to see her wearing casual clothes for the first time. He even blurts out that she looks incredibly cute before immediately Wording that he sounded too forward.
Kuroi feels her heart skip a beat. She desperately tries to calm herself, imagining the disaster that would happen if she transformed into Harugan. Fortunately, she manages to calm herself. She tells Arada she felt a little lightheaded before suggesting they go on a ride together. Still worried, Arata gently says they can always reschedule if she isn't feeling well. To his surprise, Karoi immediately Insists on continuing the date. Smiling softly, Arata reaches out and takes her hand. Fearing the contact might trigger another transformation, she quickly removes her hand. The two explore the park together while Arata points
out all the guests dressed as characters from movies. Soon, Arata notices a romantic ride and excitedly suggests they try it. Corroy worries it may be too much for her, so she suggests they ride a single person attraction. Wanting her to enjoy Herself, Arata happily agrees. Neither of them realizes they're being followed by Ringo, who has disguised herself as one of the park mascots. Reno admits that Arata seems like a genuinely kind young man. Still, she knows that if he truly falls in love with Kuroi, it could become the most dangerous romance imaginable. After finishing one
of the rides, Karoi feels relieved that she isn't transforming. Only then does she realize she'd been unconsciously holding Aata's hand. Embarrassed, she quickly lets go and insists she can step off the ride by herself. She reminds herself that she has to stay on guard. The date continues with Karoi carefully maintaining a little distance between them while Ringo secretly follows them closely. During one attraction, Rinko even manages to squeeze herself between the two of them. As they continue talking, Arata admits he really likes Kurui's scream during the ride. He Explains it's the first time he's ever
heard her raise her voice. Arata spots another attraction meant for couples and suggests they ride it next. Nervously, she asks whether he thinks the mascot might ride with them again. Arata falls silent for a moment before awkwardly suggesting they do something else instead. He picks up a plush toy resembling a tiny kaiju. Kuroi studies the plush and can't help noticing how much it resembles Harugan. Arata then Picks out a cute character headband and gently places it on her head. Flustered, Koroi insists that only cute girls should wear something like that. Arata tells Koi that she
is cute. He even offers to wear the matching headband with her. Karoi stubbornly refuses, insisting that they aren't a couple, so they shouldn't wear matching accessories. As they continue walking through the park, a noticeable distance forms between them. Then she realizes The real problem. Throughout the entire date, she has turned down nearly every suggestion Arata made. She understands that the growing distance between them is her own fault because she's been guarding her heart the entire time. Watching from afar, Rinko begins wondering whether romance has come too soon for Karoi. Just then, she overhears Karoi suddenly
inviting Ara onto one of the parks rides for couples. Orata is completely caught off guard and asks Whether she's really sure. Curoi firmly says she is. Hearing that immediately sends Ringo into a panic. Once the ride begins, Koi almost instantly regrets her decision since she can't help noticing how nice Arata smells. Sensing how tense she is, Arata gently reaches over and holds her hand to reassure her. But before he has time to look down, the ride plunges into a big drop. When the ride finally ends, she hurriedly tries to leave, claiming she needs to use
the Restroom. However, the safety belt pulls her back. Arata instinctively leans across to help release it. Growing flustered, Keroi quickly creates distance between them the moment she's free. After finally calming herself down, she returns to find the mood between them noticeably heavier. Arata admits that he noticed Karoi has been avoiding him all day. He assumes she only agreed to today's outing because she was too kind to reject him. Thinking He's been bothering her, Arata decides it's time for him to leave. Karoi desperately wants to correct his misunderstanding. She rushes after him, but realizes that much
of her body has already begun transforming. Startled, she immediately backs away. When Arata makes what she mistakes as a fearful expression, her heart sinks as she races through the park. People begin staring at her strange tail and monstrous hands. Meanwhile, Arata is searching for her With her things. He had picked up her bag and noticed her notebook. After reading it, you realize Karoi had been preparing ways to run away from him all day. [music] Watching from a distance, Ringo feels sorry that Arata had his heart broken. Still, she believes it's for the best because Kuroi
can never truly be with a human boy. Eventually, she notices Arata disappear from sight and assumes he has finally given up. She decides to search for Coroi. Meanwhile, Coroi desperately tries calming herself inside a restroom. No matter what she does, her monstrous features refuse to disappear. She becomes terrified that if she can't return to normal, Arata will never speak to her again. All she wanted was to spend a single day as an ordinary girl enjoying a date with the boy she likes. Realizing that romance may simply never be possible for her if she gives up.
The violent emotions cause her tail to lash out. Accepting her fate, Koroi Walks outside without caring whether anyone sees her. Soon, Ringo catches up to her and gently grabs hold of her tail. Still disguised as one of the park mascots, Rinko softly reminds her not to frighten the other visitors because this is supposed to be a place where dreams come true. Kuroi sadly asks whether ugly monsters like her are even allowed to have dreams. Those words leave Rinko speechless. [music] As Koroi sinks deeper into despair, she declares that She hates this place. She decides she
wants to destroy the park. Swinging her tail in frustration, she sends Ringo flying away. The farther Kuroi walks, the more people instinctively move out of her way. Then someone suddenly grabs hold of her tail. She turns around to find Arana standing behind her. The moment she sees him, several of the spikes covering her body begin shrinking away. She immediately tries to hide herself again. Arata honestly admits he Was surprised by her appearance. [music] However, he says he's impressed by how committed she is to her costume. He excitedly assumes she's cosplaying as Johnny, one of his
favorite characters in the park. The surrounding crowd quickly accepts Arada's explanation and begins believing she's simply an incredibly dedicated cosplayer. Arata happily concludes that this must be why Karoi had been acting so strangely throughout the day. Kuroi quietly Decides to play along. Before long, visitors are asking to take pictures with her. Arata then remembers the notebook he picked up. He tells her that he realized how excited she was when he discovered the final page with a cartoon sketch of them together. Embarrassed, Karui quickly snatches the notebook back, trying to hide how excited she had actually
been. Just then, the evening fireworks begin lighting up the sky. Watching them together, Kuroi finally Gathers the courage to lower her guard. She steps a little closer to Arata and shily admits she had been looking forward to today more than she let on. When Arata smiles warmly at her, Kuroi can't help celebrating with one of the monster mascots nearby. Watching everything unfold from afar, Ringo is amazed by how openly Karoi is acting around a boy. Although she still feels conflicted, she decides to let Karoi enjoy the rest of the evening. Once the Fireworks end, Arata
asks whether she'd like to continue exploring the park together. Kuroi excitedly agrees and eagerly points out all the attractions she still wants to ride. The two spend the rest of the evening enjoying the rest of the day together. As Ringo heads home, she is suddenly called out to by Kotaro, a former colleague. As Ringo watches Kotaro play with Jumbo King, she remarks that he hardly looks like a biologist. Cotaro points out that Ringo Doesn't look like one either. Ringo corrects him, explaining that she's a former biologist. She had decided to quit and just become happy
single mother. Cotaro asks if that means she has no interest in Harugan, whom he believes is female based on the kaiju's behavior and cries, and most notably her love struck eyes. Ringo feels uneasy and asks whether he came all the way there just to hit on Harugan. Kotaro jokingly says that he did, prompting Ringo to March towards the door, preparing to lead him out. Before she can, Kotaro suddenly hugs her from behind. In a much gentler tone, he asks her to work with him again. Ringo notices his phone vibrate, so she kicks him in the
shin and calls him a shameless player. Curoi walks in, and the instant she sees Kotaro, she happily calls out his name. Kotaro immediately embraces her, saying how much he's missed her and how much sweeter and cuter she is compared to Ringo. After letting go, he hands Coroy a bag full of souvenirs. Corroy lights up with excitement as Rinko asks whether it's the noise Croy listens to. Kuroi passionately argues that metal is the most sublime form of music. Grateful for the gifts, Karoi hugs Kotaro once again. Although he enjoys the affection, he gently reminds her not
to get too excited because of her condition. He carefully asks whether they found a cure yet. Curoi sadly admits they still Haven't, though she has become much better at controlling it. Qotaro proudly tells her that he has another treat for her. Curoi gets excited because she wanted them. Reno immediately insists on tagging along. And Koi quickly points out that the entire venue will be filled with deafening music. After thinking it over, Rinko reluctantly changes her mind compared to Orata. She decides Karoi will probably be much safer with Kotaro. Rinko quietly pulls Karoi aside and Reminds
her never to mention that she's Harugan. With everything settled, Kotaro tells the girls he'll be leaving. He tells Keroi he'll be staying in town for a while, so she's welcome to visit him anytime. Curoi is delighted by the news, although Ringo feels uneasy. Later that night, Arata messages Karoi to tell her he had a wonderful time today. He briefly considers asking her out again, but remembers he has work. He's pleasantly surprised when Karoi replies That she had fun, too, before wishing him good night. [music] Meanwhile, Karoi immediately wonders whether texting him good night was too
forward. A moment later, Arata replies with a good night message of his own. Reading those words makes Keroy's heart sore. For the first time, she [music] fully accepts that she's fallen in love with him. She quietly wonders whether Orana feels the same way, but then she scolds herself that it's impossible because she's a Kaiju. The day of the music festival finally arrives. As Karoi and Kotaro enter the venue, they recall the last concert they attended together. Back then, Karui became so excited that her hands transformed. Walking beside Cotaro, Karoi feels completely relaxed. Coincidentally, Orana is
working at one of the festival's merchandise booths. Spotting Karoi in the crowd, he's surprised to see her there. Kotaro immediately becomes suspicious and asks Who Arata is. Nervously, Kuroi introduces him as a classmate, assuming Kotaro is one of Kuroi's relatives. Arata politely greets him, but Kotaro announces that he's Kuroi's boyfriend. Kuroi panics and hurily corrects him, explaining that Kotaro is actually her mother's friend and the person who introduced her to metal music. As she frantically explains everything, Kotara notices small spikes beginning to emerge from her back. Changing the subject, he Asks Arata whether he's a
model or actor. When Arata says he isn't Kotaro immediately asks whether he's Karoi's boyfriend, Kuroi quickly denies it. However, Kotaro says he'd rather hear the answer from Arata himself. The two quietly stare each other down while Keroi nervously watches the tension build. Desperate to end the awkward moment, she points toward the stage and announces that she wants to hear a band perform. Once they're near the stage, Cotaro asks whether Arata knows anything about her condition. Curo admits that he doesn't, but insists Arata is a genuinely kind person who's different from everyone else. Potaru gently warns
that she hasn't met enough people to make that kind of judgment yet. He starts explaining how some men can be manipulative. Unfortunately, the band suddenly begins performing, making it impossible for Karoi to hear his warnings. A little while later, Arata Goes on break and spots Kroi resting with Kotaro. Watching them, especially how happy Karoi looks, he feels an unexpected pang [music] of jealousy. Later, Kuroi manages to secure a place against the front railing before her favorite band's performance. Arada approaches her, explaining that he was allowed to leave work early and decided to enjoy the remaining
performances. He asks whether she's really comfortable standing so close to the stage since the Crowd looks intense. Croy explains she's used to it because she attends concerts with Kotaro all the time. Suddenly, the audience erupts with excitement as the band prepares to appear. Croy cheers along with everyone else, but gets pushed backwards. Embarrassed, she quickly steps away and suggests they move farther back. Instead, [music] Arana pulls her back toward him. Cotaro sees them and immediately starts marching toward them. Meanwhile, Karoi Feels her emotions spiraling out of control. Her condition begins acting up again and she
