Then he would program it in. This is what I do. And then execute [music] it and then knock the guy out.
But that's what they say, but it's not always the case. Terrence Crawford and Max Kellerman analyze the upcoming showdown between Errol Spence and Tim Zoo. A clash like this brings together styles, pressure, and championship level experience that could define careers.
[music] He do a lot that that impressed me. Terrence said that the Errol Spence versus Timoo matchup is not just hype, but a real test for both fighters. According to him, success in the ring doesn't come from power or reputation alone, but from timing and smart decision-making.
In this context, he highlighted Tim Zoo as a serious and dangerous challenge for Spence. The great little mans that moved up in and wait, they beat the great big man. Max Kellerman said that Errol Spence versus Tim Zoo is a fascinating matchup because it brings together Spence's proven elite level experience against Zoo's relentless pressure and confidence.
He pointed out that while Spence has fought and beaten top competition for years, Zoo represents a new kind of threat with his aggressive style and momentum. This is going to be the most watched fight. Terren Crawford expressed confidence in Errol Spence's return, saying he believes Spence will do very well in his comeback fight against Tim Zoo.
He said he's looking forward to seeing Spence back in the ring and expects him to be successful, even going as far as picking Spence to win the fight. Errol Spence is returning against Tim Zoo. Just wanted your thoughts on on the return of Errol.
I think Eric gonna do an amazing job. I'm looking forward to him uh getting back in the ring and I think, you know, he's gonna be successful in his comeback. Ryan Garcia also weighed in on the highly anticipated Errol Spence versus Tim Zoo matchup.
While many are focused on Spence's return after a long layoff, Garcia believes the fight will reveal whether the former champion can still perform at the elite level. He sees it as a major test for both men with plenty at stake once the opening bell rings. Another story line there.
I mean, to me, that's a fun [music] fight. When I heard those two names together, I mean, that's like a lot of beef. A lot of beef there.
Errol Spencer will be going to 154 for that fight if it happens. Either way, he's going to go up when he comes back. [music] And you're talking about two guys that are going to have basically what, two and a half year layoffs.
Yeah, it is an intriguing like boxing. I boxing is better when Errol Spence is out there. Max believes the matchup raises important questions about where Spence stands at this stage of his career and whether Zoo is ready to capitalize on the opportunity.
For Kellerman, it's the kind of fight that could reshape the conversation around both fighters moving forward. When a guy has those advantages in boxing skill and speed and they don't take risks, they are almost impossible to beat where and the style to me. But but it does he rise to that level cuz it's not enough just to have that.
It has to be executed an extremely high level. Do you guys feel like he has that look to you? Well, it showed against him.
And Terrence Crawford is confident that Errol Spence will come out victorious against Tim Zoo. He believes Spence still has the skills, experience, and ring IQ needed to handle a tough challenge like Zoo. Do you think he Well, you've said you don't think he beats Errol Spence.
Yeah, I don't think I think Spence beat him at this point uh in both of their career. I think Spence beat him. You know, I'm not the one to to say, you know, what he can and what he can't do.
Me and my boy Tazzy had a little uh wager on if him and Spence fought each other uh who will win and I had to back Spence because that's what I believe in. But you know I'm not the one fighting. So at the end of the day I'm not the one that controls who win or lose.
What could you tell Tim or what could you tell him about a Spence fight if he was a future opponent? What's I didn't tell him nothing. I just tell him good luck, train hard and go in there and fight.
Would you say taking the Errol Spence fight it wouldn't be the best decision for his future because that would arguably mean I think that's a good fight for both of them in the in right now in their careers, you know. Uh I think that's a great fight for both of them because it's it's winnable for both of them. Yeah.
Crawford said he's looking forward to seeing Spence back in action and expects him to have a successful comeback performance. And why are you confident that you win that bet with Tazzy? Why arrow in the fight?
Well, I'm not, you know, 100% confident, you know. I just know, you know, the caliber of fighter that Arrow is, you know, just like I know the caliber fighter of Tim, you know, I think both of them have tooken a lot of uh damage in their career so far. But I just think, you know, uh, you know, arrow skillwise, I just wish him well.
