When I was 14, I got shot by my dad. If God says, "I'm dead, I am dead to my sins." Galatians [music] 2:20 says the same thing. It's not God who brings up your past, right? Because God in Romans 8:1 says, "There is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." What I struggle with is why would God make someone gay? Lukeorn means you're serving two masters. is trusting your thoughts and also trusting the word of God. You're not hot, you're not cold, you're in the middle of hot and cold, which is warm,
right? That's serving to masters because Isaiah 55:8 says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither is my way your way." That's why you have to take every thought and bring it to the obedience of Christ, which means the word of God. So, if you want to stop living lukewarm today, let me give you some actionable steps. Step one, distrust your thoughts and get into the word of God. Number two, declare out your new identity. I am a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17. [music] Get thee behind me, Satan. I will not listen to your lukewarm thoughts
anymore. [music] And even if you fall, pray to God about it. Father God, I'm Believing my thoughts. Lord, please help me. If you don't help me, God, I cannot follow you. Yes, I cannot overcome my addiction. Yes, I cannot overcome my lust and my lukewarmness. However, God, you [music] can. You're a living God, the most powerful, the almighty. I believe in you and help me with my unbelief if that's the case. And as you believe this, you can apply this into your life and you will stop living lukewarm 100%. I have a question about your
family. If you were known to be a detriment to your family, if you were known to be the black sheep, everybody else was doing fine and dandy, and now you changed your life. Now you preaching the spirit, you you giving the word, you changing people's lives. How do you deal with your family not believing that [music] you've changed? What I always tell people is in our previous life, we disrespected people and we can't ever tell somebody how to feel disrespected. You get what I'm saying? So, they're going to feel some type of way and we
have to acknowledge that the way that I was able cuz I disrespected my mom. I disrespected my brother, my cousins, and all that. And when I changed in the beginning, they're like, "Man, this is BS." Like, we know Johnny, he's not he's just he's on drugs or something. You know, he's talking about Jesus and all that. [music] But as they see me change, they start to see the peace inside of my heart. They start to [music] gravitate towards me. So, don't ever try to change people. what they say about you is biblical [music] because we
did do those things, you Know, but as we're changed now, people are all on a different timing. [music] We really got to trust God's timing. Like if God didn't give them the heart and the grace to see [music] you for who you are, that's okay because it's not going to stay like that. What I tell people is don't put a period where God put a comma. You get what I'm saying? Like a lot of people are like, "Oh, they're judging me. That's it for them." Not [music] necessarily. My mom was telling me when I was
still carrying a gun and selling bricks and stuff like that. She was like, "You're going to be a gospel preacher." I was like, "Mom, you got schizophrenia [music] because you don't know what I'm doing right now." But what's happening now, I'm preaching in prisons. I'm all over the world going to Australia and all that. You know, it's beautiful. So, don't put a period where God puts a comma. [music] Like, just wait on it. It's okay. Cuz patience is faith and faith is patience, too. As you wait on these people and you have faith, God will
bring them to you, bro. [music] My dad received salvation. Alcoholic dad stopped drinking. My brother also in my neighborhood received salvation. [music] So, they will see. Just keep on the path. I guarantee you. But I'm living proof of that. Amen. So, if you're dating as a Christian, here are five steps to keep Jesus first in your relationship. Step one is don't skip daily scripture. Stay grounded in spending time with God daily. Read the scripture together. Read it separately. Step two is pray together and apart. Don't do one or the other. Try to do both. And
then this allows God to be invited into your conversation. You guys can obviously overcome a lot of things through prayer and supplication as it says in the Bible. Step three is keep the Bible as the standard. So not just reading the Bible and also you know meditating on the Bible but making it the standard. God's word has to determine [music] all boundaries. God's word has to determine the decisions you make. It has to be the center of your relationship. Step four is check your heart posture regularly. And what I mean by that is think and
ask yourself, right, if this ended today, this relationship, will I still be grounded in Christ? So that allows us to then not pull away from God and not make idols of each other because the whole point is to keep God at the center and keep Jesus first. The last and final step, step five [music] is seek spiritual counsel. So, come together in communion with the [music] pastor, confessing to him, having fellowship with him, and seeking counsel. Cuz there's times where things are just not going to come together, not going to click, not going to flow.
There's going to be peaks and valleys in your relationships. And that's when you need spiritual counseling uh through the pastor to be able to help you through all those things. What happens though if I don't keep God at the center of my relationship? Like I I go to church and I stay centered and then but my relationship is super happy, Right? We're in love. We're taking trips. We're always infatuated with each other. The spark is there, but God is not at the center of it just inherently. We're busy. Whatever it is, like what what's going
to happen? I mean, nothing really. I mean, it's just I think but if you're happy where you're at, by all means, you know, this is for people who genuinely want to keep God at the center to serve him, right? instead of transactionally like, hey, like I'm gonna do this in order to be happy. If you're going to do that, don't keep God at the center, right? Because it's like you're still transactionally [music] trying to just do it for happiness. Rather, you should do it because you want to do it, not because oh, there's a I'm
I'm going to get this then. It's almost like tithing. Oh, I'm going to tithe. So then it's like vending machine God, right? Like I'm tithing. Quit pro crow. I did this. You do this for me. I kept you at the center. You give me peace and happiness. It's like no, you should want to do those things. But like time to time, you guys do see [music] this. Although there start off really happy without God as the center, it always ends up being like bad or it can end up like not as happy as it should
be. Transactional. Yeah. Transactional or like, you know, resentment builds and there's not something to anchor us through that resentment. It's like everything was good. You hear it a million times over. Everything was so good in the beginning. I don't know what happened. And it's like [music] that happens all the time because God is not anchored in the relationship. He's not the centerpiece. Why don't you ever debate people? There's so many people that make videos about you, bro, and you literally run from them. It's not that I'm running from them. That's a good question. Actually, I
don't debate because the Bible says to do so. The Bible literally says in in Romans, it says in 2 Timothy chapter 2:16, verse 23-2 as well, you don't have to debate people. You mark them and you actually avoid foolish and unlearned questions. It says, so when people are asking like or making videos of me, think about it. Think about it. Right? They've made a judgment on you already. What am I supposed to do? Change their hearts? I can't change your mind, right, guys? Like if somebody's already, you ever been around people who sit there and
they're like just making [music] preconceived like like these assumptions about you? It's like, bro, you already assumed. Like, what am I going to say to you? You already have your mind made up about me. Oh, Johnny's a gang member. He has tattoos and he's not really changed. Nice statement. I There is no dialogue there. I can't talk to you, so I'm not going to. This guy is a gang member. He shouldn't be preaching. He has tattoos. I don't care if he got them before. I'm not even open to that. I'm just going to assume you
got them now. And they just mock you and add homonym, you know, and and attack your character. What am I supposed to like say to that? So, I can't I can't I say what I say and That's it. It doesn't matter what Bible versions. None of that really matters. What matters [music] is are you trying to condemn people or are you trying to convict them into heaven? It's up to you. You can keep spamming, but it's not going to do anything. Because I will not show grace to a person like that when they already have