quietly mutters that she can't do this anymore. Unfortunately, Arata misunderstands her words. Kuroi desperately tries to explain herself. However, Arata admits that he'd originally believed she was just shy. After seeing how naturally she interacts with Kotaro, though, he concludes that she simply doesn't like him. Panicking, Carroi desperately wants to explain that Cotaro is nothing more than an uncle figure to her. Before she could get the words out, she feels her tail emerge. At that exact moment, the band bursts onto the stage. The roar of the crowd draws Arata's attention away for just a second. When
he turns back toward Karoi, she's already gone. Karoi runs as far as she can. She regrets not telling Arata the reason for pushing away. The truth is, she bought expensive hair products for the first time. She even borrowed a Cute outfit because she wanted to look nice for him. Recently, she had even started practicing how to bake cookies. For the first time in years, she found herself genuinely looking forward to tomorrow thanks to Arata. As those feelings overflow, Karoi completely transforms into Harugan. The crowd immediately erupts into panic. Both Arata and Kotaro stare in shock
at the giant kaiju standing before them. Meanwhile, the band simply grins, Deciding there's no better time to begin their performance. Cotaro tells Arata to evacuate and leave, finding Kuroi to him. Arata grabs a pair of binoculars and climbs onto the stage to search for her. The moment he does, Harudam walks directly in front of him before lowering herself until they're face to face. Even in her giant form, Kuroi finds herself wishing she could somehow confess her feelings to Arata. Before she can calm herself, helicopters suddenly appear Overhead. Annoyed, she swings her massive tail to drive
them away. When she looks back toward the stage, Arata is gone. Heartbroken, she lets out a sorrowful roar before smashing the stage. Meanwhile, Arata and Kotaro escape through another exit. While watching Haruan head toward the festival's main entrance, where Kotaro suspects Krui might be worried about her, Arata suddenly decides to go to Haruban. He explains that he believes he Can lure Harugan away from the crowded area. Cotaro urges him to abandon such a reckless plan. Still, Arata insists on taking the chance because he needs to confess to Kuroi. Meanwhile, Harubam frantically searches for Arata while
swatting away the helicopters pursuing her. She feels herself slowly losing control as her instincts begin taking over. Terrified she may never become human again, she regrets never confessing. She lets out another anguish Cry before continuing her rampage. Arata decides he needs to act now. Cotaro calls after him, telling him he better come back alive so [music] Kuroi won't have to cry. Arata positions himself where Harugan can easily see him. Harugan slowly lowers herself until they're at eye level. Arata gently tries speaking to her. Instead of answering, Haruan lets out a powerful roar. The sound startles
Arata while Cotaro yells for him to run. Suddenly, another voice Calls out when enthusiastically shouts for Haruan to stop. Unfortunately, the rope isn't nearly long enough to reach her. Haruan quickly loses interest and resumes her rampage. Once the helicopter lands, Arata rushes over to Manatu. She excitedly explains that she flew over as soon as she heard Harugan appeared. Orata quickly explains that he wants to lure Harugan away because he believes Kuroi is still somewhere nearby. Manatu confidently replies that Kuroi is Herugan's priestess. [music] Orata explains that the real danger is the government. If Harugan continues
rampaging, the military will eventually launch a full-scale attack. Onasu suddenly panics, so the two of them hop on the helicopter to stop Harugan. Watching everything unfold, Cotaro grows increasingly irritated as the disaster response team tries to contact him. High above the city, Orata once again calls out to Harugan from the helicopter. The Moment she notices him, she immediately begins chasing after it. Orata successfully leads her farther and farther away from the populated area. Once they're safely away from the crowds, Harubam's tail strikes the helicopter. Only then does Monatu realize she forgot to give Arad a
parachute. Harugan immediately notices him falling. Before he can hit the ground, she gently catches him in the palm of her hand. Looking into her face, He notices her eyes are gentle, similar to Kuroi's. Softly, Arata tells Harugan he's willing to listen because he can tell she's been trying to tell him something all along. Hearing those words makes Koi's heart flutter. Relieved that she was right about him, she carefully closes her hand around Arada, holding him close. Suddenly, something slams into her back. Turning around, she sees a tank opening fire on them. Not wanting Arata to
get caught in the attack, Harm Quickly carries him somewhere safer. Sometime later, Karoi has returned to her human form. Her first concern is checking whether Arada is all right. When he finally regains consciousness and sees Karoi, he immediately holds her shoulders. A second later, he realizes she's only wrapped in a parachute and quickly pulls away in embarrassment. [music] Kuroi scolds him for recklessly approaching Harugan. Arata then remembers Harugan and is worried about Her. Kuroi looks at him with an unusually honest expression. She admits that she used to hate herself. However, after spending time with Arata,
she slowly began seeing herself differently. Being with him made her start looking forward to the future. She gathers the courage to confess her feelings, but at the last second, the words refuse to come out. Even without hearing the rest, Arata quietly steps [music] closer. He thanks her before admitting there's Something he wants to say as well. He explains that watching Harugan desperately struggle to communicate made him realize something important. Looking directly into her eyes, he confesses that he really likes Karoi. He asks if she'll go out with him. Curoi softly accepts. Hidden nearby, Kotaro hears
the exchange. Having just finished a phone call, he already knows their new relationship will be trouble. One evening, while replaying Arata's Confession in her mind, Kuroi suddenly wakes with a start. Without wasting a second, she leaps out the window so she can safely become Harugan outside. People watch the giant kaiju make her way through town with a mixture of emotions. After eventually returning to normal, Reno expresses concern over how frequently Kuroi has been transforming lately. However, Kuroi barely listens because her phone suddenly receives a message. She quickly retreats to her Room and sees that Arata
has sent her directions to their meeting place so they can walk to school together. Excited, she hurries out of the house to meet up with Arata because she hasn't seen him since the metal festival. The moment she spots Arata waiting for her, she's struck by how radiant he looks. During the walk to school, the two of them are awkwardly shy around each other because of their new relationship. Arata quietly laments the possibility that They may not be classmates anymore since it's a new term. Gathering his courage, he reaches for Kuroi's hand. Before he can touch
it, one of his friends suddenly calls out to him from behind. Arada turns to greet his friend, intending to introduce Kuroi to his friend. To his surprise, she's no longer by his side. She has actually hidden herself around a nearby corner, suddenly realizing that dating her might cause Arata endless trouble. Convinced he'll Lose popularity because of her, Kuroi decides to run head. Arata manages to catch up, but she speeds up even more. She tells him that while they're at school, it would be better if they pretended not to know each other. Before she can continue,
Orana firmly grabs her hand. He gently tells her that none of that matters to him anymore. [music] More than anything, he's proud to call her his girlfriend. Just then, they hear the click of a camera shutter. Arata Starts apologizing, but Kuroy apologizes for suggesting they hide their relationship. Still, she admits she's overwhelmed by everything that's happened and asks if for now they could just act like friends at school. Although disappointed, Arada agrees. Before walking ahead, he quietly tells her he wishes she'd be a little more selfish. Continuing towards school alone, Karoi is suddenly approached by
a young girl named Mao, whom she learns is Actually Arata's little sister. Recognizing Koi's school uniform, Mao asks if she can bring Arata's lunch since he accidentally left it at home. According to Mao, Arata has been completely distracted ever since getting a girlfriend. He was even so upset minded that he completely ignored the Kaiju emergency alarms the previous night. Completely unaware she's talking to Arata's girlfriend, Mao cheerfully says goodbye after hearing the school Bell ring. Left alone, Kurui can't help smiling. At school, several students gossip about the rumor that Arata and Kuroi are dating. When
they see Arata arrive by himself, they immediately relax, convinced the rumor must have been false. Suddenly, they see Kuroi grab Arata's hand and mention that Mao has entrusted his lunchbox to him because he forgot it. She quietly scolds him for forgetting it and for ignoring the Kaiju alarm. Still holding his hand, She pulls him toward the school building despite several onlookers witnessing their exchange. Though Arana is happy with her sudden boldness. Once inside, they realize they've been assigned to different classrooms. Although disappointed, they promise to eat lunch together. As they head their separate ways, people
are still baffled about the nature of their relationship. Manatu excitedly congratulates Kuroi on officially dating Arada. While happily Praising her friend, Kuroi finally notices the curious stares everyone is giving her. She begins worrying about how her new classmates will treat her. Luckily, Wazu reveals they'll be classmates this term and proudly promises to protect her. Hearing that immediately boosts Kurui's confidence. Unfortunately, it disappears the moment several gals surround her and bombard her with questions about Arata. [music] Things only become worse because Manatu Is also being crowded by classmates eager to become her friend. Soon, another popular
girl named Rayu enters the classroom. Many of the students immediately recognize her and happily welcome her. Watching from a distance, Karoi quietly admires how beautiful Rimu is. She nervously thinks that if someone like Rayu decides to pick on her, she'll have no chance of surviving the term. Eventually, Ramu hears the rumors about Karoi dating Arata. She begins walking Straight toward Kuroi, bracing herself for criticism. Karoi is convinced that Ramu is going to insult her. Instead, Ramu suddenly presses a knee against Koi's back, correcting her posture. She scolds Koi for slouching, saying it's unattractive. Noticing Kuroi's
dry lips, Rimu immediately pulls her over to her desk so she can help. The rest of the class watches in complete confusion as Rimu fusses over Kuroi's lips. Carefully applying lip balm and a little makeup, Rimu finishes her work. Rayu finally introduces herself and even encourages Kuroi to call her by her nickname. Happy with her work, Rayu heads over to mingle with the other girls as Kuroi quietly stares at her newly colored lips. At first, she feels nothing has changed. Then when it's time to introduce herself to the class, she realizes she's speaking with far
more confidence than usual. Glancing toward Rimu, she finds Ramu smiling proudly and encouragingly At her. During lunch, Arata immediately notices something different about Keroi. Before he can figure it out, Manu excitedly points out that it's Karui's lipstick. She even compares Kurui's beauty to a Kaiju during its magnificent evolution phase. Flustered, Karoi hurriedly tries wiping the lipstick off. Arata stops her and tells her she looks beautiful wearing it. The compliment makes Keroi's heart pound so hard that she secretly hides the hand that's Beginning to transform. After school, Karoi notices the lipstick has already worn off. She
wonders where Rayu bought it because she genuinely loves the color. Although she considers asking, she notices Rayu chatting with other girls and loses her nerve. Still, she remembers how happy Arata looked when he complimented her. Gathering her courage, she finally approaches Rayu to ask about the lipstick. For a brief moment, Rimu and the others simply stare at her in Silence. Karoi immediately assumes she said something wrong, so she is surprised when Rimu happily invites her to go shopping. Rimu brings Kuroi to a cosmetics boutique. Inside the store, Ramu quickly finds the same lipstick she used
earlier and hands it to Kuroi. Seeing how delighted Karoi is, Rayu also offers to help her choose a matching blush. As they browse the shelves together, Ramu asks what sparked Kuroi's sudden interest in makeup. Karoi decides To be honest and explains that she has an illness that changes her appearance. Because of those ugly transformations, she developed a deep insecurity about the way she looks. Those insecurities have even caused misunderstandings with the boy she likes. She shily admits that the boy complimented her lipstick earlier that day. Now she wants to become someone who can genuinely feel
confident in herself. As Kuroi pours out her feelings, she notices tears welling Up in Ramu's eyes. Smiling warmly, she assures Kuroi that she's certain she'll become much more confident someday. Later, while walking home together, Coroi insists on buying Rimmo a replacement lipstick since she used hers. Suddenly, a burst water pike sprays both girls from head to toe. When Coroi opens her eyes again, she sees Rimo on the ground. But then, she gets surprised at Ramu's appearance. Seeing her reflection in a nearby glass window, Ramu panics. She frantically searches through people's bags, desperately looking for something.
