So, we just got to PDX in less than 30 minutes. Took about 25 minutes to get down from Richfield and um we already checked in. Oh my goodness.
So, this is our first time at the airport since they just did the remodel. Look at this. [Music] Okay, our lighting is terrible.
We'll try this and then re-record it. But we are on our way to the airport. We are headed to You're going to have to sit forward a little and take your hat off.
Take your hat off. This is dangerous. Doing 120 mph right now, you know.
No, you're not. You drive like a grandpa. Well, you're driving like a Grandpa Andredy.
You don't know. You don't know who that is either. Mario and Okay.
So, we are on our way to PDX. We are going to visit family in California. And I thought it'd be fun to talk about kind of a pros and cons of California and versus Washington and like this question that we get asked all the time, which is, you know, would you ever move back to California?
And so we're going to answer that emphatically. Emphatically. So we're about to go to PDX.
I can tell you that first pro of living in Southwest Washington is that um we left home and we are less than 30 minutes to an international airport. That is one thing that clients are constantly saying they want to be within 30 minutes of the airport. And at least in Southern California where I grew up, that's a lot harder to do.
Do you remember how long it used to take to get from Rancho Cukamonga to LA? 2 hours. spent an hour with no traffic, but you had to be pretty lucky for that.
Yes. Um, and then even like when we were in Myrietta Tmacula, it was what, 90 minutes to LAX, an hour to San Diego. Again, all with no traffic, which is a huge stipulation.
So, we love PDX. This is our first time seeing it since it's been remodeled. So, we're really excited.
[Music] [Music] Oh, this is so cool. So, fun fact about me, I do not like revolving doors and I will try to avoid them if I can. Do you have any fun facts you want to share with the folks about the airport?
myself about yourself if you're part. All right, some fun facts for you guys. So, we just got to PDX in less than 30 minutes.
Took about 25 minutes to get down to Bridgefield and we already checked in. Oh my goodness. So, this is our first time at the airport since they just did the remodel.
Look at this. Wow. Wow.
Wow. How beautiful. Oh, what?
So, you just pull up here and you just walk in and this is it. Now, where are we going? [Music] Oh, you know what they did?
They did like that place where we got stuck in Europe where they like they're all interchangeable check-ins. And there's the classic PDX carpet. Oh, this is Oh my god.
Wow. Guys, it even smells nice in [Music] here. All right, here we are.
We're going to Ontario 8:40. Go a little early on time. This totally feels like European airport.
Say that for the people. I said I can see what you mean. This totally feels like like European airport.
Like can you smell the wood? I can smell it. But I like the parquet.
It's really cool. Super sleep. Feels so warm and cozy.
Trees. How do we get to security now? I think this way, right?
Oh, I need to check which uh concourse we are at. Wow. It's like how did they make this out of that, you know?
So, this has been covered up for a long time. Look at the trees. Oh, so we already did our online check-in.
We have our boarding passes and we are headed to security. [Music] [Music] Look at the long security lines at [Music] 7:00. All right, we made it through security almost.
Uhoh. We'll see if we took all of our prohibited items before. Let's see.
Oh no. Mine's on the other side. See what's going on.
Are they mad at me for recording? I don't know. By the way, it is like just after 7:00.
I know it looks like it's the middle of the night, but it's not. Have a good day. Have a good day.
Oh, done. Thank you. It sure looks like it.
It's very romantic. Oh, thank you. Sir, do you have any illegal paraphernelia in your bag?
Look at these fancy seats. Oh, that's so smart. This is for Saw Pass.
I love it. I like that. And you can slide too after you're done.
Like wee. This is so smart. Okay, so I just found our parking ticket.
What time did it say? 7:12 p. m.
And it is now 7:35. So, from the time we got the ticket at the front of the parking structure till now has been 23 minutes to get parked into the airport. We already pre-checked in and through security.
And that's one of the reasons we love Portland and the Portland airport. These hats work wonders. Get your hat and flow right through security.
Check out [Music] C121. We're looking for C12. I don't see it.
If you're a lounge, so we're here. This is Capers Beastro. How do you get there?
You'd think you'd have to go around this way. We have this work time. I don't think so, cuz our flight boards.
I don't know. Do you want to go on an adventure? I just rather not be running back to the [Music] plane.
[Music] Want mod pizza. You like your airport with a little live music, don't you? You let it be.
Hey, I was just going to say that. Let's go to the Columbia sign. [Music] Careful.
This way. You feel good? 29.
Okay. We'll be in uh California in 2 hours. Hello.
[Music] Hello. Hello. Any champagne or water, guys?
Uh, water, please. Are you excited about the lake? It It records audio, you know.
Lots of leg room. Absolutely. All right.
We made it. We are no longer at PDX. It is 10:30.
We just landed in California and hopefully Oh boy. What a man. What a man.
What a good man. Thank [Music] Hello. Oh no.
Oh no. [Music] I hope you've enjoyed this look into the new PDX remodel where the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty meets innovative designs. And the centerpiece was obviously the breathtaking 9 acre mass timber roof crafted from timber, all sourced within 300 m of PDX.
It's not just about aesthetics. The remodel has emphasized sustainability and local craftsmanship, including contributions from regional tribes and family-owned forests. Inside, there were over 5,000 live plants and 72 trees to bring the outdoors in and enhance the calming atmosphere.
Now, there's more space, more calm, and even more of what we love, like local favorites, Stump Town, Salt and Straw, and Powels. They're all still here with just a little bit more breathing room. All of the shops and dining in the new PDX airport are local brands.
So traveling through Portland has never felt easier and more like well Portland. If this is your first impression of the new PDX airport, you're already off to a great start.