their heart posture fixed on it. People love like, you know how people like when people fight. They love debates cuz it's kind of like fighting as well. They want to be like, "Oh, let me judge this and let me judge [music] this." But let me ask you guys something. Who's the judge? I think God is the judge. Amen, brother. How do you share the gospel to kids and make it more interesting to them? Ooh, that's a good one. I'm an uncle at the church and I share the gospel a lot with all age ranges. We
have kids who follow me from 7 years old to 10 years old, right? And even teenagers. So, how do we share the gospel? Well, first and foremost, you have to get out of the mindset that you need them to understand. So, the Bible and the gospel is not something you understand, it's something you accept. So your job as a parent and as a servant in general whether it's a kid or old man or old lady is to sew the seed meaning to drop the message. So all you have to say right is [music] hey you
know there's a man named Jesus. He died for our sins and through that he made us righteous. [music] You know that Jesus he made mommy and daddy. He made me he made you. He made us all and he loves Us. You know, as much as dad or mom loves you, God loves you more. Do you know what he came down to do? And I'll use this. You guys can steal this from me. Okay? Think of a time when your kids messed up and you took the blame for it. So for me, it would be something
like this. Watch. Remember when you, let's say your kid, and this could apply for you guys. Let's say your kid played baseball outside. Boom. Hit a baseball and it cracked one of your neighbors windows. It broke one of your neighbors windows, right? And then you had to pay for it. [music] So I would explain to the kid, right? Wait, son or daughter, you hit the baseball, right? And they'll be like, yes. Why did dad or mom have to pay for it? Make them think, huh? So you broke it. Remember, you got in trouble. Yes, but
I paid for it. Why? You did a no. No. You messed up, but then daddy or mommy has to pay for it. And they're like, "Yes, yes. Why?" And then you explain it to them. Um, make sense? Because I'm I'm your parent, right? I'm your mom. I'm your dad. I'm your parent. Okay? Same thing. You have a real parent. You're going to break windows when you grow older. You're going to mess up. [clears throat] You may even lie. We call that son sin. I'm like, "Okay." So sin is when you mess up, Right? Yes. because
you mess up because you're born that way too. Okay? Then you explain that to them. And then you say, "But Jesus, this man, he died for all of that. So you messed up. Then Jesus will take care of it [music] just like you messed up, right? And I paid for you for breaking the window. You will mess up in life called sin, but Jesus will pay for that, too. So are you just going to go, "Yeah, my daddy has money. Break a window. Break a window. Break a window." They usually start laughing. No. Right? You
will think about daddy's heart. Right? Yes. [music] Yes. So when you go out there in the world, you will think, "What does my dad want? My real dad, Jesus. Oh, I shouldn't do this. I shouldn't lie. I shouldn't steal. I shouldn't cheat. I shouldn't hurt people." Understand? Yes. Yes. Promise me. Promise. Okay. Boom. As you lean this into the children from a young age, you are now teaching from a foundational level how to think about God above themselves. And that is distrusting their thoughts from the very core. Balabra. Okay. So my question is for like
people who like struggle to like pay attention for a long period of time or like struggle reading. So my question is would we get the same benefit of like hearing someone read the Bible or like us reading the Bible ourselves? [music] like if you struggle like you know to read or like pay attention for a long period of time. Yeah. Yeah. So I actually have a a better thing than reading the Bible. Right. So what helped me read the Bible front to back 24 times [music] is you two things. Step one is to read without
trying to understand. [music] Just read. Right? And as you read you'll just keep going and God will pour into you. Right? Don't try to understand this. Don't try to [music] tie correlating verses. Right? Because what happens is when you have the mind to try to understand things, you'll start [music] jumping into different rabbit holes. So you'll see this and then you'll jump off and Google this and then next thing you're on this guy's sermon and you're out of your Bible. You're on the internet. You get what I'm saying? So that's number one. Step two is
read without expectations. Bible in a year. Not good, right? Because you'll go hard for two weeks. Oh my gosh, I did 40 chapters. 40 chapters. 40 chapters. And then week two comes by, you're like, "Oh man, I'm tired." And you start to backslide. And then you'll be like, "What's wrong with me?" And then [music] Satan sets that expectation to be like, "Yeah, you got to read your Bible." And then when you mess up, you then condemn yourself. You close the book. You're just in your feelings. You're not in your word. Right? [music] So the third
thing is read until you're sleepy. Whether it's 10 verses, 100 verses, 100 chapters, as soon as you start doing this, that means close the book. Okay? Because there's no point in trying to force it, right? God wants you to open the book and he [music] will give you what he needs to give you. But Again, expectations always lead to, you know, this failure and this misery. [music] And so, don't try to read to understand. Don't be like, I'm going to finish the Bible. No, I'm going to read. And that's how a gang member like me
with a GED education was able to read King James version, Coney Greek, and Hebrew Aramaic all the way through many, many times. Right? So, it's not hard, but we we [music] make it complicated because we're under this preconceived notion that we need to understand before I move on, I'm going to read. You know, it's like, no, you don't have to do that. Just [music] read. And God will give you so much depth, so much wisdom, so much peace, and so much insight. And you'll notice, you'll go from Genesis to Revelation 1 2 3 4. And
it's pretty mind-blowing, [snorts] actually. And then you'll really start to catch it. Yeah. Amen. Thank you. For sure. If this is water and we taste it, it literally tastes like water. But Jesus comes down today and goes, "Johnny, that is not Evian. This is wine." Are you going to sit there and go, "Well, sorry, but where's the red? Sorry, Jesus. I No, I'm sorry. There's no red here." Like, put it up to your face like this. Are you going to do that? Sorry. Where's the wine? It doesn't I know what wine is. I'm a wine
somalier. This is Evian. Jesus. This is Evian. Jesus, what are you saying? You don't know anything. Heretic, are you going to do that? When Jesus calls something, it is. Even if you see it as water, taste it as water in the wedding at Canaa, [music] it turns into the best tasting wine. Now, let me ask you something. Jesus says you're perfect forever. Hebrews 10:14. Can he lie? Even though you see yourself as sinner, you feel like a sinner, you think like a sinner, you have sinful actions, but Jesus says you're perfect. So, who's right? Amen,
Marcela. So, let's think about that for a second. It's so simple. Jesus cannot say that you are righteous and perfect if you're not. That would make him a liar. But he said you're righteous. [music] He cannot say it's wine if it's not really wine. But in order to see the miracle of being transformed, the servants had to believe that it was wine first. Likewise, you must believe that you're perfected first and then you see the miracle. And Mendes, are you guys righteous and perfected forever? Or are you guys still I'm a sinner. Forgive me. Which
one is it? You going to trust God today? You going to be like, "Ah, I'm a sinner. I feel so bad. I feel and I think in my opinion and me and me and me and me and I and me and me and my I mean me." That's the answer, guys. Here. Amen. You're both. You're righteous and you're perfected. Now, let me ask you guys something. Let me finish with this. Where do righteous people go? Cuz I [music] got to go. Where do saints go? Where do perfect people go? They go to a place called
heaven. Now, where do sinners go? Ah, sinner. I'm a sinner. I'm a sinner. I'm a sinner. Where do sinners go? Shol Addz. Hell. You want to go with Lucy? Lucifer. You want to be there with him? Wow, this is very hot here. That's a great house you got here, Lucy. You want to be like that? Wow. Can you turn down the temperature, Lucy? He's like, "My name is not Lucy, it's Satan." Okay, Satan, real quick, can you turn this out? Man, bro, it's hot, bro. Bloodies is hot on a dead up on the Muertos Amigos.