Watching her, Koroi quickly realizes Ramu must be searching for the makeup pouch she accidentally dropped. Picking it up, Coroi holds it up so Ramu can see. Rayu immediately snatches it away and hurriedly reapplies her makeup. Almost instantly, her face returns to normal. Without acknowledging what just happened, Rayu calmly acts as though Nothing unusual occurred at all, completely ignoring Kuroi's confused inquiry. Instead of heading straight home, the girls stop by a cafe. While waiting for Rimu, Koroi notices that Ramu is taking a long time in the restroom. When Ryu finally returns, Koroi is surprised to see
that her makeup is gone. Without it, Rayma once again has the face of a gorilla. Calmly, Rimma begins reapplying her makeup while talking to Kuroi, fully aware of her Appearance. She admits that she wanted to open up about it because she trusts Karoi. Rimu explains that back in middle school, she was constantly teased for looking like a gorilla. At first, she didn't really mind. Instead, she leaned into the joke because making people laugh made her happy. Eventually, a boy she had a crush on told her that he loved her sense of humor. Hearing those words
made Rayu feel grateful for the way she looked. The two even formed a Comedy duo. For a while, she believed he liked her too, given how he would compliment her in private. Sadly, he already had a girlfriend. One day, Ramu accidentally overheard him making fun of her while talking to his girlfriend. [music] The discovery completely broke her heart. After that, her mood noticeably changed at school. Then, the boy she liked approached her, making another joke at her expense because he expected her to laugh along. Instead, Ramu finally snapped. She lashed out at him and everyone
else in the class. Consumed by her emotions, she climbed onto the school building and screamed about how much she hated herself. In the middle of her outburst, she lost her footing and fell into a patch of bushes below. The accident left her hospitalized for an entire month. Many of her classmates came to visit and apologized for how they had treated her. Even so, Ramu couldn't shake the feeling That they were still secretly laughing at her. That experience only made her hate herself even more. Ramu then shows Karoi a nearly empty eyeshadow palette. At first, she
followed the magazine's tutorials, even though she believed makeup was pointless because of her appearance. One day at the hospital, another patient noticed her makeup and commented that she looked pretty. Those simple words gave Ramu the courage to keep trying. Since then, she has Practiced putting on makeup every single day. She admits there were plenty of failures. Still, whenever she looked in the mirror, she'd encouraged herself to keep going because she truly believed she was pretty. Recently, all that effort finally paid off. She found a style that genuinely makes her feel confident. Instead of reacting with
disgust, Karoi is deeply impressed by Ramu's story. [music] Smiling, Ramu asks Karoi to keep her gorilla face a secret From everyone at school. She then reveals her dream of someday launching her own makeup brand. She's already taking her first steps by posting makeup reviews online. Without thinking, Kurui blurts out that Ramu could probably make even a Kaiju look cute. Realizing what she just said, Kuroi hurriedly tries to pass it off as a figure of speech. Ramu simply laughs and says she'd love to create makeup that could make even gorillas and kaiju look adorable. Listening to
her, Karoi realizes Ramu is genuinely a wonderful person. She finds herself looking up to someone like her. When Keroi arrives home, Ringo immediately notices the makeup on her face. She complains that Karoi looks much prettier without it. Feeling like she's being treated like a child, Karoi storms off to her room. Watching her leave, Rinko quietly remarks that she knows Kuroi is only wearing makeup because of Arata. Inside her room, Kurui Wonders whether Rinko is actually right. Before she can dwell on it any longer, her phone buzzes. It's a message from Arana excitedly talking about their
upcoming field trip in a few days. Reading his message immediately lits Kuoi's mood. Remembering how much Arana liked her lipstick, she decides to pack it for the outing. Unable to hide her happiness, Kurui kisses her reflection in the mirror, pretending it's Arata. A second later, she jumps in embarrassment When Rinko suddenly opens the door to calve her down for dinner. One morning, Kurui tries applying the blush she bought. Even after following Ryu's tutorial, the results don't turn out the way she hoped. Just then, her alarm goes off. Realizing she's running late, she hurriedly tries to
wash off her makeup. On the school bus, heading to their class camping trip, Kuroi feels disappointed that she couldn't get the makeup right. She had hoped to look a Little prettier today. Her phone suddenly buzzes with a message from Arata asking if they can meet up later, making her blush. After arriving at the campsite, Karoi and Manatu decide to explore the nearby lake first. Monatsu enthusiastically shares facts [music] about the area before confidently predicting that one day the dam will be destroyed by a giant renosceros beetle. Soon Ramu and several of the girls from their
class join them since they're all Assigned to the same group. Once everyone begins setting up camp, Ramu asks Manatu what kind of makeup she uses. Completely unfamiliar with cosmetic terms, Manatu mistakenly assumes Ramu is talking about some kind of alien. Watching the fun exchange, Kurui worries about whether she'll fit in with the rest of the group. The gals don't seem especially friendly at first. Noticing Koi's discomfort, Rayu asks if she's all right. The other girls Immediately assume Karoi has a problem with them. Panicking, Karoi hurriedly compliments their makeup. The atmosphere instantly changes as the girls
excitedly begin chatting with her about cosmetics. Relieved to see everyone getting along, Rayu encourages the group to finish setting up camp so they can start grilling meat. As they continue preparing the campsite, Kuroi realizes she's genuinely enjoying everyone's company. Being able to socialize with Them gives her a little more confidence in herself that she can get along fine with others. Once the dining tent is finished, they begin preparing the barbecue. Unfortunately, one of the girls fans the fire far too hard. While escaping the smoke, Keroi catches sight of Orata in the distance. He happily waves
at her, so she shily gives a small wave back only for Rayu to tease her about it. While preparing the food, Rayu and Manatu eagerly ask Karoi to tell Them about her relationship with Arata. Rayu encourages her to gush about her boyfriend. Embarrassed, Kuroi admits she originally thought about keeping their relationship a secret. However, she remembers how confidently Arana has always accepted their relationship. Someday, she hopes she'll become just as proud to stand beside him. Her heartfelt words immediately bring tears to Rayu's eyes. After dabbing at them, Rayu turns to touch up her makeup, admitting
she's Still not confident enough to start a relationship herself. When she returns, she asks Manatu what she thinks about love. Manaku enthusiastically replies that she already has someone she treasures dearly. Later, Ramu and Kuroi head off to collect more meat for the barbecue. Rayu becomes jealous because another school's barbecue looks much better than theirs. A student kindly offers her some meat. [music] As Rayu turns to thank him, she freezes because The student happens to be Okada, the very boy she once had a crush on. Kuroi immediately realizes he's the boy Ramu told her about. Trying
to protect her friend, Kuroi steps in between them to shield Rimu from him. Confused, Okata simply looks at them, unable to recognize Rimu at all. Unable to handle the encounter, Rayu quickly flees, causing Kuru to hurry after her. Watching them leave, one Okata's friend's comments on how attractive Rimu Is. That remark gives Okata an idea. Back at their campsite, Rayu stuffs herself with rice balls while rambling about how Okata failed to recognize her. She insists she's perfectly fine and that they should just forget the whole thing. Even so, Kuroi can clearly tell she's shaken because
Ramu's old ape-like mannerisms have returned. As reality sinks in, Ramu starts worrying that Okatada might still have old photos of her. She's terrified he'll show everyone What she used to look like, causing all of her current friends to look down on her. Frustrated, she decides she needs to get rid of him before that can happen. Before she can, Okata suddenly places a hand on hers and casually offers to move the rock for her. Startled, Ramu lets go and the heavy boulder immediately falls. Panicking, Ramu apologizes. As Akata finally gets a proper look at her, he
quietly mutters that she's beautiful. His words make Ramu's heart skip a beat. Sensing where this is headed, Kuroi immediately tries pulling Rimu away, but it looks like Rimu is completely smitten by him because Okata continues trying to charm her. He even invites Rimu over to his class's campsite to share some meat. Kuroi is certain Rimu will refuse, but to her horror, Rimu happily accepts, pulling her aside, Karoi desperately tries to snap her out of it. Finally regaining her senses, Ryu goes pale as She realizes what she just agreed to. She sheepishly admits she couldn't help
herself because hearing Okata call her beautiful made her incredibly happy. Secretly, she's always wanted to say those words as a form of revenge for everything that happened back then. Just then, Arata runs over carrying some treats. Ramu encourages Karoi to go with him, insisting she'll be perfectly fine on her own. She even says she'd like to spend a little more time with Okada to Get her revenge. Although still worried, Keroi decides to trust Rimu. As Ramu walks away, Karui can't help glancing back at her one last time before joining Arata. While Arata watches Karoi eat
the marshmallow he brought her, Arata quickly notices something is wrong. Knowing how much she usually loves treats, he immediately realizes she's troubled. Karoi is touched that he's paid enough attention to notice such a small change in her behavior. Gathering Her courage, she quietly asks whether appearances are important to him. The question confuses Arata because he's always thought Kuroi was beautiful. Unsatisfied with the answer, Kuroi presses further. She asks what he'd do if she suddenly turned into something hideous like a blob. Arata pauses to think seriously, and after a moment, he gently replies that as long
as it's Kuroi, he'd still want to be with her no matter what she looked like. Embarrassed, Kuroi apologizes for worrying him and admits she was simply feeling insecure. To reassure her, Arata suddenly reaches out and takes her hand. Without realizing it, the two of them slowly begin leaning closer to each other. Just as their lips are about to meet in a kiss, Coro pulls away in embarrassment, blurting out how much she loves the marshmallows he cooked for her. She quickly scurries off under the pretense of toasting more for them. She Ends up by the lake
to cool down her hands before they transform fully. They almost kiss feels too soon for her, and she fitted so much that her lipstick falls out. When she bends down to pick it up, she overhears some students talking about how Okatada is cheating on his girlfriend again, and that Rimu has already become his second victim during this trip. Kuroi can't help but feel angry for Rimu. On the boat ride, Okata continues trying to charm Rayu while Kuroi paces anxiously along the shore, hoping to get her attention. Okata notices Ramu's unusual banana earrings, and she explains
that they are a reminder of her past. Okata admits that the earrings suddenly reminds him of a girl he once knew. >> [music] >> Still unaware that Ramu is that same person, he laughs as he recalls how ridiculous and uncultured she was back in middle school. He admits that he Apologized back then, but confesses he never actually meant it because he didn't understand why she was so upset. Feeling heartbroken again, Ramu stands up, deciding she's hurt enough. She tells him to move so she can row the boat back, but he refuses. Their struggle rocks the
boat violently until Ramu and her makeup pouch are thrown into the lake. When she surfaces, she realizes all of her makeup has washed away and desperately tries to hide her Face since her pouch is nowhere to be seen. Coroi watches in horror as the commotion begins drawing a crowd. She then notices Arana standing beside her and suddenly gets an idea. If she can partially transform, she might be able to distract everyone with her tail long enough for Ramu to reapply her makeup. Nervous, she decides she needs a little confidence boost first and quickly applies her
lipstick. She reaches for Arata's hand to get his attention, but The moment they stand so close together, both of them become flustered. Arata notices her lipstick and immediately says he knows it looks really good on her. His words make Kuroi want to stop hiding how much she loves him. Ramu had shown her what it meant to be brave, and Kuroi decides she wants to be brave, too. Gathering all her courage, she leans in to kiss him, but she misses as her kiss lands on his cheek. She bolts away an embarrassment and dives straight Into the
lake. Meanwhile, while Katada is still trying to convince Rimu to get back into the boat. When he tries to pull her aboard, he finally sees her bare face and realizes she is the same Ramu from middle school. Terrified, he frantically paddles away, only for his boat to collide with Harugan. Harugan lets out a mighty roar. Kuroi feels a little foolish for believing she could stop at only a partial transformation. But at least becoming Harugan will buy Rimu enough time. While everyone's attention is fixed on her, Harugan carefully hides Ryu in her palm so she can
reapply her makeup. Searching for a way to regain her confidence, Rhyme notices Karoi's lipstick. Meanwhile, Kuroi realizes her transformation has stirred up powerful currents, and one student is desperately clinging to a tree branch to avoid being swept away. She rushes to save him, but Ramu notices the branch is about to snap. Without Hesitation, Ramu leaps into action, carrying the student in one arm while using the breaking branch to swing both of them safely back onto land. In a loud voice, Ramu orders everyone to run as she boldly faces Harugan. They roar at each other, but
Harugan instinctively recoils, leaving the onlookers stunned that Rimu managed to intimidate the giant monster. Rimu reapplies Crowy's lipstick, straightens herself, and finally declares that this is her real Face. She shily asks the other girls if they would be willing to lend her some makeup because all of hers was washed away, though she doesn't expect anyone help. Tears begin streaming down her face. To her surprise, the girls immediately gather around her, each offering the very cosmetics she had recommended to them. They thank Rimu, explaining that they always receive compliments thanks to her makeup suggestions. Deeply moved,
Ramu realizes She has far more people supporting her than she ever imagined. Okata scoffs, calling all the girls frauds for hiding their ugly faces behind makeup. The girls prepare to argue with him, but Rayu stops them. She admits she used to think just as shallowly as he did because she desperately wanted the approval of someone attractive like him. Now she knows she doesn't need that kind of validation because she already has wonderful friends. She proudly declares That the most attractive thing about herself is that she never gives up. She flashes Okata a triumphant smile and
begins insulting him and all the girls rally behind her. When Okata starts insulting him again, Haruan lets him get snagged by her tail and carries him away while roaring as though warning everyone about how shallow he truly is. Arata quickly calls out to Harugan, [music] asking her to let Okata go because he doesn't want people believing she is Evil. Haruvan immediately obeys him and drops Okata down in the lake before surprising Arata by gently kissing him. As she walks away, Kuroi quietly wonders if Arata could ever find Harugan beautiful, too. Even so, she feels proud
of what she accomplished today. For the first time, she even thinks she's beautiful. Back at school, the girls wonder why Harugan was carrying Karoi's lipstick. Karoi suggests that Harugan wanted to look pretty. Some girls gather Around Raymood to ask about her latest makeup videos, while others talk about how Arata is now dubbed the Kaiju prince due to his encounter with Harugan. One day, the video of the Kaiju prince goes viral, causing [music] Arata's popularity to skyrocket. While he isn't against being popular, this level of attention is starting to become bothersome for him. He even receives
a call from a network that wants to have him as a guest on their show, causing The [music] entire school to go crazy over finally seeing their school idol appear on TV. Kuroi watches all of this, aware that this sudden attention is becoming a huge burden for Arata, and she blames herself for it. Later, when the two of them finally manage to catch a break, Karoi apologizes to Arata. She still can't tell him that she's really Harugan, but she tells him that he can trust her with all of his feelings because she knows Arata will
be dealing With a lot of positive and negative things because of all the sudden attention. She even swears that she will become as strong as a kaiju for him to keep him safe. Embarrassed by what she just said, Karobi turns around. However, Arata suddenly hugs her and thanks her for her words. When he admits that he really loves her, Kuroi can feel her tail beginning to emerge. She turns to face him, overwhelmed by her feelings. She's about to lean in for a kiss when They suddenly hear a camera shutter. Kuroi immediately becomes embarrassed and worried.
