is that I tend to start back from the crust which is irritating. Well, when I'm taking a bite from you, that's why we don't share pie. Can you imagine sharing your pie with somebody and having them start with the crust?
Oh, that's a Oh, that's a big bite. And that's irritating, [clears throat] too, if you're sharing pie. Cuz he took half the pie.
This is what I'm saying. Robin, that's not sharing. We don't share anymore cuz he eats it like that.
Look, the the crust is gone. Everything that makes a pie delicious is gone in his one bite. We're passing the rose garden as you see here.
Yeah. This is the Oval Office. My husband is in there somewhere.
Is he in there right now? He better be. That's where he said he was.
[laughter] From brutally honest answers to her great sense of humor, Michelle Obama proves that she is one of [music] the best first ladies this country has ever had. And these are some of her funniest and most unforgettable moments. If I had worry about who liked me and who thought I was cute when I was your age, I wouldn't be married to the president of the United States.
So, [cheering] [music] it's like, are they are they driving? You know, Malia will be. She's uh she's going to turn 16 this summer, so we're [music] kind of dealing with that.
Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen in DC, watch out. Uh yeah, Obama on the road.
Yeah. No, it's good. That's a good thing.
It's not normal. Well, you're also extra lonely cuz you had a full house during co Well, it's still ongoing. [music] But with at the height of it, your daughters were home and now they're gone.
So, it's an [music] empty house. Bye. Most people think living in the White House means getting the ultimate VIP treatment without having to worry about a thing.
But there's one detail Michelle Obama revealed that catches almost everyone offg guard. most interesting things I learned from your [music] book is that you have to pay for your food while you're in the White House. Go figure.
Most people don't know what it's like to live in the White House. So, you know, only 45 families have done it. But truth, the rent is free, staff is free.
You know, [music] we we shouldn't be mooching off of the taxpayers. But So, you're okay with that? Yeah.
But it's a little shocking because nobody really tells you this stuff. And then they let you get whatever you want. Um like if you say you want some exotic fruit.
Yes, ma'am. We'll get that right away. And then you get the bill for a peach and it's like that was a $500 peach.
[laughter] You know, I would tell Barack Barack, do not express pleasure for anything unless I know how much it costs. Wow. [laughter] Do you still cook?
No. Now, I know Oprah, you like to cook, but I like to cook when I want to. Yes.
I don't ever want to. Okay. [laughter] You went back to the White House recently [music] that you haven't been back.
No. Uh since uh wasn't invited the uh Do you ever have dreams that you still live there? Oh, no.
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that like that. Do you know what Michelle Obama's first [music] job was?
On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Michelle told Jimmy about it, and he asked her a question that made her laugh. What was your what was your first job? My first job [music] was in a book binder.
Yeah, let me tell you. How old were you? [laughter] What is a book bind?
A book binder? Was this a Ken Brewers documentary? We chopped down the A book binder.
Besides your husband and daughters, with which celebrity do you text most often? Ooh. Um, I'm not going to tell you because then you know it's like you don't text and tell.
That's not a thing. I started. That's not You just made that up.
[laughter] He wasn't good with time until we got married. He You said the first time you you met him, right? He was late to f the first time first day of work.
His first job dude was late. I was like trifling brother, you know. [laughter] I was like, I don't know about you.
You know, right there in the little pink sash. Yes. You How old are you?
How old are you? I'm 51. What was that, babe?
I think you were too young for 51. Give me a hug. Come on up here.
Give me a hug for that one. For most teenagers, going to prom is pretty simple. But when your dad is the president of the United States, even one normal night comes with a complication nobody expects.
So, in the book, you talk about uh Malia going to [music] prom. Malia asks, "Can I please ride with my date in his car? " So, he comes to pick her up.
God knows what happened to him [music] getting in because I tried to make security know he's coming. Don't hassle him. I told Malia, "Make sure his car is clean, if you know what I mean, because dog sniff the car.
" So, I was I said, "I don't know the kid, but you know, he he's picking up at a different house. " So, he comes in and you can tell he's a little nervous. Um, and we shake his hand, take a picture, and they get in the car, and they go off, and then like three cars follow.