My brother went to prison. What? 110 lbs. 110 lbs. What? What? My brother's 110 lb. He went to prison. How tall were you at the time? I weighed more than him. I I was uh 55 110 lbs. I'm 17 years old, man. That's insane. That's insane. So So all this time in the story, too, you're you're fighting in the projects, though. And you're tiny. Yeah, I'm tiny. I I I tell you right now, I lost a lot. [laughter] I ate a lot of punches, man. And they did not taste It was not tasteful. [laughter] Wait.
So then in prison, like what? Like you just started like eating five times a day, just working out. Like when did you pack on the size? Yeah. So, uh, very good question. I, um, I remember this guy named Wolf, man. This, uh, hey, badass name, man. Shout out to Wolf, man. Hey, he was a great guy, man. Honestly, and he was he was just this big Mexican salsire, Just big, man. But, you know, he had love for me. I don't know why. Maybe he saw like he reminded he he probably uh I probably reminded him
of himself, I guess. I don't know. But he was like uh I remember they used to talk smack to me, you know, like, man, chopsticks. [clears throat] They call me chopsticks. Not only is it racist, but it was offensive because I was very skinny, you know, and I remember I would get line up to do the pull-ups. You know, there's a line you have to wait at the whip how power you line to pull-ups. Line for everything basically. Okay, it's overpop populated. So, I remember they would clown me like, "Man, you ain't never going to
get big, man. Man, you chopsticks, man." But, uh, that guy Wolf was like, "Hey, bro, don't listen to anything they got to say. I'll tell you right now, I was just like you when I first came in." Dang. I did 15 years and he's monster, bro. like big, you know. So, uh there was some really cool cats and individuals in there that actually, you know, motivate me to get into, you know, working [music] out, you know, staying healthy and, uh, you know, being about physical fitness. If we can't trust our heart and thoughts, how do
we know if a relationship comes from God? By the word. So, don't go out searching for men. Focus on the word of God so that he can bring the right man to you. See, Adam wasn't looking for Eve. God brought it. Isaac wasn't looking for Rebecca. God brought it. So, the true biblical wisdom is you tried to find men and women by yourself. How did that work out? Your first love, the person you gave your body to, the person you gave your time to. How did that work Out? Nine times out of 10, it wasn't
[music] the same person you're with. Why? Because you chose. Now, let's not choose anymore. Let's let God choose. Amen. So, that's what it comes down to. I've done the same. We all fall victim to that, guys. All of us. There's a lot of biblical wisdom that people have to understand as you read the Bible. It's not, oh, do I look for this characteristics? No, we all fall short. And being single in a season of solitude, it's beautiful for you to work on your relationship with God. Because that is the relationship that bleeds [music] into all
other relationships. If you can't learn to love God and bend for God and sacrifice and surrender to God who's worthy of sacrifice, worthy of our surrender, worthy of our love, worthy of our loyalty, then how would you then treat a man correctly or a woman correctly if they're not even deserving and they have blemishes and shortcomings and lackings? So that's what it means. Uh first and foremost, I want you guys to understand there's two types of repentance in the Bible and it's biblical. It talks about true repentance and false repentance. Uh or what we call
dead works repentance. It's found in Hebrews 6 verse 1 verse4 6. True repentance again you guys have heard me talk about sotia. You've you've heard me talk about Coney Greek, right? Uh and [music] everything that we're speaking about. Why I keep saying Coney Greek is because the New Testament is written in that language and repentance is mostly found in the New Testament. So we need to go to the actual lexicon, the actual word to find its real meaning. Metaninoa, some of you guys have heard this means repentance literally in the Bible in Coney Greek. It's
comprised of two words put together. Meta, which is to transcend [music] or to go above and beyond or to change. Noa means your mind. Now most people when they think of mind they think of thoughts. Not so because the brain and the heart where they connect and intersect is called the mind. So even God says why do you think in your hearts in [music] the Bible right our hearts can feel they can think all kinds of stuff. So basically it's this repentance biblically speaking is to transcend to go above and beyond your thoughts your feelings
yourself essentially and return back to the word of God and align with the word of [music] God. That is what true repentance is. Right? So dead works repentance is behavioral change but no surrender of the thoughts and the mind and the heart basically. Oh, I'm just going to do this because God says so. I don't actually agree with it, but I think this is what's going to make me a good Christian. So, it's not begging for forgiveness. It's not crying. Understand what I'm saying? It's acknowledging, okay, there's sin and I've trusted that my sin is
now washed. That is true biblical repentance, not I [music] trust in my works. Okay, I'm going to follow my works now. I'm going to try and wash it myself by confession, by prayer, by changing my behavior. [music] No, you must turn away from the thought that I can save myself and I can do anything for myself and trust the word of God. So, I I'll show you guys repentance in action uh through the Bible and the biblical stories. There's a first uh there's a story called the wedding at Canaa and it's the first miracle that
Jesus ever performed. He turns water into wine. Very famous story. Most people know this. Some of you guys are utilize it to be able to drink wine. Okay? And uh but that's not what the main gist of that story is. When Jesus challenges the servants, right, to fill six water pots and then to draw out the water and serve and give it to the governor of the feast who's asking for wine, two things must happen. Number one, obviously they must obey. But before they obey Jesus, what must happen? They look at it, it's water. They
touch it, it's water. They fill it in six water pots to everything from their experience to mechanistically to whatever. It's all water. But what must they do? They must [music] metaninoia. They must deny what they see, think, and feel, transcend, and listen to the word of Jesus that it's wine in order to follow him. Because they're not just going to blindly follow. They sat there and they had to throw their thoughts away, throw their feelings away, throw their emotions away, throw their experiences, their perspective, literally what they saw away because it doesn't make sense. Their
logic had to go out the window and their faith had to enter. Right? So in the same stroke, when you look at Hebrews 10:14, you are to [music] apply That. Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one offering we [music] we are perfected forever them that are sanctified." Right? For by one offer he has perfected forever them that are sanctified. So when you look at yourself, you don't think you're perfect and you definitely don't think you're sanctified. You feel like a sinner. You act like a sinner. You have sinful thoughts, sinful, you know, lust. You have all
