You should find a different job because the American people, black, white, Hispanic, Democrat, Republican, independent, want this and it is a failure if we cannot get this over. I That's [applause] fine. If it's a federal Bill Maher brought on a couple of people on to his show, including Representative Anna Paulina Luna that you see on the screen right here and Anna goes on Bill Maher's show here real time with Bill Maher and absolutely wins over his audience and and stuns Bill Maher and this guy right here with the applause that she gets on Bill Maher show.
And if you guys don't know, for some reason, if you've been living under a rock, Bill Maher has obviously historically been pretty left-leaning, historically been pretty woke, pretty liberal, especially through 2020 with all the jab stuff and the summer of love and everything like that. And his audience also obviously leans very woke. So, for her to be able to go on this show and win over this audience, get the applause, get the reaction that she got out of Bill Maher's audience with this topic, it is a pretty big deal.
Let's get into this clip here where Anna Paulina Luna gets a absolutely like roaring applause from Bill Maher's audience leaving Bill Maher stunned. The Senate did a vote on voter ID and it failed. The Democrats voted against it.
There's a lot of games in the Senate and I'm I've been nuking my own party. So, look, we're not perfect. But what I will tell you is this is an 8020 issue just like banning insider trading and the establishment in control is blocking it.
If you cannot do your job in the Senate and get voter ID pass, proof of citizenship, you should find a different job because the American people, black, white, Hispanic, Democrat, Republican, independent, want this, and it is a failure if we cannot get this over. ID that's [applause] if it's a federal and you can see that, you know, at first they're like hesitant to applaud it and then they're like, you know what, like screw it. This this person is just speaking common sense.
You know, it is just common sense at the end of the day. You should have to show your ID to vote. Like I can't even believe that that's even a a statement being made.
But there's a lot of leftwingers out there that will argue against that statement, you know, argue against simply saying, "Hey, I think that you should have to show your identification to be able to vote. " And somehow that's racist and they will genuinely make that argument absolutely wild. Bill Maher also did some torching of the left wing himself, which he has been doing a whole lot more recently.
You know, like I said, historically, he's been very leftleaning, very woke, and his audience is the same. And Bill Maher kind of stuns his audience with some of his own takes. Let's get into this clip here where Bill Maher goes after the left wing.
Uh because obviously he's running for president and Josh Shapiro was running for president. And I mean, Josh Shapiro, he was here last week. He has a really good story to tell about his state.
Now, I like Gavin a lot, but that's a lot harder story to tell. Oh, I I think my party has more talent than I've ever seen. This is part of the tragedy of Joe Biden running is that he had the best bench behind him that I've ever seen and and and Gavin is part of it and and Shapiro's part of it.
Wes Moore, Andy Basher, I'm now I'm naming people. My buddy Rahm Emanuel has been on your show. He's seriously thinking about he's winning the ideas primary.
You have a a favorite among us. I don't Well, Rahm is one of my closest friends. Okay.
So, if he runs, I'm four, period. I mean, he and I Wow. We're like brothers, right?
But but in terms of talent, let's put them We don't know until they're on the track. Let's put them on the track. But I want unlike in 2024, I want a primary and I want it to be vicious.
I want fighting. Steel sharp and steel. So you want mega?
I But I think I certainly don't want MAGA. But when when Hillary rang as Barack, I was a part of that group. I was for Hillary, but I was like, "Oh, this is terrible.
" It wasn't. It wasn't the toughest primary I ever saw in my life was Hillary versus Barack. And it made Barack tougher and stronger and smarter.
It made Hillary Secretary of State, the party united. Yeah. So, I'm now four tough primary.
[applause] You know, my uncle George always says this. Uncle George's law is about these kind of family fights. He's like, you know why God gave his family?
So he wouldn't have to fight with strangers. I can't believe that this guy's getting applauded for saying that he wants a primary. Like that's how things are supposed to work.
You're not supposed to not have a primary. You're not supposed to just be able to name your successor whenever the next election comes around. Like you're supposed to have a primary.
It's not supposed to be, oh, by the way, guys, Kla Harris is going to be the next candidate, and everybody just says, oh, yeah, okay, you know, like little puppies. Like, no, you're supposed to have a primary. It is a big deal, a bigger deal than I think a lot of people make it seem or are, you know, are are acting as if it is.
That Bill Maher is saying things such as, you know, he's saying it so matterof factly that Gavin Newsome will not win the presidency because a lot of leftwingers do believe that Gavin Newsome could win the presidency. And Bill Maher, like I said, is still a leftwinger, is still a liberal, even though he's coming around on certain topics. He is still leftwing.
And I think it's a big deal that he he would say something like Gavin Newsome is just guaranteed to lose the presidential race because there's a lot of leftwingers out there probably in Bill Maher's own audience that disagree with that hardcore. I'm curious to see what you guys think in the comments. Do you think that Gavin Newsome would win the presidency if he ran?
[applause] Okay. Um, I I heard Gavin use this phrase culturally normal. Did you see that?