[laughter] It's like them and then three cars with men with guns. And Barack is like, "This makes running for a second term all [music] worthwhile. My daughter is being followed by men with guns.
" Yeah. He's like, "I'm good. " And there was one little White House secret Michelle Obama kept for all eight years.
The whole eight years we were in the White House, we used Laura Bush's Netflix password. Really? Wow.
a revelation. Laura, sorry. [laughter] Send me the bill.
Being first lady, it's it's exp Barack would look at the clothing bill. He'd be like, "Girl, [laughter] I'd like a Leo. " I'm like, "Dude, just just stand down.
Just stand down, dude. " This is you uh uh this is after uh the Trump inauguration, just waving from Air Force One. Yeah.
It's like, can you just walk me through? Bye, Felicia. [cheering] Have you ever wondered how Michelle and Barack Obama have maintained such a lasting marriage?
It turns out Michelle has one simple trick that makes her appreciate Barack a whole lot more. And I love my husband, but there are times I need to [music] go to my friends to talk about my husband. [laughter] And then I went home and I was like, "Oh, you're not so bad.
" I am thrilled to be here today alongside [music] the vice president and my favorite person here, Jill Biden. Uh along Oh, yeah. [laughter] You should not eat ketchup after the age of eight.
[laughter] I'm hoping we don't have a ketchup sponsor on this show and not Well, we won't. [laughter] How you cutting the people off of ketchup so young, dude? That's the That's what we That's what [music] we take issue with in our household.
Michelle Obama learned the hard way that living in the White House comes with one major problem. You apparently can't just leave your own house. So, I went to Barack's office and I said, "We should go outside.
" And he was like, "Babe, I've got too much stuff to do. I can't go out. " I went to Malia's room and I said, "Come on, go with me.
" And she says, "Okay, I'm down. " So, it's me and Malia and we're trying to get out of the White House. So, we rush down the stairs and you can see the agent thinking, "Why are they running?
" He starts following us and I'm like, "Run faster, run faster. " So, we go to the door and the door is locked. So, now there are many people behind us.
And they're like, "Uh, ma'am, where are you going? " I say, "I'm going out. " And then the usher says, "Ma'am, um, if you walk out there, you will be on camera in front of the nation.
" Now I'm in ripped up shorts, no makeup, and I thought, h, do you have a point? [laughter] She even revealed the one thing Barack would do at the dinner table that made her and Sasha immediately regret letting Malia ask him a question. Malia will start it because she usually asks the serious question, "Well, dad, tell us about your day.
" "Oh, and what about that conversation on uh global warming? " Sasha and I are like, "Oh god, no. Don't get him started.
" He's like, "Well, no, I'm glad you I'm glad you asked that. Um, let me just um let me just answer that in three points. One, and then one A, and then one A and B.
" And Sasha and I are like, "What are all these cameras for then? What's that one for? " Multiple angles.
What's that? If you want to like speak right to [music] the camera, it's like And another thing. If you want to do that, you may live your dream.
In the interview with Oprah, Michelle Obama revealed how many close friends she actually has. And Oprah's response made the entire room lose it. [music] We're coming to stay with you graciously hosting us.
And you said, "Bring your friends. " And I was like, "Okay. " Um, and she's like, "How many people?
" And I said, "Well, it's like 12. " 12. And you're like, "You don't have 12 good friends.
" I do. I was like, "I do. " And Oprah was like, "I got Gail.
" And what I said was, "The only person I know are 12 good friends was Jesus and the disciples. " And then one of them betrayed him. Okay.
Not just because I'm older and greater. [laughter] Said I was so fine. I'm not going to tell Michelle you said that.
[laughter] Although Michelle does a group. I hadn't seen that. I love that you hadn't seen that.
But you do know I heard about it. Yeah, you heard about it. I came home.
That's the first thing he said. I was like, "How'd it go? " Somebody said I was fine.
[laughter] I was like, "Oh, really? That's so sweet. " My kids, they're uh 15 and 12 and they want nothing to do with us.
No, I I am so serious. [laughter] I mean, Malia's like, "God, please just don't come to my school. " Yeah.
Right. Just keep your SWAT [music] team and your [laughter] And they, you know, they really want normaly and the White House isn't normal.