this these blemishes that you have. [music] But God is saying, "No, you're righteous. You're sanctified. You're perfected past tense forever eternally." So what must you do? You must deny, repent from your thoughts that tell you and make more sense but [music] is not surrendered. And you must surrender to the word word of God which says you're perfect even though it doesn't make sense to you. That is where he was teaching the servants how to practice metaninoia true repentance. It's not just to show and wow people. Look, I'm Jesus. There's a deeper rooted meaning of true
repentance versus dead works repentance. My question is like more towards you. Like I want to know like when when did you get into part in your life where you had that moment to where like you just knew the Holy Spirit was trying to grab you and you know what I'm saying from everything you were doing? Like how did you know and how like how did you know that you was literally experiencing it? Uh so how did I know like not fall back into into my sin basically after receiving salvation through the Holy Spirit? How it
convicted me? So the Holy Spirit when you look at the scripture it calls it the spirit of truth. The Holy Spirit leads you to all truth. And if you do the math, Jesus says, "I am the Way, the life, the truth." But Jesus also says he's the word. John 1:14 says, "The word was flesh, right? Became flesh, dwelt among us, and uh, you know, lived among us." So when I think about myself and I try to confirm my salvation with myself, I never do that because I'mma live like a roller coaster. When I'm doing good,
I'm gonna be like, "Hallelujah. Amen. I'm doing good." But when I'm doing bad, then I start to judge myself, condemn myself, feel bad. So I always confirm my salvation and my walk, not amongst myself that changes, but with the word of God that never changes. You get what I'm saying? So if you follow on and and and you're in the word, I read the Bible a lot front to back. It's not because I'm trying to flex. It's not because I'm even trying to get closer to God. It's because I know that all my thoughts are
evil if the Bible says it. And so I need to replace those thoughts with the word of God. The Holy Spirit will always lead you back to the word. A lot of people ain't in their word, they're in their feelings. So that's why they live happy, sad, happy, sad, sin, repent, sin, repent, up and down, up and down. Understand what I'm saying? Amen. Amen. I personally want to thank you for coming out to Arizona and spreading the good news, growing the kingdom. But my question is, can salvation be lost? Can you earn salvation? [music] My
question to you is without Jesus Christ dying, can you earn salvation? Absolutely not. So how can you lose something you can't earn? [snorts] Make sense, right? God is telling us that. Amen. God is telling us that he has to do everything. Of course, you have to be obedient. Of course, you have to, you know, try to be Christlike. Absolutely. But you have to understand one thing. We learned from this good Samaritan. The good lawyer was like, "What must I do?" That heart very dangerous, right? How can you lose salvation if [music] you never even earned
it yourself? Unless Jesus dies on the cross and then un undoes that, takes it away from us, right? [music] On some Indian giver energy, right? Then like, okay, you know what I'm saying? But he's not doing that, right? And it says in Romans, you cannot [music] be plucked out of your father's hand, right? And you won't sin deliberately, right? People misquote Hebrews 10:26 as well. If you sin willfully, God, you know, there remake no more sacrifice for sins. They're not understanding context of what that's actually speaking about. If you sin willfully against the knowledge of
of truth, right, which is the gospel of your salvation, Ephesians 1:13, then obviously if you keep rejecting Jesus, you will go to hell, right? That's a that's a very clear thing. That's why if you look at it, God never says your name will be added to the book of life. He says I will blot you out of it. Do you know why? Because 2,000 years Ago, he added all of our names into it through Jesus Christ. Make sense? Okay. So, During this time, do you realize that James is also in the gang life? I know
it's different, but I think he is, but I still say no. Not true. You're in denial a little bit. I still denial, right? Who wants to? Of course. Yeah. So then, so then what happens when you get the call and James is now going to juvenile hall? You know what I say? Okay. My life is done. When that time I admit, okay, my life is done. Yeah. So since then I really think one actually at least I say James is outside, right? So it doesn't means I don't care about him. It just [music] at least
one say but both of them that means I am totally loser, hopeless. It's time to die. Why? [music] Because you know I'm a nice person, right? We we have a nice person. I'm thinking I may I make two monster harmful for the Society cuz uh when I know James because of Johnny I start to really pay attention to the game what they are [music] doing. It shocked me. I say, "Oh my god." You know what? I know that they go Chinatown. I do I do see they you know what they grab the old lady back.
They let this old lady were just tripping on the floor and then 911 [music] comes. The lady, she's bleeding. So, who knows if she dies or not? Look at her. I I didn't see my son, but I'm thinking my son is Yeah. one of them. Well, so you started at this point, it sounds like you started to kind of blame yourself and I'm understanding the difference between did you was there a part of you that thought it was karma like you deserved it or you did something to to deserve this or or when did you
think like okay this is a sin this was just a sin? Sin both both both. But to me sinful heart is uh bigger. Ah I'm a karma became [music] because uh that's what they say, right? Okay, we believe it. But I I already told you it's been through these many years, right? I try I always try be nice to the people. Yeah. You know, I I'm the kind of people I we don't need a law. Everybody can live together. I'm that [music] type that too nice. You hear what I'm saying? Too nice. But because the
Buddhas also teach us too, you need to do good thing. You need to do good thing. But so that's why I never really think I'm a sinner. I just say because as you say, karma, [music] right? Karma karma. Yeah. Because of karma. So I accept [music] it. But my heart doesn't really think about I do harmful for the society. You weren't a bad person in [music] your heart. You feel that? I never become a bad person. I never until that moment until that two of them that moment the sinful heart I I'm a I really
I'm a sinner. That heart is huge to me. Here are three Bible verses that will level up your prayer life. The first verse is Jeremiah 33:3. It says, "Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." So God wants you to step one, call upon him, right? Cry out to him. And then secondly, he promises not just to answer, but also give you revelation according to the scripture beyond what you would normally have. So when you sit there and you're praying to God, you have to
believe that he hears you. Number one, believe that you're righteous and believe that he's going to show you something at the end of the day, right? And ask him to give you the heart to be able to accept these things. The second verse is Philippians 4 6-7. It says, "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God." So why does he say be careful for nothing? It means to not worry about anything. God wants our request to be made to God. And he says,