You know, I wish him well. much respect with him in his career and uh I'll be looking forward to seeing what he do in his future. Tim Zoo welcomed the challenge of facing Errol Spence, saying he's eager to finally get in the ring with him.
He pointed to Spence's long layoff as something he intends to test, suggesting that 3 years away from competition could be difficult to overcome against a dangerous opponent. Even in this camp, I was I was sort of sparring southpaws as well. Like as much as I respected Nura and what he was going to bring, like I still needed to it was still coming into my head that I was fighting a southpaw, you know, so it was distracting.
Uh but I I did try and block it out. I did the best I possibly could. Zoo also warned that Spence is in for a tough fight, emphasizing that his aggressive style creates problems for everyone he faces.
I can't wait to get it on with him honestly. Um he hasn't fought in a long time and I I do want to expose that, you know. What did he say?
Yeah. He said you think sweet um do you so bad? Oh man, he's got no idea.
He's got no idea. He's going to be in in for a hard hard fight, you know, because a stall like me, it's it it always presents challenges to a lot of people. M he's only ever fought at 147 Spence.
Um coming up to that extra weight. Um what should he expect in the ring with Timoo? Yeah, just harder punches.
Um different gloves. It was an 8 oz. It's not 8 oz gloves anymore.
It's back. [music] It's up to 10 oz. And uh just a different feeling, you know, coming off a threeyear layoff.
I'm a bad bad guy to choose off the first go. While he acknowledged Spence's elite pedigree and Terence Crawford's technical brilliance, Zoo believes their matchup will be a much more entertaining fan-friendly battle and is confident that the right tactics can lead him to victory at one point as well. Yeah, he also lost money from me as well.
So, it's just typical men. [laughter] Obviously, he's only ever lost to Crawford, one of one of best ever. But, you know, watching that fight between Spence and Crawford, what what do you see in that fight that that you can exploit?
[music] You know what? Um, well, look, stylistically, it's a two different fighters. Crawford's uh technical genius, you know.
So, um, it's it's it's hard to compare what me and what me and Crawford like against Spence would do, but it'd be just a I think me and Spence would be more of an entertaining fight, you know, like [music] we've both got that style that's pleasing for for the for the crowd to watch. So, yeah, it' [music] be a a cracking a cracking matchup. Stylistically, I feel like uh it's a a real crowdleaser.
So, um, yeah, I just got to bring a few good tactics in into this fight and and, uh, it will be it'll be good. Tim Zoo has expressed strong confidence heading into the fight, believing this is his opportunity to beat Errol Spence. He feels he can take advantage of Spence's current form, and any possible ring rust after a long layoff.
Zoo is convinced that his pressure, timing, and clean punching will be too much for Spence as the fight goes on. I've always been a guy that chases the toughest and baddest challenges out there. And when I got presented with with Errol, who's undeniably one of one of the best fighters of this decade, I didn't hesitate and I straight away accepted.
Um, I accepted not to compete, but I accepted because I knew that I'm going [music] to the victory is only on my mind. I know the t the challenge that is put in front of me, but I'm going to work super hard and I'm coming for it all. I'm coming for it all and thank you again.
Victory [music] is uh is mine. Errol Spence believes he is entering this fight as a more mature and mentally stronger version of himself, which he sees as a key advantage against Tim Zoo. He feels the setbacks and challenges of recent years have helped him become calmer, more focused, and fully locked in during camp.
Spence also suggests that this mental clarity has improved his training and discipline, potentially leading to a more dangerous and controlled performance in the ring. But I guarantee you come July 26, you will see a better, more improved Eeros Spence. Um, it's is it was it was some time I had I had three years off and I feel like it helped me mentally, it helped me uh physically, gave me some time to recover.
And um just enjoy life. Enjoy life. Enjoy the spoils of of my of my wins and um just being with family, being with friends.
Um if you watch my Instagram, you see me traveling, you know, enjoying my kids, having fun. And um people kept asking me, "Are you coming back? When are you coming back?
" And I told my I know when it's ready. I know when I'm ready to come back. And um I knew one day that you know I wake up and I decide to come back and and if it didn't happen then I wouldn't come back to boxing.
