The money's got to come. The difference between collective guilt and individualism. Well, I don't want you to feel guilty.
No, I I don't. Yeah. And I think because I didn't do it.
I think more black conservatives, but you benefited from it. You benefited from it and you still benefit from it. Bill Maher got into a heated confrontation with one of the guests on his show, this woke rapper on the right side of the screen right here.
Killer Mike goes on Real Time with Bill Maher and starts to demand reparations for black people. And Bill Maher having the little bit of common sense needed to shut him down on his show. Real time with Bill Mer.
Let's get to this clip here where Bill Maher shuts down this woke rapper for clamoring for reparations. Live on Real Time with Bill Maher. A comment on my editorial that I just did about how there's a lot of materialism in music these days and maybe it's not great for the kids.
I I think there's materialism in American society period. You're we're just musicians and artists. A lot of times in terms of when art becomes commerce, it's just a reflection of where society is.
when you were talking about, you know, it used to be a lot of and hoes and homophobia in there. Um, hoes, and homosexuals buy music. And at a certain point, the people who make music was like, "It's not cool to keep saying this cuz they got better buying power than just the guys who are mad at home.
" And what you see now is the people on top of the charts of the Kendrick Lamars, the Drkes, the JC Holes, because society, um, what is it? Um, Hueie said, "It's not the vanguard that moves the people. It's not the leadership.
It's when the people are ready to move. " So, I think that I think [applause] when I when I have arguments with Annayia, my 26-year-old daughter, I know that there's a change coming because of the way she views the world. So, I think musicians and artists for commerce are going to adjust.
But when it comes to money, we have an infatuation with money in this country. You know, so much to the point we went and kidnapped a bunch of people 400 years ago, made them work for free, and said boom, the greatest nature in the world. So, you know, happy Black History Month.
Happy Black History Month. It's like it's it's like a relationship fight. You never let it go.
No, you can't. I'll tell you this. Speak speaking of money, you want to let it go.
Give prepare reparations package for this for this for black people in this country. For people and and and I and I and I'll tell you this, the leader of the feds, it's just so stupid. It's so st you you everyone knows it's stupid.
Everyone just wants to watch this idiot get dunked on. But it's so stupid for this guy, Killer Mike, to go on Bill Maher's show and be like, "Oh, you want everybody to let go of the racial issues? Let's just give black people reparations then.
That'll do it. " Yeah. Yeah.
For sure. That will definitely heal the divide between white and black people that black people are getting free money just because they're black. That will definitely do it, man.
Great. Absolutely genius idea. What an actual idiot.
Didn't I buy dinner last time? Yeah. You do it in the restaurant.
that that does not count. You did off you offered to marry my wife if I died early. Absolutely.
But I do I do think this country could benefit from a reparations package that included a cash that included reversal of red lining by helping black people be homeowners. Understand credit and understand Americans that if if the black community has more money, this country has more money. We need to start [applause] seeing ourselves in a relationship.
As long as we have the topic on the table. What do you think about that reparations? Vik Rama Swami just texted me his Taylor Swift playlist.
I'm I haven't been paying attention. So, I'll [laughter] I'll You're dodging this question. I'll dodge out in terms of what reparations reparations sending out a check.
Uh someone's got to pay. No, no. I'm not I'm not for reparations.
I'm not I'm not for that at all. Um at the end of the day, uh this country owes 34 trillion and the government doesn't owe that money. You all owe that money.
Don't be Don't be fooled. The money's got to come from the difference between collective guilt and individual. [clears throat] I don't want you to feel guilty.
No, I I don't. Yeah. And I think because I didn't do it.
I think more black conservatives, but you benefited from it. You benefited from it and you still benefit from it. Yes, that's true, too.
So, my thing is my thing is just help spread the benefits. But, okay. But, you know, there are reparations that do go on in different ways.
Yeah. Absolutely. And I didn't say absolutely just give me a few million dollars and I'm fine.
No, I think that trade and higher level education. I do think a cash payout. I think that there should be a mortgage forgiveness.
I think that we should I think that you're an actual idiot and I wish I could use stronger language without getting dinged by YouTube. It's so stupid. Like, what problem are we trying to solve here?