"Be thankful, right? Give thanksgiving in all things." Why? Because the gospel, God has made everything reconciled back to him through the blood of Jesus. He's made us righteous, holy, sanctified, and justified. Why wouldn't you be thankful if you believe that the end result, whether your prayer gets answered or not, is heaven is salvation. So that's very, very, very important. Praying is not about just removing problems, but it's about receiving grace in spite of those problems, right? Being happy in those problems. The last Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:17. He says, "Pray without ceasing." It's a
very short verse, but it's very pivotal. Why does God say keep on praying, right? Because God is always with us. And if prayer is a conversation, it means we're always talking to God. So it doesn't mean like legalistically to pray 24/7 365. What he's saying is, hey, I'm always here and I always have my ear open to you. You can talk to me anytime. You don't need to stop talking to me, right? So it's like very very beautiful, right? God is walking with you constantly. He's always in intimacy with you. So don't pray to him
like a checkbox. Don't pray to him That, you know, like out of obligation, but pray to him because you love him and because he loves you and he'll hear you. So he said actually I waited very long for that. He's like waiting for that. Yeah. He was sad but also happy. He was like excited but also sad but he didn't want to show it. [snorts] He said he had he was at a loss for words and he was severely extremely moved because [clears throat] our cultures are so different. I grew up in Korea. My parents
were very strict and also very abusive. So I also followed them and did the same thing to my kids. But I realized I was wrong. America is not the same. He said then he realized as a father I was wrong. I should have spoke to you guys and fellowship more and had more communication, but I I couldn't. So, this was my life lesson. When Johnny was younger and he was so bad, he's very smart, very cunning. When he was really young, he could he was like he had a business mindset. When when toys would break,
he would fix toys with other toys and sell them. Yeah. He would sell it to other kids [clears throat] and then the food trucks would would come my hamburger and he'd buy hamburgers. He had some cash in his hand. Where did you get this from? He said, he told me I sold everything and you know and I I bought my own stuff. He has a really good memory. Even though he's young, he was young. He told me so many things. like up to even two years old and even more than like more than even like
around 2 years old he could remember things saying I can remember he's like wow I thought about it it's true you what you said was right but how could you know that you're two family restaurant One [music] day he took me and my family I took Johnny and my my family to this Korean restaurant. I was like only a year, a little bit like over a year, you know. There was a guy who was really old. He had a big old beard, came over and told me, "Can I touch your younger son?" Okay. Yeah. Touch
my hand. touch my arm. He said, "He's not this. He's not a normal kid." He said, "Yeah." You guys have to follow this kid. He said, "Really?" But during that time, he was the worst kid. He didn't listen at all. Yeah. That time I was, you know, doing business in America. I saw he had a bandana. Okay. His pants were super baggy. He was only six, seven years old dragging his feet. So I didn't understand at that time that that's a gang culture. Like he was already trying to emanate that. I didn't know. Later I
So I will beat him. They all been beating me, both of the kids. As I got older, I knew that it was we need support. And I hope all parents can realize this to have communication. Yeah. Not this mindset of I say so, just do it. Yeah. Please give them some space. Please respect them. It's not just because I'm a parent. I'm right and I and I it's my way. I learned that first time being a dad, you know, I really didn't know. I learned a lot through my mistakes. Actually, the most sad is his
his is my wife. his their parents, you know, I I pity her the most. When I failed in my life, everything was good, you know, but business was went bad. No pain, no nothing. Couldn't couldn't afford anything. I was very frustrated. I fight with her every day. Drink every day. Beat her, beat them. I'm really sorry. Thankful that she went to the church found in my heart I I was very rough but I didn't believe in those things but through them changing I'm also a Christian now and I was a people's peace peace has has
a lot of power. You really have to have God. And that's if you trust God, he will help you and he'll fix everything. Wow. That was good, dude. I'm so happy to He never thought he would be Christian and he would preach so many people and give them happiness and fix their problems. He said, "In this world, in this world, there's so many families that are broken. And I'm so thankful that Johnny's the one that's helping piece everything back together in this world." And so thankful that he met you guys and you guys helped my
son. And you guys are such good friends to him, such family to him. Thank you guys. People don't actually know what real good is. People don't know what the Bible is. They don't know how to read the Bible. It's really sad. And those who are humble will say that's true because if you knew how to read your Bible, number one, you would Be nurturing a a generation. The Bible is powerful, guys. And it unlocks a lot of things. You would have so many followers under you. You would have disciples. He says, "Make disciples of many
nation by what? Preaching the gospel." But people don't even read their Bible. They they say that they have a relationship with God when they don't open their books. Is crazy. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? How can you know about your father? The Bible explains everything about your father. It's descriptive in so many ways. And yet people don't read it and they go, "I know God." You think you know God. All of us are just fanboys and fan girls. We We love people. You know, there's like super fans of like LeBron, super fans of
Kobe Bryant, but they can't take the phone and call him. They They're not invited to his house. They don't have a relationship with him. They just know about him. That's us. We're super fans of God. Don't be super fans. Be family of God. Be in his family. be in his word. Visit him every day in the scripture. Not just in prayer. Understand what I'm saying? Not just in repentance, but in faith through the word. Understand what I'm saying? But people, they don't like being heard this. They don't like hearing this or being told this. I'm
sorry. They're continuously like, "No, you don't tell me that." So, they operate positionally from pride and then call you egotistical when you tell them that. You guys get what I'm saying? How can you know Jesus Christ when the Bible literally says he is Jesus Christ? In the beginning was the word of God. The word was with God. The word was God. Who's that? Yeshua Hamesiach. John 1:14. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Who is Jesus? The word. And you tell me you know Jesus without reading the Bible. Stop playing. That's a joke.
You tell me you know Jesus. You ain't never finished the Bible one one time front to back. Let this convict you. Honestly, you're telling me you know him because you pray to him? Do you even know how to pray? Mark 11:24. There's a way to pray. Understand what I'm saying? They don't even know what they're saying. God literally says John 1:14. How do you know this all by heart? Cuz it's proof that I read the Bible. That's what I'm saying. You read something enough, it becomes part of you. That's why God says read the Bible.
