(tranquil electronic music) - Hey, I'm Everett Pelkey. I'm a Snowboard Expert here at Curated and today we are at Powder Mountain, Utah. And I was able to ride the Bataleon "Evil Twin".
We're not sponsored by any of the brands you see here. We are completely unbiased with all of our reviews. So the claim for Bataleon with the "Evil Twin", it is their staple, it's the fan favorite.
It's been around the longest. They know what they're doing and they keep updating it every year, adding the extra little pieces here and there to make it even that much better. It's a super fun jib board that somehow they found a way to be able to take it to the whole rest of the mountain and take that fun flexibility anywhere you go.
Man, I felt like I finally brought the East coast to the West coast. I was able to really just mess around, pressing this board, you know, get that jibby style with the confidence of riding bigger features. It was super cool blending those worlds together and the triple base technology allowed me to really press those butters, but also feel really good initiating turns and getting into more trundery sections.
I felt like the nose would stay up a lot better than you would even expect. Do you want help finding the right snowboard for you? Click the link in the description to be hooked up with an expert over at curated.
com. (tranquil electronic music) Free ride is definitely at the bottom of the list of things they can do, but it's not ruled out. I wouldn't take it in the most hardcore, steep terrain in technical areas.
But, if you're ripping a resort and you see some conditions that weren't groomed but still looks like a fun time, go hit it. You have nothing to worry about with this thing. This board is incredible for freestyle.
It is soft under feet, super light, feels like the way it plays around the nose and tail that it has rocker, but it's just a true twin camber board. It is really a blend of that medium flex, that triple based technology, and that true camber all the way through on just such a light board that it's stable, fun, reliable. You can really press it and tweak anything you want.
So, I would totally start off by recommending this board to true park riders. It's a lot of fun. It is super stable.
You can really tweak these things. It's not a true, soft noodle, jib board. So it's gonna be care a little bit more to that in between of, like, a full on slope style board but a little bit of extra playfulness.
It's not gonna be the most technically heavy, but they did add the carbon reinforcements to get a little bit more stiffness to it while keeping it super light. Keeps the liveliness and playfulness in it which is a lot of fun. I wouldn't recommend this for people who are more all mountain cruisers people trying to get in more technical terrain.
But, if you wanna get around, mess around, and turn everything into just a full on, just playful park, that's where this board is meant to be.