I know he was asked about I guess how the Democrats can win. And I I think that phrase uh is going to bubble up. He said they have to learn to be more culturally normal.
What do you how do you think that what do you put some meat on those bones? What does that mean? We used to be the party and now we're the party of the faculty lounge.
And I say this, I'm a faculty member at UVA. this elitism, this intellectual elitism on my side is so off-putting and the sanctimony, the judgment mentalism. Uh I I saw Andy Basher recently.
He told me that someone talked to him about and the phrase was justice involved populations. Do you have any idea what that prisoners? Prisoners.
I grew up in a prison town. We did not call them justice. We call them crooks, prisoners, convicts, inmates.
I think um Gavin made a big mistake with his uh reading comment and I just think that you know I actually know Nicki Minaj. She's now as you know very Republican um but I think that she pointed out you know this aspect of politicians make these comments and they're not themselves. What are you referring to?
Tell the mayor he was talking to the mayor of Atlanta. Yeah. I don't want to misquote him but basically the implication was he wasn't you know good at he was trying he was trying to say I'm one of you.
So he basically said you know I'm dyslexic. I don't read very good like you guys. And it just came it just was it's but it's insulting, right?
It's like the it's like it's insulting and it's also a a function of when you're on a book tour running for president, you do a million events a day. Your brain is fried at 8:00 at night and you're trying to like not step on the landmine and you do and I think we all have to show some grace when people do that. I look no one thinks he's really a racist.
I will say I will say no doubt. I mean, Bill Maher speaking facts right there. You know, people people misspeak and also there's some Freudian slips that happen whenever you're tired like that, you know, and and it probably was more of a Freudian slip than it was just like a complete misspeak.
But also, what Gavin Newsome said, and I don't I'm not sure who this I think this is Paul Begala on the left. What Gavin Newsome said about Democrats needing to be more culturally normal. I think that's actually going to work in his favor.
I think he's completely correct in that and you know like he's saying the fact what did they call like criminal or or just justice challenged people instead of calling them prisoners or criminals like no they're just they're just criminals like that's all they are you know like and that's the that's the problem with Democrats is that they're just so pretentious they're so they're so radically inclusive that if you say anything wrong like they'll just take the high road on you and it's just exhausting. Nobody wants to be dealing with that. So any any sort of presidential candidate that is like Kla Harris that is any anything anything like that level of pretentiousness, they're not going to win.
So I I do think Gavin Newsome is hitting the head on the head on the nail on the head right there by saying that. I think that if he goes against that sort of the left-wing culture, it's going to work in his favor. You know, it it 100% will work in his favor because everybody's tired of that.
You know, I would imagine that most left-wingers, you know, that you see what's happening with Bill Maher and how he's not really that that woke anymore, it's because of stuff like that, you know, and the fact that Bill Maher's audience is reacting positively to people like Anna Paulina Luna now going on his show. It shows just how much the left wing is tired of things like that. Say this though, [applause] there have been a number of occasions, um, I actually reached out to him directly on helping out with the Tory Lanes case.
As you know, Tory Lanes is convicted for allegedly shooting Megan the Stallion, right? Allegedly. Um, but there's a lot to that with evidence.
Yeah, there is. This is important. And his office actually was contacted about potentially pardoning.
And what I will say is that, you know, I think that there's a lot of people that had reached out to him, but he's not the only one. Um, there's another case specifically that's pretty high-profile. And I just, you know, that'll come up if he runs.
This rose on your list of like important issues. These are You would be surprised to get into the Megan the Stallion case. There's there's Well, we had someone reach out and this was kind of following the whole issue of, you know, gun law, chain of custody, improper prison, and prison reform.
And so, yeah, it's like kind of one of our things I dabble in. Justice involved populations. Congresswoman, get prison reform, right?
It's like they're not prisoners. Justice involves It's just so like it's so ridiculous, man. Like I don't even you know at a certain point even left-wingers even people like Bill Maher or or at least who Bill Maher used to be and you know Bill Maher's audience people like that who who consume this type of media constantly you eventually just get tired of this stuff man cuz it's like I I just can't keep up anymore.
Like how am I supposed to keep up with all this nonsense? There's no way. What did he call it?
Just I I can't even remember like justice challenged people. He just said it and I I can't remember again, but it's it's just like, oh my god. Like, how radically inclusive can you possibly get before you just get sick of yourself?
Like, how are these people not just sick of hearing themselves talk like this and sick of just living life walking on eggshells, you know? Like, try not to step on any landmine. We have to be as inclusive to every single person that exists as possible.
How about you just act like a normal human? And if you accidentally offend someone, they probably will understand that you're not going out of your way to to offend them by calling them the wrong thing, by calling them a prisoner. Even though they are a prisoner, they probably will not get very offended because guess what?
They are a prisoner. They are in prison. What are we talking about here?
here. Let me know in the comments what you guys think about Anap going on Bill Maher's show and you know stunning him and and getting a roaring applause from his audience on an issue that a couple years ago for sure his audience would not have been applauding whatsoever.