There's a study shown if you read the Bible more than four times a week, your life drastically changes. Drastically, like hundreds of percent different. How can you even say that you know God when Bible says he is it is God? The word is God. It speaks through that. Hebrews 1:1 and2, right? We can quote scripture for days. But it doesn't matter if you're not looking at it and if you don't respect me enough to believe it. There is nothing wrong, okay, with a servant of God telling you to read the Bible. You've been a Christian
for 10 years, 5 years, 2 years, even one year even, but you've never read the Bible front to back at least one time. You should honestly be feeling a godly remorse. Where are you drawing your energy in prayer alone? Didn't the apostles quote scripture? It is written. Don't they doesn't Apostle Paul quote Jeremiah in Hebrews chapter 10? Doesn't Luke quote psalm? Doesn't God himself Jesus quote things from psalm? Even Jesus quoted scripture. He refer he referred back to himself, Right? The word. But people don't even do that. So don't get mad. I'm not saying this
to get mad, okay? It's okay. We're all similar. But you have to understand something. It doesn't take that long to read the Bible, guys. But because your heart is okay, you rather fall into Tik Tok, Instagram, doom scrolling. You rather listen to other people talk about God. You rather go and research other things, early manuscripts about people, do anything but read the Bible. Understand what I'm saying? You guys like commentary on the Bible. Why not just get in your word? Oh, because it's boring. Oh, because every time I open it, I get sleepy. So then
fall asleep to it. Where does it say to read and stay up? If it makes you go to sleep after 10 verses, you at least read the Bible 10 verses and don't set an expectation that's from Satan. Oh, I need to read five chapters a day. No, you don't. Who told you that? Where is that even biblical? You study not because you have to. But because you want to. And if you don't want to, it's because you're good. You're okay. You don't need the word. See, I cling on to this word every day. Why? And
I read it every day. Why? Because I need it. I can't go a minute without trust, you know, trusting my thoughts. I fall right back into my old lifestyle. I need it every day. And even then, we still struggle. So imagine me in my word daily still. And you guys aren't even in your word daily. Make sense? What's up, Johnny? Uh, my name is Darien. Uh, my question is, so the Bible says that God will not tempt you. Can You explain the difference between a test versus temptation and how to discern between the two? So,
you have to discern with the word. Hebrews 4:12 says, "The word of God is sharper than a two-edged sword, pierces through the dividing and the sunder of the soul and the spirit. And the word is a discerner of the thoughts and the [music] intentions of the heart." Right? So, you have to recognize, oh, if I want to be able to see if this is a temptation, you have to line it up with the word. That's why I tell people to read the Bible because if you don't read the Bible, how would you know? You're going
to go to Chad GBT and Google. Understand, right? And then it's going to spit out all this other crazy stuff. So, your job, that's why we have people who are ministers and elders and right, as you follow that, you have to believe God through the pastor will speak to me. God through the word will speak to me. That's how you discern. It's the same with condemnation and conviction. A lot of people mistaken condemnation for conviction. Conviction is always positive and hopeful. For example, if I'm driving my car and I'm speeding, right? And I crash my
car most of the time. I'll be honest, when I was trapping and living that old life, I never wore a seatelt, right? So, I would just drive that day. For some reason, I wore a seatelt and I crashed on the freeway and I felt the sheer force like it could have lifted me out of the windshield. I would have died. I was going like 95. I was going crazy, right? And [snorts] every time I think about that, I don't go, "Oh my gosh, I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have drove that fast." I go, "Thank God
I wore a seat belt." It's hopeful [music] and empathetic. Condemnation. Temptation is always negative. You understand? Oh, you're so dumb. Why did you do that? Oh, and it's like a air balloon that just lets it deflates. You feel deflated as a human being. So you have to recognize, oh, every time I have these negative thoughts because of Romans 8:1, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. It means if I'm having condemning thoughts, not from God. If there's temptation that's coming and it feels like a negative thing, not from God. Understand?
That's one of the way or two of the ways that you can do it. Amen. Preacher God doesn't say forgive and be naive. He says forgive and then move forward. Okay, now I'm going to equip myself, right? Like there's there was a in my armor. Let me kind of like, you know, weld that back together and move forward. And it's okay. It's okay to tell people no because when you tell somebody no, their real hearts come out, right? And and it's okay to only open up the door back up to like reconciliation if they're truly
repented. [music] Meaning, man, I really messed up and I'm truly sorry about this and I don't want to do this anymore. And then they focus back on the gospel. They also work on their relationship with God. Otherwise, even though they don't have the intention and they may feel bad, because regret is not repentance. [music] Just because they feel bad, does not mean they actually, you know what I mean? Like they could keep that same energy. Repentance is changing their whole belief to like I was right and I hurt you to I'm wrong. I I should
not have Ever done that. I will never do that again. I'll go back to God and learn from him. So yeah. Yeah. When I was 14, I got shot by my dad and I ended up paralyzed and he shot my mom and killed my sister and he shot himself. So, he's dead. But over the years, I've I've struggled to find my purpose and I've just grown anger inside of me and I kind of blame everything on my mom even though she wasn't the one that did it. And so now I'm like I try to get
closer to God, but like in the mornings I read the Bible and then she comes over and it's like I didn't read it. It's like I'm a completely different person and I just get angry at her and I want to learn how to forgive her. Yeah. Amen. Um you know, first and foremost, thank you for being vulnerable and I'm sorry that that happened to you, you know, but truly God did all of that to lead you to a position where you can accept God, right? Um, I'm very thankful that you're here today because [music] God,
I can see, is actually working in your life. Amen. [applause] The reason why relationships sour is because communication ends. Do you understand what I'm saying? Think about a swamp. There's no flow of water into it. So, what happens? It rots. Does that make [music] sense? Everything is a medium of exchange. Your heart is the same [music] way. The best tasting water is water that's flows and exchanges Through the mountains and rocks and creeks. Are you following me here? So likewise, your heart needs to exchange with your mother more [music] rather than coming from a position
of I'm angry at you cuz you're going to feel the anger. Even that you should express that. You know what you should say to your mom is exactly what you said to me. Mom, I am angry at you, but I don't want to be. This is a heart that show up able to accept. Most of the time, we don't want to be. We hide that part and we just yell at them. [music] You got with this person, he did this to us. Do you know? Do you feel you understand what I'm saying? Open that most
vulnerable part of your heart because that will allow for exchange. Right? Even if you flow water into the swamp, sooner or later it'll actually purify it. Make [music] sense? Our hearts are like that. It's like electricity. It has to flow. Make sense, right? You look at a Samsung refrigerator, let's say. If it's not connected to the outlet, no electricity flows. It's useless. [music] You understand? Your heart is the same. Share that part of your heart with your mom. Mom, [music] I don't want to hate you. I literally read my Bible today, but there's something that
just keeps coming up and dragging me to make me angry at you. Mom, I want to forgive you. Speak to her [music] in this way and watch her heart shift. Watch your heart shift. Are you following me here? Right? Be your most vulnerable [music] self. Even if it's painful, speak to them about that. That's number one. Number two, also the verses that I gave other people. It wasn't your mom or even your father or anything like that. There Was evil forces dragging both people. Do you understand? Just like you want to forgive, but there's something
that just springs up when you see her. You get triggered basically, right? That means it's not your heart. Make sense? Like I I came to Houston. We ate like really really good food out here. You guys got bomb food out here by the way. Right. Amen. And you know, we went to eat like all the places we ate, you know, was really really good. I wanted to eat, I didn't regret it. Make sense? But when I went to go do drugs, at first I felt like I wanted to do it, but it always ended in
misery and regret. Does that make sense? Proof that it wasn't my heart. I was deceived, misled by something to make me feel that way. That's what's happening with you. Make sense? You love your mom. Trust me, you do forgive her. But things rise up and you because you don't know how to distrust your thoughts, you trust that and react accordingly. That's why I said the root of everything is distrusting your thoughts. Make sense, sister? Amen. You forgave her. Trust me, you know. Thank you. Amen. Amen. God bless you. So, quickly look at this guy. And
this is a Laboo. We're going to put the picture on screen. You guys have seen this guy with the little teeth and everything. Producers in the back. Yeah. Looks kind of cute. Kind of innocent. Now, this is a demon named Pizuzu. M. It looks almost identical. It's definitely the same. We're going to put this up on the screen for y'all. First of all, Pizuzu Laboo. It's like that's too much of a coincidence for me. It's like And then they look exactly the same. Okay, but here's where it gets even crazier. So, it's a real demon
from Mesopotamian mythology. It's about plagues, chaos, and fear. And it was featured in The Exorcist. I saw it on an episode of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror. But back then, they actually carve them into little sculptures and wore them around. They put them around their house and wore them just like leoos. [clears throat] Literally, if you look at leoos, everyone has them on keychains and up in display in their house. But literally, it was like little demon creatures that they would do in Mesopotamian culture. So, I'm just curious. Do you guys think this is a
bunch of internet, you know, conspiracy theory or do you think there's actually some demonic connection behind Lab Boooos? Yeah, I think either way, I think Satan will, whether subconsciously, consciously, will always slip in something, right? He wants to leave his mark cuz Satan, when you look at the way he is, is he's very, very egotistical, right? He's prideful. So, he wants to be known. Like, he loves being famous. So he likes to slip little things in and be like, "Yeah, that's like like" like like he likes to take credit for things like that, you know?