She knows that if anyone catches her while she is transforming, it will only cause more trouble for Arata. Arata suggests that they keep their distance from now on, mentioning that he doesn't want people to write weird things about Kuroi. However, he promises that he'll look for a new place where they can hang out without being bothered by people. Curoi feels Overwhelmed by everything, so she runs back towards her classroom. Neither of them notices that Manatu is standing on the stairs above them and has witnessed their conversation. When Karoi returns home, Ringo scolds her over the
viral video of Harugan. She reminds Keroi that she can't get too excited and that she shouldn't be going around kissing people in public in the first place. >> [music] >> Curoi gets irritated by this and demands That Rinko finally tell her why she was born with the ability to transform into a kaiju. Ringo becomes upset and complains that Karoi is finally entering her rebellious phase. However, she quickly gets distracted by the celebrity appearing on TV. Meanwhile, Arada manages to safely return home. Mouse spots him and tells him that she was also approached by a lot
of people because of his sudden popularity. She didn't know the answers to most of their Questions, but she tells Arata that she did tell them that he has a really pretty girlfriend. Bao then receives a call and it turns out to be a friend from school. She tells Arata that she's going to video call her friend now. So, she leaves him alone with his thoughts. This gives Arata an idea. Meanwhile, Cero is lounging in her room in her loungewear and eating chips when she sees a message from Arata. It seems that he wants to video
call her so they can Talk. She learns that video calling is free, but she needs to borrow her mother's tablet so she can use the front-facing camera. Reno decides to let her use it, even though she was in the middle of using it herself. Coroa returns to her room and turns on the video call. She is shocked when Arata's face suddenly pops right in front of her. She immediately slams the tablet down before hiding under her blanket, realizing how unckempt she looks. Once She calms down, she sets the tablet up again. This time, she wears
the blanket over her clothes as she talks to Arata. She's surprised by how video calling works, but then becomes embarrassed because it means they are technically staring directly at each other. Kurui slowly inches out of the frame again, reasoning that she isn't wearing anything nice for him. However, Arata tells her that she looks nice even when she is relaxed and that it makes it feel Like they are living together. The statement excites Croy so much that her horns end up appearing. She quickly tries to hide them by getting closer to the screen so the camera
won't catch them. Arata finds this odd and decides to move closer to the screen as well, but this only makes Kurua even more nervous. She quickly tells Arata to wait a while so she can fix the angle of the camera. After a bit, she manages to find an angle that works for her. However, When Arata sees her, he decides that Kuroi looks a little too revealing from that angle and tells her they need to find a [music] new one. Kuroi tries to think of another angle, but then Rinko knocks on Kuroi's door because she wants
her tablet back. Arata already understands what is happening and tells Kuroi he is just thankful that they got to chat for a little while. He admits that he feels bad that they aren't free to meet up without people interrupting Them. He asks if it would be possible for them to see each other soon somewhere that no one can find them. The more he thinks about it, the more he realizes that there might actually be a place where no one would care about him being there. He tells Kuroy to wait because they reveal the place soon.
As they continue chatting about their meeting, Rinko tries to overhear their conversation from outside the door. The next day at school, Karoi is approached By Rayu and Manatu. Rayu is relieved that Karoi seems to be doing fine despite not being able to spend as much time with Arata. Karoi decides to whisper her plans with Arata to the two girls. Ramu immediately becomes excited over the fact that Arata and Kuroi are going to have a date during the fireworks show. Kuroi explains that Arata believes being in the crowd will make him stand out less, and since
there will be fireworks, people will be too Busy looking at the sky to really notice who they are. As the two girls excitedly chat about the plan, Manatu has a sad look on her face. However, she quickly covers it up by wishing Kuroi a good time at the festival. She tries to hide her feelings as the girls continue making plans about wearing a yukata. On the day of the festival, Kuroi struggles to put on her yukata. She soon realizes that it might be too difficult for her to do it on her own. So, she decides
That it might be better to just wear her regular clothes after all. Ringo walks in and is surprised to see Kuroi wearing a yucata. She soon learns that Karoi secretly plan on attending the fireworks festival. Reno suddenly pulls Karoi into a hug and without explaining herself begins fixing the yucata for her. By the time she is finished, Keroi is finally wearing the yucata properly. Reno even fixes her hair and does her makeup for her. Cero is surprised that Ringo is Helping her. Ringo admits that she was upset that Karoi planned on sneaking out, but she
also doesn't want to hold Kurui back [music] too much. They eventually end up by the door, ready for Karoi to leave. Before she leaves, she thanks Ringo for all of her help. Rinko can't help but smile as she watches her daughter leave. Though she secretly worries about what will happen tonight, Kuroi ends up waiting for Arata at their meeting place and is shocked when he Approaches her wearing a bunny mask to disguise himself. Arata is happy to see that she made it and is even wearing a yucata, making sure to compliment her. Curo finds it
overwhelming again and begins to feel her tail emerge, so she hides behind a stall. She struggles to calm herself down because unlike her usual clothes, the yucata does a bad job of covering her kaiju features. Once she is calm, Arana suggests they go around and enjoy the festival together. They Manage to look around at a lot of places and Kurogi even gets cotton candy which she shares with Arata. A kid seems to recognize him, but he is able to convince her to keep quiet. They continue enjoying the rest of the festival and Arata notices that
more people have arrived because it's almost time for the fireworks. He tells Karoi that he actually found a perfect spot for them to watch the fireworks and mentions that it will only be the two of Them there. However, Keroi tells him that it sounds suspicious, so he has to reassure her that it isn't. They begin walking to the spot, but it seems that there are some young adults there who are drinking. The group spots them and finds them adorable because they are obviously still high schoolers. One of the girls recognizes Arata as the Kaiju prince,
and Arata takes this as a signal to leave. They return to the festival grounds and Arata is no longer in high Spirits since he had lost his secret spot and Karoi tries to cheer him up. They notice that there are so many people that it's almost impossible for someone like Keroi to see the fireworks. Karoi notices that Arata seems tense, so she decides to tell him that it doesn't matter to her as she can't see the fireworks. What matters to her is that she gets to spend this moment with him. Arata is about to respond,
but they suddenly hear an explosion in the air. This gets the people excited and they begin pushing around to get a better view of the fireworks. This causes Arata and Keroy to get separated as they are both swept in different directions by the crowd. Karoi ends up near the river and her phone battery is dead, so she can't contact Arata. She tries to look for signs of him, but she just can't see him anywhere and it's beginning to make her cry. The thought of missing out on the fireworks with him greatly Distresses her and triggers
her to transform into Harugan. Haruan cries out to the sky because she is sad. As people begin evacuating, the fireworks personnel refuse to leave their posts since they want to continue their show regardless of whether Harugan is there or not. Harugan watches as the sky continues to be filled with beautiful fireworks, and it makes her wish that her date with Arata had ended with this sight. Reminded that her night is ruined Again, she lets out another roar, but is stopped once she hears Arata call for her. When Arda notices that he has Harugan's attention, he
tells the Kaiju that she needs to calm down so she won't destroy the evening since a lot of people have been looking forward to this day. She realizes that many people were looking forward to the fireworks show and even she had been preparing for the night. She decides to calm down and scoops Arata into her hands so he can Get a good view of the fireworks. If she can't be with him as Karoi tonight, then she can still enjoy the sight with him as Harugan. Appreciating the sight, Arata begins opening up about his feelings to
Harugan. He tells Harugan that he was actually out on a date with a girl he likes, but they got separated. He sincerely hopes that despite that, Keroi is still watching the same fireworks somewhere safe. When Karoi transforms back, she manages to find her Clothes, which were luckily left alone with her bag throughout the entire ordeal. However, she notices something wrong with them. Meanwhile, Arata is searching around for her. When she sees him, she immediately goes to him, but warns him not to hug her too tightly because she is dirty. It's only then that Arata notices
that parts of her yucata are in tatters and that she is even barefoot, but Kuroi insists that she is uninjured. Kuroi is shocked when He suddenly picks her up and asks for a little bit more of her time. She ends up waiting for him under the bridge and is surprised that Arata managed to find her a coat and even some sandals to wear. He then surprises her by producing a pack of sparklers. He tells her that he remembered that she said it didn't matter as long as they were together. Above them, a mother and daughter
are heading home. The family is shocked by the sight of Manatansu in her Mafer Outfit and Manatansu looks determinately towards Arata and Kuroi who were enjoying their sparklers. As Arata happily walks home, he recalls Kurui's disheveled state and worries about her safety. When he enters the building, he finds Manatu eagerly waiting for him. Manasu invites Arata to sit down, admitting that she wants to talk to him. The moment he does, Manatu accuses him of cheating on Koroi, which shocks him. He learns that Manatu thinks he is Cheating on Kuroi with Harugan. Though she's concerned about
Kuroi, the truth is that she is more upset that Harugan chose Arata over her when she constantly thinks about Harugan every hour of the day. Arata tries to explain that he believes Harugan just sees him as a kindred spirit and begins citing occasions when it seemed like that. However, the more he talks about them, the more Manatu believes that Harugan really is choosing Arana over her. It Seems like Manatu is past being convinced. So as a final attempt to convince her that he isn't in love with Harugan, he declares that Kuroi is the only girl
that he truly loves. Manu is shocked that Arata is already describing his feelings as love, but still calls Kuroi by her last name. So he repeats his confession, this time using Kuroi's first name. Manu stops recording, which she reasons as evidence that he doesn't love Harugan before adding that it's for Kuroi as well. She then tells Arata that his confession made her realize that she has never told Harugan that she loves the Kaiju. She tells him that perhaps Harugan has not realized that her grand gestures are signs of her deep affection. So, she needs to
be more direct about her feelings for Harugan. She decides she is done waiting around and it's her turn to look for Harugan and make her feelings known to Harugan. She runs out of the building and tells Arata that she'll be borrowing Karoi away from him for the weekend. Ba spots her and asks Arana what exactly just passed them by, a question even Arana finds hard to answer. On the weekend, Manatu brings Rimu and Kuroi to an all girls beach day on a private island. Kuroi takes a photo of a crab and sends it over to
Arata, then gets called by Manatu to join them for some sweets. Kuroi immediately brightens and is about to eat some of the rolled ice cream, but Ramu splashes her with some water and complains that Karoi is not wearing a cute swimsuit. She decides to take a photo with Kuroi so she can send it to Arata later. Karoi gets embarrassed and splashes water on Ru to get her to stop, causing Ramu's makeup to melt away. At home, Arata receives the picture and smiles at it, but then notices an unknown number calling him. He sees that it's
the same unknown number as before. Back on the private beach, Koi comments That the island they are on looks as if a kaiju might come out of the forest. Manu commends her for the observation, citing that this island has a lot of kaiju legends around it. She even shows them a photo of a cave drawing of a kaiju that was said to have eaten the island's residents. After telling her tale, she asks if Kuroi and Rimu are interested in helping her out with something. Ramu happily agrees, leaving Kuroi with no other choice but to agree
As well. After following Manatu, Kuroi finds herself wearing some kind of tribal priestess outfit because Manatu wants her to summon Harugan. Rimu helps both girls get ready, but Kuroi tells Manatu that she can't be of any help because Harugan is sleeping. However, Manatu begs her to summon Harugan because she feels that if she doesn't see Harugan, she'll have to give up on getting the Kaiju's attention. She swears she will love Harugan forever, But does not want to be a burden to the Kaiju. She also reasons that even if Harugan is not on the island, it's