Are we trying to just solve the, you know, black people should be superior problem, or are we trying to solve the problem of poverty? Because if we're trying to solve the problem of poverty, which is what these people will claim, then why don't we just give more support to broke people? Not why do they have to be black in order to get this support?
Like, and I'm not even for that, by the I don't think we should just give out free money to someone because they're poor. I think there's things that you can do to not be poor anymore. You know, a lot of people uh we don't have to get into that.
But, you know, I I think that there's a lot of things that people can do to to no longer be poor. And, you know, if we're going to try and solve the poverty problem, there's ways to solve it that's not only helping the black people in poverty. So, that doesn't make any sense.
Let's get better education for all poor people. Let's do these things that he's talking about for all poor people if that's the problem that we're trying to solve. The problem is that's not the problem that they're trying to solve.
They just don't like white people. And like, let's be real, they just they think that, you know, they are using this as an opportunity to give some free money if they can. And also, most of these people that clamor for this stuff, they they just don't like white people very much.
Like, let's just be 100% honest about the situation. This guy probably just doesn't like white people, you know, and and he he won't ever say that, I don't think. But most of the time, you know, if people are talking like this, they have this like subconscious or, you know, deeprooted problem with white people because they think that white people are the enemy.
Have an incentive to incentivize black wealth in this country. Robert Smith billionaire had an interesting conversation where he wanted to tax corporations 2% of wealth. Imagine what 2% of multi-billion dollar companies does for black um for black society.
What it does is it creates a place where it's not perfect, but Atlanta, black people have opportunity. And if you talk to BR Governor Brian Kemp in Georgia, Georgia, we also have a Republican governor who I have a relationship with. For the last 10 years, we've been number one in business.
We've created over 60,000 jobs and have more jobs coming. I would challenge you to to help put together a reparations package that made the rest of America look more like the opportunity. Well, he's from New Hampshire.
That's not going to happen. Well, but but is it, if I may, Lord? No, they didn't want to get into a reparations discussion.
It would cost you hundreds of dollars up there. Well, and then you got the Well, again, is it what about the Native Americans who are, you know, you got to go down and when we're done with you black people arguing against reparations for anyone? We've never argued against res reservations.
[clears throat] We've never argued against any payouts for people in America is wrong. We're simply saying while we're at the table, let's do something to aid the people that until 60 years ago lived in aparttheid. Okay.
But 60 years is not very long. [applause] With with Native Americans, we gave them the the casino industry. What about, you know, super could black people have the marijuana industry?
Well, I'm something like that. Could we look at his face? Would you would you give us give us give That's what I'm saying.
Give us marijuana. Multi-billion dollar industry. It's still fresh.
It's still growing. Why doesn't killer Mike have a marijuana license in Georgia? I'm I'm out of the business.
Will you call Brian Kim for me now? I'll call Brian right now. I don't know.
Yeah. Like, why do these people think that they and I don't want to say these people I'm I'm sorry. I should I misspoke.
Why does this person Killer Mike think that he's owed the marijuana industry? Like, why do you even like why do you even bring that up as like a serious discussion? You're not owed that, man.
Like, you were never a slave. And like I I don't think we necessarily gave the casino industry to Indians like the Native Americans. Sorry, not Indians.
Can't say that word. Um but you know, we didn't give the the casino industry to Native Americans. We made it easier for them to make profit off of casinos.
You know, they they can make more money off of them, you know, easier. But like there's non-native Americans that run casinos very successfully. So like, you know, what are we saying?
Give the marijuana industry to black people. Does that mean that no non-black people can run any sort of business in, you know, going like in regards to marijuana? That doesn't make any sense.
Like, I don't even know what this guy's talking about. And he doesn't know what he's talking about either. You know, ultimately, let me know in the comments though what you guys think about Bill Maher putting this woke idiot, this woke rapper, Killer Mike, in his place here live on Real Time with Bill Maher.
And what do you think about Killer Mike's ideas? Do you think they're as stupid as I think they are? Or maybe do you think reparations could actually work for black people?
I just don't see it healing any sort of tension. I think it would just make the tension worse. And you know, it's it it would make everything worse.
It' make everything worse. Like if if we want to solve the poverty problem in America, let's solve the poverty problem. Let's not solve the black poverty problem.
Let's solve the poverty problem. No matter the race, white, black, purple, who cares? Let's just solve the poverty problem.