But in the same way, he's also very inconspicuous. It's a weird balance. So yeah, I would say uh it's maybe whether it's on purpose or not, if you go the way of the world, good intentions always end up bad, right? So I I would say I'm pretty sure I don't know if the guy was like in China like you know what I'm going to put the [laughter] the puzzle together and uh this make this guy look good Satan [laughter] you know I don't think he was doing that like on the real I think he was
just like wo like he was inspired by his own thoughts thoughts that are also planted by enemy etc etc etc so you know it happens that actually makes sense you don't think labuboos are one of like the four horsemen of the apocalypse. [laughter] No. But it's interesting like so like even if it was just through thoughts and through just like satanic worldly mind views and then Laboo/Pizuzu gets created. No. Now that all these kids are buying them, people are bringing them into their homes, wearing them on their bodies, whether it was intentional or not. Do
you think that [clears throat] kind of a curse? It's kind of bad luck. I think I think regardless of what that is, I think everyone is cursed if you don't have the gospel anyways. You know, there's always this saying where people go, Johnny, why do I feel like after coming to Christ, I feel like I'm getting attacked more. That's not true. You've been attacked ever since you were a kid. You're just now more aware of those things. Right? So, I mean, for people to be like, "Oh, I'm cursed. Don't buy the boooos." It's like, bro,
you've been cursed since that little monkey cutout was like, "Believe in yourself." And you're like, "You know what? I should." So, it's I don't like when people overhype those things, but I get why they would do that. And that's exactly what Satan wants. He's going to be like, "Oh, I'm messing with you Here." When in in reality on the side, he's doing that. I'll be honest, right? Like I've heard from a mobster is a Asian mobster gangster, right? A triad dude. He was like, "We will literally have a cargo ship purposely will tip off the
cops to get like let's say they're moving like 10 keys or 100 keys, right?" He's like, "They'll they'll let that one slide and get caught while this bigger ship moving over is has a thousand keys in it, right? So it's like in the same way I feel like Satan does that too where he'll sit there and he'll be like, "Oh, look guys, little boo boos." And all in behind he's doing way more things that we're getting distracted on. We see it in media all the time. My question is as a believer in Christ, we're all
taught to love God and show people um God's love. And it kind of is a bummer and it does suck that I have met people in the LGBT community in my church and outside of my church. And to have people come here and tell you like, "Oh, you're blasphemous. is because you love these people. But like, isn't isn't that what we're supposed to do? Like, isn't God telling us to love our neighbors? And I feel like with everything that's going on in the world, it's even more crazy cuz they're trying to separate us, you know,
prosecute us. And it's very scary. So, when it comes to the LGBT community, how can we make them feel more accepted and let them know that they are really loved? Yeah. I think you have to tie everything into sin, right? Because we're all interconnected through sin. The issue is not them being gay. The issue is that They're sinners, right? Right? And we're all sinners. So, we need to focus on, hey, we're stuck in this common struggle. [music] We have one common enemy, which is Satan. And to also be there for them, like you had mentioned
through the gospel. You cannot cast out hate with with hate, right? You have to cast it out with love. So, it's true that you have to love them, but you also have to be honest with them. You have [music] to get to the position in their hearts. Hey, are you really happy? That's what I always ask everybody. the way that you live right now. Are you happy? And be real honest. Oh yeah, I'm happy. Not a prideful, [music] egotistical happy, but like, man, I'm not really happy. Okay, well, what do you have to lose then
to try this thing, right? And that's what I tell my youngsters. I tell people who have this heart that they don't even believe in God. They think God is evil because he allows evil things, right? And I tell them, "Okay, you're right, but how are you happy though?" Right? When you're leading your life, how is that working out for you? And it gives them a reality check. They may not like it. However, they have to at least think about that, right? You guys are all wrong and this and that and then but they're not even
living happy themselves, right? [music] So again, goes back to when you're your own master and you trust yourself and you are your own god, you will live miserably, right? So we are taught to submit to God, Satan tells you no harden your heart, go harder, go, you know, try harder, do better. This type of logic is the reason why people go 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years empty. So meet those people at the heart of emptiness and be vulnerable with them. Hey, I was also empty, you know, during this time and [music] that
time. You don't have to Be like, repent. 1 Corinthians 6 9-10 tells you. If you do that, you're not going to get any fruits. They're literally just going to sit there and go, "Wow, another person who hurt my feelings like see you later." You ought to meet people at their at their position. 1 Corinthians [music] 9:22 tells us,"I am all things to all men so that I can save some of them." Right? So I would encourage you to be that vessel to be vulnerable for them to be able to come and share their hearts with
you. Okay? Yep. When I say Jesus is in Genesis 22, people think the gospel started in Matthew, but it actually started in Genesis. How? Where? Isaac and Abraham, for example, Isaac is Abraham's firstborn. Huh? Just by me saying that, you should catch it. But let's keep going. Where was he actually bringing him to? Mount Mariah. So, if you know biblical history, then you know Mount Mariah is where Isaac was to be offered the firstborn to God, right? And then he goes, Abraham, Abraham, stop. Right? Where was Jesus later crucified? That same mountain, mountain Calvary, right?