So um I'm happy to be back. Um I'm having to to put on a great show. I can't wait for July 26 to be fighting in Australia to be fighting in front of his fans.
I look I look forward to disappointing them, putting on a great show, putting on another great performance, and showing y'all why they nicknamed me the truth. Tim Zoo also made a subtle dig at Errol Spence's long layoff, suggesting that after so much time away from the ring, Spence might have benefited from a softer return instead of a high-risk fight like this. Although brief, the comment came across as a confident warning with Zoo implying that Spence could find it difficult to handle his pressure and pace after such a long break from boxing.
Yeah, it's definitely not recommended, you know, um to go straight into the fireing line. Um it would have been better to start off slowly, but you know, on his caliber, he feels like he doesn't need tuneups, which is fair enough. Um but yeah, it's it's it's going to be fireworks from from the opening bell.
Chris Aljerry believes there are still significant doubts about both fighters, which makes this matchup much more unpredictable than it appears on the surface. Two guys who are very high contact fighters in terms of their styles. Tim comes right at you stand he's really in front of you like he's shown his last couple fights and Errol's a terminator.
He comes forward and and and rips with both hands as a combination puncher. Um I think he's actually going to feel better at 54, not whittling himself down to 147. So, all in all, I I I do like this fight because both guys have enough question marks that you really don't know exactly what's going to happen on fight night.
Tim Zoo and Errol Spence or Errol Spence and Tim Zoo, depending on how you how you want to bill it, probably go Errol Spence first. [music] Um, but it's uh I actually like the fight. It's a fight where I think there's a lot of question marks for both guys.
And if Arrow was coming in going right into a fight with like a Virgil Ortiz or someone who was streaking at One Fidor or like a Sebastian Fondoa for example, coming off the layoff, I would be a little more apprehensive than I am with this cuz Tim Zoo is a guy who his life has been turned upside down. his boxing life has been turned upside down the last couple years from going from a budding superstar champion um looking to to make a real name for himself in the states to taking two really bad stoppage losses um to looking [music] less than stellar in some of his comeback fights to a guy who's been switching training camps you know losing touch with family members there's a lot going on brewing under the service of Tim Zoo at this moment and with Errol he's just a big question mark the guy hasn't been in the ring in almost three years. His last fight was a a a really bad loss to Errol Spence.
There was questions about his health in terms of the the beating he took from from Crawford, but also the the the [music] car accidents that he had many years ago in which he doesn't seem like he's necessarily the same guy anymore. Bernie said that Errol Spence versus Tim Zoo is a good comeback fight for Spence, especially given his long layoff and recent setback. [music] He noted that Zoo is still a well-known name, even though his form has been inconsistent and he's taken some tough losses in recent fights.
While not fully convinced about Zoo's current level, Bernie still sees him as a respectable and name value opponent who makes sense for Spence's return, adding that fans mainly want to see Spence back in the ring. Good opponent for him. You know, Tim Zoo has obviously, [music] you know, lost some steam.
Um, but he still has a good name and um, you know, really mostly about his name. I don't know about his ability at this point, but you know, with a guy like Earl Spence that's uh come off such a dramatic defeat and um couple years lay off almost three years, it'll be uh wow, time flies, [music] you know. Uh I think it's a good opponent.
I like to see the kid back. Like I said, he took a lot awful lot of punishment in those fights, [music] you know. He took a lot awful lot of punishment in those fights.
And um I guess I just keep him winning. You know, I don't know if he gonna fight again. Is he going to fight one more time before Spence or what?
Yes, he is actually. He's actually having another tuneup in between. Good.
Oh, well then it's great. It's good. It's good.
You know, fight this year, too. Good. You know, he's he at least uh like I say, Spence is fighting you know, he fought three three times last year.
Yeah. Uh Tim Zoo, he he got a win over uh um Joey Spencer after the Bram loss. Yeah.
[music] And then, you know, he got Fondura. He got stopped in the seventh. And then he fights Anthony [music] uh Velz Vasquez.