an easy location for Harugan to get to. Kuroi decides it's best to agree to Manatu's demands from now. Since Karoi agreed, Manatu readies herself to meet Harugan and tells Kuroi to begin her ritual. Kuroi decides to make up a dance on the spot to summon Harugan, and Manatu completely buys it. Rayu begins laughing at the site, but ends up taking A nap due to the sound of the drums. The group is completely unaware that there's something else on the island with them. By sunset, Keroi is completely worn out and Manatu begins to believe that their
location is all wrong. She decides to try calling for Harugan by the cliff and Karoi decides to join her on her trek out of worry. When they arrive at the top, Manu renews her efforts and begins shouting for Harugan, even confessing how much she loves the kaiju. However, Haruban does not answer her calls, so Kuroi suggests they head back down before it gets too dark. Manu is about to give up, but then they hear rustling in the bushes. However, when she looks, it's a giant monitor lizard and not a kaiju. Manu gets angry since it's
not Harugan and even starts a fight with it. Agitated, the lizard is about to bite back, but Kuroi manages to push Monatu out of the way. However, Kuroi and Manatu end up falling down the cliff. Back in town, Arata meets with a TV producer named Toko. He tells Toko that he only agreed to see her so he can give her a decisive no to a TV appearance. Toko fains understanding of his situation then mentions how Arata must hate the media attention due to not being able to go on a normal date with Karoi. [music] She
mentions that she feels things will settle faster if Arata addresses the issue on TV himself instead of having people hunt him down For the truth. She tells Arata that if he agrees to go on one program, then they wouldn't edit him deceptively and he can return to his normal life sooner. Arata thinks about how much he wants him and Kuroi to have a normal relationship. So he decides to ask Toko about the details. With Karoi, she is alive and unharmed. However, Manatu is injured and stuck in a lower part of the hill. Karoi decides to
head over to make sure she is okay. But during her attempt to get to Manatu, she falls down as well. When she recovers, she notices the same drawing from Manatu's phone, but to her, it only looks like someone's graffiti. She sees something glowing on the ground and picks one of the pieces up. She still does not understand what it is, but notices there's a trail of it. She follows it to a cave and discovers that it leads to what appears to be a hatched egg. She shines a light up on the wall and sees a
more detailed drawing and This time the kaiju harugan is clearly depicted. She hears Manatansu call out to her, so she decides to discard the shell piece in her hand and go back to Mamasu. The two end up taking shelter in a hollow tree trunk. Manu apologizes to Kuroi for driving her into danger. However, Kuroi is more concerned about Manatu's leg, even if Manatu claims she will be all right. Manu tells her that what's hurting more is actually her heart because even after everything they Went through today, Haruven didn't come for her. She admits to Kuroi
that she assumed Harugan was just playing hard to get. She thought Harugan was just shy because her feelings for the kaiju are so intense. But after today, she feels that Harugan may never have even cared about her at all and will never grant her wish of one day crushing her. Kuroi studies Manatu and decides to ask what she finds so attractive about Harugan. Kuroi tells her that she has a hard time Understanding Manatu because to her, Harugan is a scary kaiju. She thinks about her own situation and knows that as long as she can turn
into Harugan, she will never have a proper romance with Arata. Manu tells Karoi that she acknowledges that there are many people who would think that way. But that doesn't change the fact that she completely adores Harugan. For Manatu, knowing that a kaiju as amazing as Harugan exists in the world fills her With so much excitement that she even forgets how to breathe sometimes. She tells Karoi that she grew up in a wealthy family and never seemed to click with her peers because she always thought the world was predictable. So, she always liked to escape into
her own world of fantasy. The first time she felt that the real world was interesting was when she first heard Harugan roar on television. Now, she treats every day as an opportunity to see Harugan. So, she Decided that even if Harugan hates her destiny or if the whole world were to turn against her, she would continue to be grateful that Harugan was born. She tells Karoi that even if Harugan technically rejected her, she still feels proud of her feelings for Harugan. Koi suddenly feels thankful for Manatu's words. So, she hugs Manatu and mentions how sorry
she is that she couldn't summon Hargon today. She then says that Harugan is also the reason they met and Became friends. Suddenly, they see that they are surrounded by the same type of lizard that attacked them earlier. Manu insists that Kuroi run and save herself because she cannot run with her injured leg. She also mentions that she cannot face Arata if anything were to happen to Kuroi because Arata loves Kurui so much. This reminds Manatu of something. So Manatu shows her the video she took, stating that Karoi can take it to remember her by. However,
upon seeing The video and hearing his confession, Karoi feels something inside her shift. By the time Manatu turns to look at her, she's already dashing away. Manu tries to run herself but trips. As the lizards close in on her, she begins praying to Harugan. As if Haruvang and heard her prayers, an explosion can be seen that even wakes Rayu. As the fires die down, Haruvan suddenly appears, screaming into the air. Haruan picks Manatu up and Manatu takes this as a sign that Harugan Is accepting her feelings. When Haruan lets out another roar, Manatansu feels herself
growing excited and encourages Harugan to use her powers on her. She gets so excited that she faints for a bit. Haruan decides to place her on her head, and Manu is amazed at the view of the night sky from a top the Kaiju's head. Manatu feels like the world has suddenly expanded and it's no longer a mystery why someone as amazing as Harugan exists. She tells Harugan that She wishes Harugan would someday meet other Kaiju. The mere thought of meeting more Kaiju gets Manatu excited again. Koi thinks that meeting other Kaiju would be something strange.
She doesn't even fully understand what she is, let alone what other Kaiju might be like. Her thoughts go back to the drawing in the cave and the other lizard-like creatures on the island. She wonders about the existence of other Kaiju, that worries her. Back at home, Ringo gets Worried because Karoi hasn't contacted her since she left. On Q, the news suddenly announces the sighting of a kaiju near the Obusawara Islands. Ringo pays special attention to the television and notices that the island where Koroi was spotted looks similar to the island where she found a kaiju
egg. It isn't the same one, but there's a possibility that the island may have another egg. She looks at the egg she found and decides to head there, knowing she must Do this for Koi's sake. Kuroi returns home later that evening and sees Jumbo King, but no sign of Ringo. She spots a note from her and it reads that Rinko has decided to follow her idol's tour [music] and will return home after 2 days. Curoi finds it strange but decides not to worry about it for now and gets ready for bed instead. Just as she
is about to head to the bathroom, she hears the television announce that the Kaiju prince is a special guest on their show Tonight. She turns to confirm and to her absolute shock is Arata. On the show, everyone is curious about the type of relationship Arata has with Harugan, and they are already aware that it was Toko who managed to scout him. They are surprised when Arata refers to Harugan as a female, and they even instruct him on what to say to make it look like there's a romantic relationship between him and Harugan. Though inside, Arata
is very hesitant to be on the show. Curo is In shock, and parts of her body have already transformed from the confusion of seeing Orado on television proclaiming that he will protect Harugan. After the show, Arata is put off by how it was handled because he only agreed to a simple news interview. However, Toko reasons that this is the best way to introduce him to the eager public. She promises to arrange a better show for him next time where he can freely talk as much as he wants. She Tells him that she's counting on him
to work hard, especially for his girlfriend. When Toko leaves, Arada takes the opportunity to call Kuroi, who is struggling to control her transformation. First, he tells her that seeing him on TV must have been shocking, but he promises to explain everything properly when they meet. Curo is able to calm herself down, and she slowly begins to turn fully human again. She promises to wait for him at their Usual spot. When Arata ends the call, he overhears Cena, who is an actress complaining about him stealing her spot. He notices that she is in the middle of
scolding her assistant, so Arata tries to stop her. Annoyed, she continues to poke him with her hat, mentioning that this whole mess is his fault. She explains that it was a longtime dream of hers to be part of that show. Arata notices that there are tears in her eyes, so he deeply apologizes for taking Her spot. He promises to do whatever he can to make it up to her. Seeing that she can take advantage of the situation, she tells Ara that he should talk well about her to Toko. Arata finds the request odd, but he
promises to try. Seeing that things might turn out favorably, she mentions that she's looking forward to sharing the screen with him someday. As she walks away, she decides that getting herself involved with Arada might be entertaining. At Their meeting spot, Kurui paces anxiously until she spots Arata approaching her. For a brief moment, the couple feels happy just to be together until Kuroy mentions his appearance on TV. This causes a crowd of girls to recognize him and people begin inching closer. Arada tries to think of a place where they can talk privately. Karoi then realizes that
Ringo is not home, so she suggests going to her place. When they arrive at Kuroi's apartment Complex, Arata is a little uneasy about being allowed into her home. Curoi reassures him that it's fine since her mother won't be home for a few days. When they enter the apartment, Kuroi looks for the light switch. Arata finds it around the same time as Kuroi and he accidentally holds her hand in the process. Suddenly, both become aware of their close proximity and Kuroi begins to panic. She tries to convince herself that Arata isn't the type of guy to
take Advantage of them. She suddenly feels Arata rest his chin on her head and he asks if he needs to hold back. This makes Crowy think that Arata is trying to progress their relationship. This makes her worry since they haven't kissed yet, but she wonders if couples really move this fast. She feels that if they go all the way, it will trigger her transformation into Harugan. But since he is being direct with her, she shily mentions that she will allow a little of It. She is surprised when Arata suddenly starts playing with Jumbo King, whom
he finds on the floor. He looks at Jumbo King curiously, wondering if he has met the dog before. He decides not to worry about it for now and he just enjoys playing with the pet. Seeing how happy he is, Karoi tells him that he doesn't have to hold himself back. [music] After a while, Karoi learns about Ora's plan, which involves making frequent TV appearances. [music] By explaining the Situation to the public, he hopes people will begin to believe that he isn't a big deal. Karoi admits that she thinks the plan is wishful thinking, but Arada
insists that the plan will work. She has a hard time voicing her disagreement because he seems so determined. Arata also adds that he wants to take the opportunity to tell people that Harugan is not a bad kaiju. Curo suddenly feels that he is wrong because she doesn't even believe in herself. She explains That Arata shouldn't be too trusting of Harugan due to the kaiju being extremely unpredictable. Arata looks troubled by her words and that causes Kuroi to feel guilty. Curoi thinks anyone would be upset, especially since Arata is going through all this trouble. When she
tries to apologize, [music] Arata tells her not to worry about anything. He reassures her that he can handle everything. This does little to quell her worries because she thinks this will Only make Arata more popular. She swallows her feelings, but it only gives her a bad feeling in her chest. Arata catches on to her discomfort, and Kuroi reasons that she feels slightly sick. Kuroi notices a red mark on Arata, which he explains was caused by an actress. He tells her about the woman who kept hitting him with a hat. He tries to explain how nice
the actress seemed, though Cory worries that the woman might be a threat. She feels like she wants to Demand answers from Arata, but she is aware that she needs to stay under control. While Arata is distracted with Jumbo, she trudges to her balcony. She finally lets out a scream, but a hyperbeam comes out of her mouth. Arata hears the blast, but Kurui quickly returns to the room. She tells him that there are fireworks which are being set off over the river nearby. She tells him that she's actually feeling a little sick, so Arata decides to
take his Leave. While walking away, he hears another blast in the air. Back at Kuroi's place, she has just let out another beam. She collapses on the couch where she worries that people will learn the truth. She fears everyone will discover that Arata is dating a freak like her. She wonders about their future, questioning when they'll get the chance to be together again. She worries about their relationship, fearing that the distance between them will only Grow. The next day, Kuroi is still feeling unwell. Rimu approaches her, wanting to know if Koroi saw Arata on television.
