If you could only choose one, a desktop, gaming laptop, or handheld, which would you pick? And if you can't decide which makes sense for you, by the end of this video, you'll be fully confident. For desktops, easily the biggest selling point is pure performance.
That's because you're getting a full-size GPU, CPU, and RAM, which allows for proper thermals. You also have the option to build it yourself or buy a pre-built. Both of which allow full freedom and flexibility to upgrade any component whenever you want.
The trade-off is they're not portable. However, gaming laptops solve that issue as they're very portable, accommodate very well for small spaces, and what people seem to forget is they're very capable of performing just as well and in many cases better than desktops. The drawbacks are they can run very hot or loud if under a load of stress, don't have good battery, and typically come at a high cost as you're taking powerful components and shrinking them down to size to fit a small profile.
Then we have handhelds. I can play on the couch, on a plane, or in my bed. Depending on the model, they can run full Windows 11, Steam, or take for example the newly releasleased ASUS collab with Xbox, which gives you a console-like experience.
The unfortunate downside is again poor battery health on performance mode, a much smaller viewing experience, which to some might be a dealbreaker, and minimal upgrade options, if any. However, I'm really curious to know which item you would choose and why. And if you gained some value from this video, follow for more tech content.