So last year he lost to back and he got two wins. He didn't lose to 2024 he lost to Bakro. Tim Zoo is a is a decent fighter.
He's he's a decent fighter. Yeah, he's decent. Now um [music] so Spence when this fight comes into June, it'll be obviously three years and he's also going to Australia for the fight.
So, what do you think? Do you What do you think about the layoff and then the the beating that he took with Spence, I mean, uh, Crawford, you know, leading into that that three-year period. Yeah.
You know what I mean? And then also needing to go into Australia, which is Timoo's hometown. Well, uh, I think the rest was much needed.
[music] You know, I got I'm sure he had a lot to, you know, to, um, talk about with the victory, like get over things mentally about that. And he probably had other stuff that was going on too though, you [music] know, so he just probably handled it all, got it all out the way. Probably had stuff he was dealing with, whatever that was leading up to the fight.
But when that happened, you know, his kind of momentum kind of stopped, so he probably had a chance to re re-evaluate himself. Brian Norman issued a strong warning ahead of Errol Spence's return, backing him to come back sharper, more dangerous, and fully focused against Tim Zoo. He even predicted a possible early knockout, suggesting Zoo could be stopped if Spence returns in peak physical and mental condition.
We definitely going to see a different version of Errol Spence. And I feel like he has going to be better than he was in the past. And what I mean by that is first round knockout coming soon.
And 10 is going to sleep, man. The boy ain't got nothing for him. But dude from Australia, [laughter] my boy, he coming to Australia just to give him the work.
You feel me? But back to what I was saying, I just feel like Errol Spence, you know, he's going to be a great fighter doing the thing I see in camp and um hell of a fighter. Ronnie Shields believes Errol Spence still has the skills to prove himself again in the boxing world, especially now that he seems mentally sharp and fully dedicated in training camp.
He has been training closely with Spence through pad work and preparation for the Tim Zoo fight, helping him fine-tune his timing, pressure, and overall control in the ring. a good fighter, former world champion, and we we know if we have a work cut out for us, we just know that is going to be in the best shape that he can possibly get in. And with the experience and everything that he's been through in his life as a fighter, we feel comfortable in going to Australia to get this thing done.
And the fans are really going to be the winners of this. So look forward to it. Errol Spence also shared that taking time away helped him build better structure in his life and adopt a more disciplined mindset toward training and preparation.
Locking in to a more, you know, discipline lifestyle to where, you know, [clears throat] I'm always around my family, you know. um just finding different hobbies that I like other than other than boxing and um realizing that I'm okay without boxing and um just being 100% there for my family and just enjoying life outside of boxing. Just getting time to recover too.
Just getting time to recover mentally, recover physically and just um and just enjoying life, man. Enjoying life. Enjoying the moment.
living in the moment and not just thinking about what's next all the time. I feel like that's a bad habit that I had out of myself. Like even after winning my first world title, like I never I never stepped in the moment.
I always was thinking about what's next or who I'm going to fight next or what I'm going to do next. But during this time off, I was just more in the moment, more getting more clarity, spending more time with my family and just the main thing. Just enjoying life and just living in the moment and being present.
Being present is the is is the biggest thing of all. Just being present with my kids, being present, you know, with with my girl, being present, my fiance, being present with my mother, father, and everybody. Meanwhile, other voices in the boxing world are also picking sides and sharing their opinions on how the fight will play out.
So happy having Earl Spence back. He's already done so much in this game, uh, being a unified welterweight champion, the WBC, WBA, and IBF world champion. So, it's great having him back.
He's [music] got big wins over some great names like Sean Porter, uh, uh, Kell Brookke, Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Gordon Uggis. Um, you know, so it's it's just great having him back. I'm personally very happy and I think that, uh, it's going to be a big night for him, big night for us.
And Tim Zoo always turns up to fight. He's shown here on on many occasions um what it actually means to jump in the ring. He's a warrior and and I know that he wants to get back to the top and the only way to get back to the top is to beat Errol Spence and that's what we're going to see.
We're going to see a great fight. Errol Spence being a warrior, you know, he came back and gave us three fights. Let me know who you think wins this fight in the comments.