Manu mentions seeing the program as well, which she considers trash. She considers it garbage because it looks like they are trying to make Arata and Harugan a couple. She tells them it doesn't matter because the one who truly understands Harugan is her. She claims that she and Harugong were enjoying each other's company during the Airing of the show. They suddenly see Arata by the door as he tries to get Koi's attention. Almost instantly, other students begin trying to talk to him about his TV guesting. Kuroi tells him that she's fine so he can go back
to entertaining the other people. Monsu and Rimu mention that Arata must have it hard since he can barely have time with Kuroi. Rimu also warns Kuroi that Arata can get stolen by someone else. When she mentions the possibility of an actress Being interested, Kuroi feels a familiar feeling bubble up. She quickly swallows the feeling before it can turn into something dangerous. Swallowing the beam makes her feel better. Morimu insists that she talk about her feelings. Later, as Karoi passes through the park, a town resident named Dai spots her. Trying to get her attention, he positions
himself directly in front of her. Kuroi notices his stature, realizing that he is huge. Dai tells her that he saw her last night When she was using her breath weapon. Karoi tries to get away from the confrontation, but Dai quickly licks her off the ground. He tells Keroi that he'll let her go as she does what he says. [music] When Karoi looks at him, he shily asks if they can hang out. Karoi panics and she reasons that she can't go with the stranger. When he threatens to tell everyone about her, her tail suddenly grows out.
This allows her to escape, leaving the boy behind. Dai watches her get away, still amazed that he found a real Kaiju. Meanwhile, on a remote island, Ringo tries to scale a steep cliff. She reaches a part where she can pull herself up and rest. She complains about her condition, noting that things are harder now that she is old. Suddenly, she sees Kotaro in front of her and he agrees that she is out of shape. Reno immediately feels alarmed by his presence, so he explains his arrival. He saw Harugan in the news and He had a
feeling that Ringo would end up here. He then asks her a serious question, wondering if she took the egg 17 years ago. Ringo realizes she can no longer hide the truth because Kotaro is already catching on. She admits that she did, and she explains that the Kaiju was born on this [music] island. 17 years ago, Rinko and Cotaro visited this island for their research. Rinko refused to head home because she wanted to discover more about Kaiju. She was a Little put off because the team had decided to abandon their search. Even though they only found
bones, Rinko told Cotaro that she had come for a purpose. She wanted to carry out their plan, which was to research and preserve whatever they'd found. She wanted to know if there were any living kaiju because they already had proof of their existence. She told him that she intended to protect the other Kaiju whenever she found them. The two Continued to argue about their mission when the ground beneath Rinko suddenly gave way. When she woke up from her fall, she was shocked to spot a nest. Right in front of her, there were four huge eggs
resting together. She moved closer to study them, and she heard Kotaro shot from above. By the time he reached her, she was clutching her bag tightly. He finally noticed the nest, which [music] now contained only three eggs. Ringo then told him that he needed To keep the nest a secret. By the time Kotaro finishes recalling the details, they have already arrived at the cave. Following Ringo inside, he asks if Kuroi really is Harugan. He worries about the situation because Harugan was somehow able to mutate into a human. Ringo explains that Kuroi is a single generation
evolution, which allows her to live as a human. She also mentions how happy she is with how Kuroi turned out. Cotaro scolds her for taking the Matter too lightly, warning her about the danger. He tells Ringo that if Koroi ever loses control, the entire world might be destroyed. To his shock, Ringo says she is fine with that outcome. She wants a world where Koroi can live freely, which is better than their current world. They eventually find themselves in front of a giant egg, which is located deep inside. Ringo explains that it is one of the
eggs which they found several years ago. While she took Kuroi's egg with her, the other two eggs failed to mature. This caused the single remaining egg to suddenly grow to its massive size. She points to a camera and she mentions that she has been monitoring the egg. She feels that the creature inside will grow into a great kaiju just like Karoi. Kotaro pales at the sight of the egg and he asks if she plans to name. Ringo gets excited when they hear the kaiju inside roar loudly. However, Kotaro becomes Fearful and he turns away to
call someone on his phone. Suddenly, he hears the click of a gun safety, which reveals that Ringo is threatening him. Kneeling on the ground, he hands over his phone to her. She tells him that she already knew about his assignment, which was to keep an eye on Kuroi. Ringo then teases him about his high position, but she makes her intentions clear. She states firmly that she is willing to do anything to keep Keroi safe. Thinking Quickly, Kotaro mentions that the egg is starting to hatch. The distraction works, and he is able to struggle for control
of the gun. He pushes Rinko away, but she crashes into the giant egg. Her impact causes it to crack, which alarms both of them. Just as she's about to scold him, more cracks begin appearing. As the egg starts to hatch, Cotaro quickly becomes alert. He drags Rinko away so they will not get crushed by the rumbling. Once the movement Stops, both he and Rinko stare at the creature. They watch in awe as the kaiju towers over them. It raises its wings and it starts flying away into the sky. This excites Rinko because she knows that
it will be searching for Kuroi. That evening, the Kaiju searches for Kuroi and even damages a ship in her wake. The next day, Karoi panics over the fact that Gai knows her secret. She knows she needs a way to make him stay silent, [music] but wonders if she has To go as far as becoming a kaiju to do it. Suddenly, she hears something close to the river. She recognizes Dai, and it seems like he is with other kids who are clearly upset. She sees Dai retaliate by throwing a bag at one of the boys. Curoi
panics and runs toward the boy to check on him. But the boy refuses her help and calls Dai unfair for snitching on them. Curoi is shocked as she watches the boys insult someone as big as Dai and she starts to get the idea that Dai is their Errant boy. When the boys leave and threaten never to hang out with Dai again, she watches as he tries to chase after them but trips. Curoi is confused and tells him that a grown-up shouldn't treat kids the way he did earlier. She then notices a bag and assumes it
belongs to the kids, so she tries to call out to them. [music] However, Dai gets up and puts it on his back, announcing that it is his and that he is actually an elementary school student. At first, Karoi doesn't believe him. So, Dai shows her a photo of his class as proof. Unmistakably, he is part of the class photo and he explains that he has an unusual growth spurt that makes him look like an adult. He then notices that he has a scratch and cries after realizing that he is in pain. Crow feels bad about
judging him earlier, so she offers him a band-aid and tells him to disinfect the wound later. Dai is surprised that despite being a Kaiju, Kuroi is nice. Kuroi remembers why she has been searching for him and pleads with him to keep what he has seen a secret. She tells him that she has a medical condition that causes parts of her body to morph into kaiju like features. She even confirms that the hyperbeam is part of her medical condition. Instead of reacting negatively, Dai calls her amazing and promises not to tell anyone about her secret. However,
he wants Karoy to hang Out with him so that they can build a town together. Karoi agrees since it sounds a little fun. Dai asks her to keep it a secret that he has brought the other kids an adult magazine. Kuroi notices the nickname they used for him and Dai mentions that they call him that because people think he resembles Harugan. Koi understands why he feels bad about his situation. [music] He then excitedly explains that despite all of this, he still very much admires Harugan. [music] He talks about how amazing and indestructible Harugan is, and
to him that makes Harugan someone to look up to. He also tells Karoi that he thinks she is very cool and that he even loves her a lot. Koi feels touched and tells him that she finds him pretty cool, too. She even says that she is jealous of how tall he is. Dai feels ecstatic that he has found someone who likes him and punches Karoi on the shoulder to show how excited he is. He Then points to his apartment and mentions that they should hang out there after school to play some games. Cero is shocked
that he wants her to come over that day. She decides to humor him since it will be a while before she can meet with Arata again. Anyway, meanwhile, Arata has just sent a message to Kuroi informing her that he has a TV interview later. Toko then enters his dressing room and talks to Arata about a movie offer for a kaiju movie the following Year. She promises him that is only a ko role and that he has no speaking lines. Arata is a little disappointed and mentions that the movie has nothing to do with Harugan. However,
Toko tells him that the kaiju is based on Harugan, so his presence in the movie is essential. Suddenly, Santa also enters the room and greets Arata. Meanwhile, Coroi and Dai are in Dai's apartment playing a sandbox video game. Dai is having fun with her since she turns out to be a very good Gamer. After they finish building a house, Koi admits that she is having a lot of fun and has never experienced playing video games with friends before. When Dai asks how one even makes friends, Kuroi realizes that she doesn't even know how to answer
that. They realize that Kuroi's tail is grown out while they are playing and Kuroi begins to panic. However, Dai manages to calm her down since he knows the truth. He even tells her that they are kind of the Same. Karoi decides that she likes this level of comfort she has with Dai and wishes that she could be as open with Arata someday. She moves to join Dai again, but her tail bumps a table and she sees some family portraits. When she sees one with Dai's mother, Dai explains that she left them 3 years ago. Dai
tells Karoi that his mother has always been worried about him because he is alone. He is also willing to bet that she is still worried about him, so he Wants to make lots of friends soon so he can put her at ease. Curoi can see that this is really bothering him. So she pats his head and reassures him that his mother is already at ease because he has even made friends with a kaiju. Touched by what she says, Baji suddenly hugs her and mentions how much she resembles his mother. Later that evening, since Arata is
dumb at the schedule, he passes by a melon bread store to buy some sweets for Kuroi. You can already imagine how happy She will be when he gives them to her. Meanwhile, Kuroi has just left Dai's apartment and is thanking him for dinner. When Kuroi mentions having to go, she can see that Dai is hesitant for them to part and asks when they can hang out again. Kuroi easily tells him that she's usually free after school. She considers bringing Monatu with her next time, but then realizes Manatu might grill Dai with how much he loves
Harugan and [music] would possibly scare him. So, she decides to abandon that idea. At the promise that they will see each other again, Dai immediately hugs her. Kuroi squirms in his arms and pushes him away slightly, worried that people might get the wrong idea because he looks like they are the same age. Dai becomes confused and Karoi has to remind herself that Dai is still a kid and doesn't understand how they look to the public eye. She knows how being pushed away can leave a very deep scar. So she decides To pull him back into
a hub and mentions how much she loves him which he happily returns. However, Arata sees this and questions who Dai is. Kuroi panics and tries to explain that Dai is only a kid. But because of Dai's size, Arata ends up not believing her. Suddenly people around them realize that Arata is there. So Arata begins walking away. Karoi tries to go after him but is stopped by Dai. Karoi has to tell him that Arata is her boyfriend for him to let go. Dai is Surprised but then feels jealous that Karoi already likes someone. So he begins
shouting that he loves Karoi way more than Arata ever will. Arata stops to give them a surprise look before continuing to leave them. Karoi struggles to get him to stop. But in the end, Arata decides not to hear her out and continues on his way. The rejection hurts Karoi which triggers her transformation. She feels betrayed that Arata has chosen his public image over Giving her some time to explain the misunderstanding. She feels dread that Arata doesn't care about her that much anymore. And a similar bubbling sensation rises up her throat again. She feels like she
can't swallow this one since it is bigger than before. She feels that if she lets this one out, it will cause even more destruction than her other blasts. Suddenly, her mouth begins moving and she begins telling Arata that they should break up. She Talks about how it will be bad if people find out they are dating. In her mind, she doesn't want this, but for some reason, she can't stop saying all these horrible things and telling him that they are better off going their separate ways. When she starts mentioning how different they are, she tells
