Mexico is, in every sense, an expression of art, colors and styles as varied as its cuisine, one of the most fascinating artistic expressions that faithfully reflect its diversity and ancient richness that, when combined, shape the essence of its people. You have to explore Mexico and you have to “try it”! The origin of Mexican cuisine dates back to the pre-Hispanic period.
At this time, dishes were created that revolved around three main ingredients: corn, beans and chili. The usual supplements were aromatic herbs, cocoa, some birds and fish, among others. The miscegenation between cultures gave a different direction to ancestral recipes, providing ingredients and flavors unknown in the region.
To find some of the dishes that are now recognized worldwide, as intangible heritage of humanity. And some others that, due to their uses and customs, have become the favorites of each region.
