changes to the softcore mode in Rust have released which include corpses that save your loot which you can repair if your base gets raided the Easter event will begin on April 10th which brings in a few new items some new DLC is released and you'll get a free trophy if you connect your Discord to your rust account and there were also a bunch of quality of life changes this update as well as a sneak peek into the jungle biome which sounds like it's going to be making its way to Ox 2 very soon over on
the blog for rust we can see all the changes that have happened to the softcore game mode the most important being the new Deployable debris the list of items that you see on the screen are the deployables that are set up for this and if destroyed they will hold 50% of the contents inside of them you'll be able to repair them and or pick them up this means that if your base gets rated in the softcore game mode your TC will remain for 48 hours providing building privilege as well and you'll be able to come
here collect 50% of the materials you had inside of it and repair it to fix your base up I highly suggest that you go check out a softcore server to experience this for yourself especially if you've never tried it out before and in particular the new corpse feature face punch has said that this is something they're testing out to see if players like it or if it makes sense to bring over into vanilla from my time messing around with it over on staging I think that would make a lot of sense as it reduces a
lot of gear fear because if you get raided you'll still have the opportunity to at least save your deployables and 50% of your loot as well as your whole base if you repair it within 48 Hours the reclaims that were found at the Bandit camp and The Outpost in softcore have been removed and instead there's a new way that you'll get your loot back when you die and that is is if you die outside of building priv you'll respawn with 50% of your loot another change to this is that it's no longer 50% of a
random selection of items in your inventory if the item has a stack that stack gets split into 50% which means no more losing all of your ammo on respawn the respawn points found at The Outpost in Bandit Camp are still there which is very useful for helping players get back on their feet and travel across the map and another new respawn feature is that if your bag is destroyed it turns into a corpse and allows you to spawn on it one last time and it's also got a little skull on it to let you know
that it's been destroyed and in the softcore mode the TC upkeep for doors has been increased meaning that larger bases with tons of doors will have to pay the cost and finally player-to-player bullet damage has been reduced in the softcore game mode by 25% which will help make fights much more fun and interesting and less of a die instantly as soon as you get seen thing in case you're a server owner who wants to mess around with the softcore game mode and never have before keep in mind that it has a max team size of
four which you can adjust as as well as a few commands that I found from the recent changes and you can find some more information over on the rust Wiki on April 10th the Easter update is coming which brings the egg hunt event and this usually goes for about a week and every year there's a new fancy fabri egg this year it is the Cerulean which has the cargo ship on the inside and plays a very rust themed musical tune these Fab eggs are some of my favorite items in the game also another new item
coming this Easter is the horse costume which is very similar to the chicken in terms of the stats and what it is the squeaky foot Army grows day by day in variance the first High external wallins starting with the Adobe wall and gate have released in the general item store which you can purchase for $10 to help support face punch in continuing to develop rust and it looks like the frontier set is still being worked on and will be released as its own in the future and if you own the abyss pack you're about to
get the new sunken knife which is a skin for the combat knife for free if you own it already and for all the brokies out there who are Balling on a budget face punch hasn't forgotten about you they've partnered up with Discord to give you a free trophy item for connecting Discord to your rust if you've already connected your Discord to rust and you're not getting this trophy all you got to do is disconnect it and reconnect it and you'll find a little tutorial over on the rust blog for how to set that up and
you'll be able to save yourself on some meds by healing with the trophy which gives you 70% Comfort there's quite a few quality of life changes that released this month and the rest of the ones that we haven't covered in previous videos include being able to put honeycomb and Boda bags inside of the refrigerator which now requires electricity to power to prevent your food from spoiling and this will also soon become a feature of the vending machine you can now compost The Beehive nuclei and from my testing I threw three in and got one fertilizer
out so if you've been collecting a bunch of nuclei from beehives while farming wood and don't have anything to do with them because you don't want to set up a bee farm then you can at least throw them in the composter to get rid of them the banner that you can put on the ground is now rotatable by pressing R and the one that you can hang up has had its Deployable range increased so that it's a lot easier to put it on your base the new feature for visualizing your food cooking has been applied
to the hobo barrel and barbecues that you'll find in monuments and if you didn't know there's a little audio cue that lets you know when it's finished so now when you're bored on something like oil rig you can sit and watch your meat cook rugs will now be placeable under deployables making it a hell of a lot easier to get them down a lot of people use these to heal but everybody knows that the be rug is far superior for no particular reason but uh that's a nice rug a new feature visualizing the volumes of
various deployables has been added and this includes the Tesla coil the hbhf sensor the seismic sensor which is 30 m the igniter the flame turret shotgun trap and the auto turret let me know in the comments if your teammates are able to see this when you have an object out for this cuz some of these are very big and I wasn't able to test it for myself and of course this is also added to the sprinkler in the heater which I covered in a previous video so if you don't want to miss out on small
details like that make sure you subscribe the new premium servers in Rust have been a success so far reducing the amount of cheater interactions that the average player has by four times and this number will continue to go down over time as face punch makes adjustments and changes to this feature and it looks like the player feedback on this is very positive and that more premium servers are going to be released to help reduce the Q times on the other ones there's also a ton of changes coming to the workshop for skin creators and I'm
not sure if all of them released yet I saw that a few of them did and it looks like this is going to allow for a lot more creativity with skins as as well as fixing a bunch of old issues that have been going on for a while and as always make sure you go take a look at the full list of new features improvements and fixes for yourself over on the face punch website where you'll find the rust blog this can also be found in game if you haven't noticed yet and now looking forward
we can take a look at some of the new features on the horizon the clouds have been getting reworked for a long time I talked about it a few weeks or months ago and it's finally over on the ox 2 staging Branch under the experimental settings called volumetric clouds and this is what they look like on Ultra and the option is still there if you wanted to not enable this and have the old clouds but first impressions of this it makes the game feel a whole lot more immersive for sure there's some experimentation going on
for wallpapers on ceilings and Floors pretty sure I talked about that like almost a year ago which is cool to see it finally getting picked back up it looks like we'll be getting some wood armor gloves and some skins for them soon and a new Compass has been made which might go along with the naval update so far we can see that there's two new types of water vehicles that are being worked on one of them is either a drone for underwater or probably what the name of it is which is a Rover submarine which
is one of these things imagine if you could equip spear guns on this dude that would make oh my God that'd be crazy and the second new water vehicle is the tler which is one of these things and I mean we've already got a tugboat which is kind of like this unless it's going to be way bigger than a tugboat but in real life trollers are used for fishing so maybe that's a possibility of a feature that these would serve that the tugboat doesn't which the tugboat is something you can build on we're going to
be building an Army in the ocean boys and girls we're going to militarize the Seas jungle jungle jungle jungle jungle but uh that's a nice rug