Arata that there's nothing wrong with wanting [music] to be in the entertainment industry. She tells Arata that he no longer needs to worry about her anymore And he is free to pursue anything he wants to do. Taiichu notices something sprouting from her back. He hugs her from behind so no one can see her transforming. Arata is about to check on her as well, but he notices that they are beginning to attract a crowd. So, he decides to take his leave. Kuroi can only stare at Arata, heartbroken that he doesn't even try to say that she
is wrong. Dai apologizes, believing the entire mess is his fault, but Kuroi says That her breakup with Arata is unavoidable. However, she tells Dai to leave her alone for now as she trudges through the streets. As she walks the streets, she can see a happy couple and she feels really unlucky because she wants to be in a happy relationship where she can proclaim her love for Arana. She decides to let out her frustration with a powerful roar, which for some reason is felt by everyone in town. The next morning, Rayu and Manatu Are chatting when
they notice Kuru walk in. They notice that she seems glooier than usual, so they decide to ask her if something is wrong. She decides to tell them, and Ramu is shocked enough that it shakes off her makeup. They try to convince Karoi to try talking to Arata again, but Keroi refuses, saying that she's already tired. She tells them that their whole relationship has had more problems than happy memories. Based on what she researched online, she realizes That she and Arata are just too different to be in a romance. She feels stupid because she already knew
that from the start, but still dated him. Managu tells her that she doesn't think that at all. She tells Karoi that Koi reminds her a lot of Harugan. She says that even if Karoi is small, Keroi has the same heart as Tarugan. She describes it as very big and always emitting a very warm light. She hugs Keroi and tells her not to be too hard on herself. Just as Koi is about to feel happy, Manazu reminds her that she is the priestess, so men should be betting to be with someone like her. Ribu seconds her
sentiment. She tells Karoi that she has every right to be mad at Arata for not listening to her in the first place. They try once more to convince Karoi to confront Arada when she gets the chance, offering to give her their full support. For now, they suggest going to eat some sweets after school so they can Strategize. They end up in a dessert place known for peach themed desserts. Kuroi's eyes land on the pancakes because they remind her of her first date with Arata. However, they are sold out, so she can't order them. To amend
the situation, the girls end up ordering the whole menu and discussing the differences between each dessert when they arrive. After their sweet treat, they begin walking in the streets, and Karoi thanks both girls for making her Feel better. They encourage her to speak and work things out with Arata soon because they can tell that Karoi is still in love with him. Suddenly, they hear people panic over a kaiju sighting, but then they notice that it's only a movie being filmed. They try to get a closer look and see that it's for an upcoming kaiju movie
that Manatu is familiar with. They see that Sema is there and Rayu gets excited. However, the mood immediately dampens when they Notice Arata is also there and it looks like he is very intimate with Cena. Coro watches them and feels her heartbreak. So, she suddenly runs off. As she runs, she wishes she never even dated Arata. The pain of the heartbreak is too much and she begins to think that she would have preferred her previous life over having to feel this. As she thinks of Arata, she can no longer hold it in and begins to
scream, but it gets drowned out by the Kaiju's roar. When she looks Up, she sees the Kaiju looking directly at her. Before the Kaiju's appearance, Orata was looking a picture of him and Karoi during her first official date. Santa took a seat next to him and asked if Karoi was his girlfriend. She noticed that he seemed to be looking down and even teased him about possibly going through a breakup. To her surprise, Erata was uneasy but admitted that he did break up with Karoi. She was about to tease him about it, too. But due to
How spaced out Erata looked, she decided [music] against it since she felt a little sorry for him. Instead, she told him about how Toko was an incredibly cunning producer who would do anything to make more money. While she could definitely help out their careers as actors, she told him that Toko wasn't a person to be trusted. Listening to her, Arata pald because he realized he might have been a victim after all. Sena asked Arata his reason for getting into Showbiz. Arata admitted that he was hoping to get more time with Kuroi, believing that people would
get tired of him if they constantly saw him on television. He mentioned that it was also a plus if he got to tell people that Harugan was actually a good kaiju. Sega mocked him for being dense, even mentioning that Kuroi must have had a hard time getting her thoughts across to him. Arada felt like she hit the mark when he looked back at how Keroi was Already showing hesitation toward the idea. However, he had insisted that the proposal was worth taking, not really knowing the trouble it would bring to their relationship. Seeing that there wasn't
a point in continuing this conversation, SA insisted that they just rehearse their reunion hug. She then hit him in the head because while she wanted to act with him soon, she did not expect to end up as his partner in the movie. At present, she scolds him for not Putting any effort into the hug, and Monasu and Rimu realize that they are only acting and the hug was all part of a script. They realize they have to quickly tell Kuroi because she is still heartbroken over what she saw. Suddenly, the ground below them shakes and
smoke can be seen in the distance, gathering everyone's attention. In that part of town, Kurui wonders if Akai has specifically found her to put an end to her because she is a kaiju. She begins Running with the crowd, convincing herself that it is an unlikely possibility. However, Akai continues to follow her and Kuroi has to duck inside a building to avoid getting captured. She cowers inside the building while Akai tries to get to her by attempting to tear the building apart while ignoring everything else around her. Once Karoi steadies herself, she runs out of the
building through another exit and manages to hide in a small alleyway. Akai realizes she is no longer in the building and begins rampaging around town in search of her. Karoi observes her and it dawns on her that Akai is really after her specifically. Back in a shooting zone, everyone looks at Akai who is in the sky. While the others are beginning to evacuate, Arata feels fear as the kaiju that makes an appearance isn't Harugan this time. Manatu, after recovering from the shock of it all, gets excited over Akai and even wants to Go over to
her. And it's Rayu who has to convince her otherwise. Herata realizes that Manatu is there from her voice and approaches them. When he is close enough, Rayu reveals that Kuroi is where Akai is because she ran in that direction after seeing him hug SA. At the mention that Karoi is in danger, something stirs within Arada. Instead of joining Sa in evacuating, he begins running toward Akai. He tells her not to worry because he is definitely coming Back with Karoi this time. The girls, including SA, decide to cheer him on, and SA gets embarrassed because they
sounded like lovers just then. Toko sees Arata suddenly spring into action. So, she tells the cameramen to continue filming and follow Arata. Meanwhile, the entire town is in a panic as the government scrambles to contain Akai with helicopters loaded with weapons. Koro looks around at the destruction Akaya has caused and is overcome with Guilt because she knows Akai is here for her. She tries to think of what to do because this is the town where all her important friends are, including Arata. Above her, Akai doesn't hesitate to knock down any weapons or helicopters headed in
her direction. Kuroi panics even more because she does not think she can fight Akai. With Arata, he is desperately searching the streets for Kuroi. Not aware that Toko and her team are following and recording everything. He thinks back to when he was only admiring Karoi from afar. She never talked to him back then, but he always found her gaze something he admired due to its intensity. When she walked past them, she made sure to turn her sharp gaze at him and Arana felt amazed by its coldness. His friend tries to correct him, saying that it
is that way because Karoi just glares at everyone. He thinks further back and is aware that his fear is being left alone again because he Couldn't make friends due to his weight during his childhood. He remembers that it was Keroi who helped him realize that he doesn't need to live a life pleasing others because she will always be fine with him regardless of how he looks. Since then, he has been much more honest with people. Right now, all he can do is look for her. However, as he is searching, Karoi has actually managed to leave
town. She checks her phone to see if Monatu and Rayu are safe and notices That Rayu has been trying to get in touch with her out of worry. She learns from Ramu's string of messages that Arata has entered town to look for her. Suddenly, Akai can be heard overhead and pieces of debris can be seen falling toward him before the stream is cut off. Kuroi looks back toward her town, willing her knees to stop shaking. She begins to run back toward town to look for Arata. Akai can suddenly sense her and begins flying toward Kurui's
Location. It turns out the debris missed Arata and he ends up looking toward Akay as she flies off. At the edge of town, Akai finally spots Karoi and tries to get close, destroying the cherry blossom trees with her wings and talons in the process. Tears well up in Koi's eyes because she remembers that Arata loves those trees. She manages to make it right to the town's border and stares at the destroyed town in front of her. She feels horrible that this has happened And knows she cannot allow any more of it to happen because this
town holds many dear memories of her and Arata. Suddenly, she hears Arata running toward her. Filled with relief, she begins running toward him as well. The couple feels a moment of peace when they see each other. And just as she is about to jump into his arms, Akai flies by, causing the wind to violently hit them. To prevent himself from flying away, Arata is able to hang on to a railing And tries to get a hold of Koroi. However, the winds prove to be too strong and Kuroi is blown over the bridge and plunges to
the river below. When she sinks, she feels her transformation begins since she managed to see Arata again. In her place, Haruban emerges from the waters and roars toward Akai in anger. Something Haruan's gaze looks familiar to Arata as he watches the two kaiju face off. Both sisters roar at each other before going Head-on and Haruba manages to catch Akai in a chokeold. However, Akai breaks free by kicking Harugan out of the way. Akai begins gaining some distance between them using her wings and dives down, managing to land a hit on Harugan. She tries the same
trick again, but this time Harugan uses her tail to stop her. Akai recovers and uses her tail to grab Harugan. Up above, Manatu is in a helicopter, thrilled by the Kaiju fight below. Her enthusiasm isn't shared by Rangum and Sena who end up joining her since they don't know what else to do. Despite the danger and the other girls begging her to stop, Manatu orders her men to bring them closer to Harugan and gets excited as her helicopter gets closer to the fighting cages below. Akai uses her tail to drag Harugan further away from the
town. Harugan manages to grab onto Akai's tail, dig her nails into it, and causes Akai to fall due to the sharp pain and tug. Using Akai's Tail against her, Harugan swings her around once before slamming Akai onto the river below. By the bridge, several people have gathered to watch the fight. Even Dai is among them, cheering for Harugan's victory. Unknowingly, Arata moves beside him to watch as well. [music] And it's only then that the two notice each other. Back in the fight, Kuroi is practically crying while she tries to put on a brave front. She
screams in her head for the army to back Her up and fight Akala as well because she's extremely scared at the moment and has no confidence that she can win. All she can do is blindly fight because of how afraid she is. Despite this, she is dominating the fight and slams Akaya back down to the river and knocks her out with a kick using her sheer willpower and adrenaline. Since Akai hasn't emerged right away, everyone begins to believe that she won and cheer loudly. Even Kuroi breathes a sigh of Relief, thinking that she has come
out on top and the fighting is officially over. She notices Ramu and Manatu on a helicopter near her head and is grateful that they are safe. She looks toward the destroyed town and wonders if Arata manages to make it out okay. Unconsciously, she begins walking toward Harroomi and all she can think about is how worried she is for Arata's safety. Memories of how they broke up suddenly run through her mind and she regrets Ever allowing herself to say such painful things to him. She knows it's untrue because the truth is that she really loves him
and breaking up was the last thing she wanted. She suddenly feels embarrassed about everything and swims fast toward Harumi, shocking everyone watching because she is heading right toward them. Everyone starts evacuating, but Kuroi doesn't notice them running away because her priority is seeing Arana. For some reason, those Thoughts reach Arata. Eventually, some people begin leading the evacuation efforts at the bridge because it is in Harugan's path. Dai is disappointed about the situation and tells Arata that they should go, but Arata tells him that he'll stay, reassuring Dai that he knows Harugan will not harm him.
Suddenly feeling competitive, Dai announces that he will stay as well and throws a tantrum about how he can be brave as well. Arata comments that Dai is acting Like a child over his age. This angers Dai and he insists that he is a child and even shoves his class picture at Arata's [music] face. Dai complains that even if he is a child, he believes he deserves Karoi's love more than Arata. At this point, Arata has tuned him out and instead thinks back to his breakup with Karoi. He realizes he should have at least heard her
out and now he has ended up hurting her over something unnecessary. Arata looks back to check On Harugan only to notice something in the water. Manatu and the others also know there's something red glowing in the water and try to get Harugan's attention. Slowly, Akai rises up from the water just enough to unleash a breath attack, hitting Harugan directly. Arata screams in worry at Harugan. As Karoi gets hit by Akai's breath attack, the last thing she hears is Arata's voice before the blast throws her toward the bridge, causing part of it to be Destroyed. A
reporter calls the attention of all nearby citizens to evacuate the area because it turns out that Akayi is still [music] active and a threat to them. As people below panic, Manatu is furious that Akaya has harmed Harugan and Rayu tries to hold her back from going after the Kaiju. Meanwhile, Sea is silently regretting joining these girls because now she confirmed they are a bit crazy for getting this close. Manu tells her servant to drop her at the Bridge, which he agrees to do, but Ramu tells them that the bridge is already giving way. They look
at the bridge and all three girls notice Arata hanging on to the edge preventing Dai from falling into the river. At the bridge, Dai begs Arata to hang on and Arata promises not to let him go. The railing nearly gives way causing both boys to nearly fall, but Arata manages to keep them steady. Arata then notices Manatu and Rimu on the helicopter and even Sea is there as Well. Rimu expresses concern for his safety and wants to help, but Manatu wants to leave him, insisting that he will be fine. Sea tells him not to fall
because they cannot afford to recast him now that they are deep into the filming of the movie. When SA begins demanding that they do something, Manu gets annoyed but decides to give in and tells her servants to let down the ladder. Orata helps Dai onto the ladder first and make sure the boy is clinging onto It properly. He looks back at Harugan and feels a hunch about something and he has the urge to try something. He decides to properly introduce himself to Dai and asks Dai if he seriously loves Karoi. Dai suddenly gets serious and
declares that he truly loves her even if he is just a kid. Orata smiles at him and he tells him that they are now rivals for Kuroi's love and that he is entrusting Dai to protect Kuroi if ever something were to happen to him. Dai is Puzzled by Arata's words and realizes that Arata is probably planning something. [music] When Arata makes no move to grab the ladder as well, the girls and Dai realize that Arata might attempt to put himself in danger. Dai demands to know his plans and tries to convince him not to do
anything dangerous because Kuroi will cry again. He explains that Kurui cried a lot after the two of them fought the last time and that if Orata really is her boyfriend, Then he should be the one protecting her. Orata agrees with him and mentions that it's the exact reason why he swears he will be back. He jumps into the river which shocks Dai and the girls. When he dives down, he tries to swim closer to Harugan, but some debris from the bridge hits him, opening a wound on his shoulder. At the surface, everyone stares at where
Arata has just dived and worries over his safety. Rayu also worries over Kuroi because they haven't Caught sight of her. But Manatu tells her that Kuroi is safe because Harugan will protect her since she is Harugan's priestess. Rayu has to remind her that Harugan is already knocked out. When reality crashes into Manatu, she takes a leap toward Harugan, but is quickly stopped by Rimu. Sena looks at the river, hoping for a glimpse of Arana, and to her relief, she does see him. The rest him as well as he manages to emerge from the river and
climb onto Harugan. He tries to climb up her back but notices that her scales are chipping off. He feels bad because he is sure she must be in incredible pain. He then feels something light up and so does Monatu despite being in the helicopter. Manatu tries to convince the others that Harugan is still alive because she sees one of the dorsal fins light up for a brief second. While the girls struggle to keep Monatu from jumping off again, Dai tells them that the situation is Really bad as he looks toward Arata climbing further up. Other
people can also see that he is attempting to scale Harugan and people begin to wonder what his goal is in all of this. At first, they cannot recognize who he is, but when the camera manages to capture his face, they recognize him as the one who is trending as the prince of Kaiju. Arada is aware of the danger he is in. But despite his fears, he really wants to reach Harugan, so he discards his Boot so he can get a better grip and continue on. He tells Harugan to wait for him just a little longer.
Rayu and the others try to stop him from progressing, but Ora insists on doing this because he feels like if he can get close enough, he can wake up Harugan since he believes Harugan is still alive. He tries to tell them that they are better off evacuating in case Akai returns. Matsu notices the damage on his feet and realizes that Arata might Actually love Harugan more than she does. So, she looks over at Rayu and they both decide to cheer Arata on, which makes SA think they are crazy. After a while, they notice that Akai
is making a return, and their worries instantly go toward Arata since Akai is heading toward Harugan to finish the other Kaiju off. As Akay near, Karoi suddenly wakes up in her bed, and she thinks the Kaiju attack was just a really bad dream. As she notices that The town is peaceful from her balcony, she feels incredibly relieved as she dives back into bed since her dream had too much excitement for her to handle. She sees that Arad is contacting her and realizes that they actually plan to go on a date today for pancakes and he
is on his way. She tries to fix her nails before leaving and realizes that since she is dating Ara, she can order both of the pancakes that she has been wanting to try and share both with Arata. She Thinks dating is amazing and soon her entire outfit comes together. She looks at herself in the mirror and feels satisfied with how she looks since she feels cute. When Arata arrives at her door, she's about to meet him so they can go to the cafe together. But just before she can answer the door, her spikes and fins
protrude from her back, instantly ruining the possibility of her going out because her outfit is now in ruins. Arata notices that she has grown Silent and tries to call out to her again. Shakily, Keroi tells him to wait a little longer since she isn't ready. She steps back, intending to quickly find an outfit that she can change into. She enters a strange room, and in it, she finds several drawers and boxes. She feels that she can surely find something here for her to wear. However, as she searches, she realizes that everything she opens is empty,
and there's no way for her to hide her kaiju features any Longer. She heads back to the door and apologizes, telling Orata that she cannot come out. Arata tries to get an answer, but all she can offer is another apology without an explanation. Coroi notices that Arata has grown quiet on the other side of the door and grows curious if he has given up on her. Though afraid, she decides to open the door and behind it, she sees the destruction caused by her fight with Akai. She falls to her knees and admits That she can't
go out with Arata because there's nothing cute or pretty she can wear and hide herself with. To her surprise, she feels Arata hug her from behind, telling her that she's already wearing something cute and that she can come back to him already. In reality, Arata has reached her dorsal fin and tells Croy to come back so they can eat pancakes together. He then hears a cry and sees that Akai has returned and he is right in range if she attacks. Daichi And the others watch in horror as they see Akai charge for another breath attack
toward Harugan. And this time, Arata is right there. Instead of running away, Arata decides to look at Akai and stand protectively on Harugan as the blast is sent their way directly. Everyone who witnesses what happens thinks it's over for them and that Harugan has officially been defeated with Arata as the unfortunate casualty. As the city's hope begins to crumble, Manatu notices something amazing about to emerge from the river. Suddenly, Haruban reemerges and this time it looks like she's completely healed from all the damage she took from the earlier battle. In her chest, her claws are
clutched to protect Arata. When Arata notices that both of them are safe, he is incredibly relieved because now he can properly apologize to Kuroi. Haruven's eyes well up with tears because this means Arana accepts both Her human form and kaiju form, and she no longer has to keep this secret from him again. [music] The world before her looks pink to her eyes again, and she clutches Arata protectively in her hands. She thinks about how she doesn't have to be pretty anymore. [music] Akai launches another breath attack toward them, but for some reason it hardly affects
Karoi, who keeps Arata safe with her scales. Akai tries once more to get an attack in by using her flight, but This time Koroi retaliates with a breath attack of her own while she loudly declares that she loves Arata. [music] The blast can be seen across the sky, and when the night quiets from Okai's cries, the people begin to cheer. They believe that Harugan is their savior since she has defeated Akai. Many of them begin chanting Haruvan's name in celebration. However, from up in the helicopter, Manatu can see that Akai is still moving. Akai brushes
off the Attack and stares down Harugan. And Haruan does the same. Suddenly, instead of attacking, Akay begins flying into the sky and away from the town. Manatu and the others wonder where Akai is going and if it's the last they'll see of her. At the town's edge, Kotaro is very uneasy that Ringo is crazy enough to have Kuru fight Akay like that. On a ship, Ringo watches the live stream of the fight's conclusion and promises Kuroi that she will be home to pick her Up soon. Meanwhile, Manatu's group frantically looks for signs of Arata and
sees him in Harugan's claws. They wonder where she is taking him, so Manatu decides to follow, unwilling to leave Orata and Haruban alone together. Meanwhile, Arata worries over Kuroi. He asks if her injuries are okay and mentions that he got to speak with Dai and learned that he was only a child, blaming himself for misunderstanding things. He also tries to clear up Seno's Involvement, explaining that she's only an actress and that they are both cast in a movie, so Keroi doesn't have to worry about her getting between them. Kuroi listens to his rambling and notices
that Arata is smiling at her as he explains himself. However, she is convinced that even if they love each other, she's a kaiju and the relationship is doomed to fail. She sets him down on the building and turns away to find a safe place to transform. But Arata stops her, telling her not to run away and that he wants to learn more about her. He insists that they should spend more time together and he doesn't care if she's covered in spikes because they will never hurt him. He opens his arms and tells Karoi to come
to him, calling her his coolest and prettiest girlfriend in the world. This triggers Koi to partially transform back into her human form as she dives into Ara's arms. With tears streaming down her face, she Mentions dreaming of this day. [music] Arata reassures her that she isn't dreaming and gently pulls her in for a kiss. When they pull away from the kiss, they both smile, but Arata admits that it's a bit hard for him to look at her right now. Realizing her state of dress, Kuroi panics and tries to dive back underwater to cover herself. Arata
manages to calm her down enough to drape his uniform over her. However, Kuroi mentions that they aren't safe yet Because she transforms into a kaiju when she gets excited, which troubles Arata for a bit. Suddenly, they see helicopters searching for him and Harugan, so Arata offers his hand so they can hide, which Kuroi happily accepts. Thanks for watching. This marks the end of the season.