It was a prophecy of Calvary. Understand what I'm saying, guys? It's not talking about Isaac's obedience, guys. It's not talking about Abraham's obedience either. It's talking about the father's obedience. Genesis 22:8. Let's focus here. It says, "And Abraham, my son, God will himself provide a lamb, huh? For a burnt offering." So, they went both of them together. Right? Let's think about It. And if you know the story, who's carrying the wood? Was it Isaac or was it Abraham? Isaac is carrying the wood. Who carried the cross to get crucified? The son. Understand? The father led
him to the mountain. Jesus was led by the father to the mountain to die for our sins. Are you following me here? 2,000 years later, he goes to the same region of Mount Mariah to get crucified there. Behold, the lamb of God which takes away the sin of the sin of the world. Right? John 1:29. Father Abraham offers his beloved son. God offers his only son. Son carries the wood. Jesus carries the cross. Isaac willingly goes. Jesus willingly laid his his his life down for our sins. And the lamb was caught in the thickets which
is the thorns by its head. Who received the thorns on their head? Meaning the curse. Yeshua Hameshiach. God will provide himself a lamb. He provided Jesus for us. That's why he tells him, Abraham, Abraham, stop. I will do it. It is a foreshadowing of the gospel in Jesus Christ. Stop playing with me. Understand what I'm saying? It says in the Bible that they had a person doing witchcraft in the Bible. Do you know where that's at and why they were doing that? To raise the dead. Yeah. So, Jezebel Jezebel is known for doing witchcraft. She's
also very lustful. I I'm sure you've heard of this. The Jezebel spirit. Jezebel was King Ahab's wife. And what she did was she prosecuted and persecuted Elijah. Elijah is one of the greatest prophets. He, you know, defeated all the balls, you know, all those people and the the the, you know, all those evil people. So, what he wants us to recognize is there will be witchcraft. There will be idol worship. Everything is a distraction. See, Satan doesn't need to drag you to hell. He's just got to distract you from heaven. You understand? So, that's all
he has to do is make you focus on chakras and different things. But Jesus Christ is literally the hand of God. And our our heart is like a glove, right? If you try to put a foot in it, if you try to put money in it, if you try to put drugs in it, it don't fit. You need the hand of God to fit inside of your heart. And that's what's going to cast out all the all the darkness and make you happy. So, yeah. Amen. Thank you, brother. Appreciate you. Good question. When the Bible
says, "Old things are passed away and behold, all things are become new." Does that mean that the old things I used to do, they're like on the back burner, but all things are becoming new? Does the things that are old, they still interfere with my Life now? As well as the second part, if you are saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongue, does that give you some type of strength to fight off the old ways? Good question. So, for the first part of your question, when he says
that your old ways are past, it's not God who brings up your past, right? Because God in Romans chapter 8:1 says, "There is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." In Revelation 12:10, it says, "Satan is a accuser of the brethren." Jesus will never bring up the things he paid for. You get what I'm saying, right? It's Satan who says, "Hey bro, you remember you did this? Remember you did that." That's why Isaiah 43:16-19 says, "Do not think about the former things. Don't do it. It's a commandment." Because he knows that Satan
is going to try to plague you with your past. But Satan had influence on that. Basically, what he does spiritually, brother, is he takes your hand and he slaps you in the face and he goes, "Why you hitting yourself?" You understand? And then he makes you take ownership. We don't take ownership that's not our own. You understand? Satan did those evil things for us. We are to push it onto him, assume our new identity. And to the second part of your question, speaking in tongues, if you read it in Coney Greek, the word for tongues
in Acts chapter 2, when they came down with cloven [music] tongues is glossa. Glossa is a literal language. They were Galileans, people from Galilee speaking in tongues. So imagine I come here and I just start sp let's say I go to Russia. I don't speak the language, But I start preaching the gospel in Russian. People are going to trip out. You get what I'm saying? That's exactly what happened. That's the scenery. So yes, there are unknown tongues. Sure. But the tongues that he's talking about is the word of God. It's the gospel. The gospel is
your armor. The gospel is your shield. And it overcomes. The more fluent and literate you become in the gospel, you start to have wisdom to overcome all things. All right. Amen. Brother, I'm currently studying as a student in the good news mission gospel. Right. And for me, I came here before actually knowing the word you were going to speak to share the true salvation. I was going to ask you, are you free from sin or is there sin in your heart? Obviously, we've received the answer. You named every verse that I know just as well
as you do. And standing in this line, I realized why God brought me here. And it was for my relationship. And the biggest thing I've been struggling with and hiding from my pastor is I'm falling into sexual immorality and fornication. And I guess my biggest question for you is, how do you overcome that? You got to believe the word of God above your thoughts. So 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells you you're a new creature. All the old has passed. Right? But in your thoughts, you're like, "Wait, but I have sexual lust and desire. So who's right?"
If God tells you you're a new creature and you still have these lustful thoughts, you can differentiate, "Oh, this is not this isn't from God. And if I follow my thoughts, which are from Satan, what is that going to lead me to? Sadness, misery, depression, loneliness, feeling unworthy, X, Y, and Z. It doesn't matter how much you know about the [music] gospel. If you cannot deny your thoughts, you will continuously fall into your flesh. So that the important thing is understanding, oh, I'm not what I thought I was. If God says I'm dead, I am
dead to my sins. Galatians 2:20 says the same [music] thing. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live, but Christ, right, lives in me, right? So, if you think about you being crucified, you were nailed to the cross with Jesus, too. That's why he says take up your cross because what he obtained on that cross was given to us. That's why he says there's co-airs, [music] two crowns, one throne. So we have to recognize, oh, inside of my heart, my identity is Jesus. I don't need to trust my thoughts anymore. But the issue is if
you trust your thoughts, you'll question the word of God. Our thoughts never match the word of God. [music] Make sense? So that's why we have to recognize, wait a minute, like for me for example, I had a lot of anger. I obviously didn't go to prison for selling strawberry shortcakes, right? I went for like shootings and stuff like that. So every time I'll have even that rage arise from time to time, right? Like, oh man, like and sometimes it's like the PTSD like reaching and I'm like, oh my gosh, I don't even have the pistol
on me. But I think about it for a second. Wait a minute. Where is this thought coming from? If God says that I'm a new creature and my thought is telling me to [music] hurt this person, who's right? And I'll literally sit there and kind of process it internally and then I'm able to move according to that. A lot of us, we don't think deeply. We overthink, yes, but we don't think deeply. [music] We just go, "Yeah, this okay, I feel lustful." Boom. You accept it bleeds into your heart behavior. And then you're trying to
cut it at the behavior. You have to cut it at the root, which is your thoughts by accepting the word of God above your thoughts. Now, I don't know how many times you've read the Bible, but this is why I encourage people to read the Bible because you're the whole point of spiritual life is replacing your thoughts with the word of God. So, when you're speaking, I'm thinking in scriptures. Does that make sense? That's how I'm able to pull it out. But it's because I read the Bible. You can't fight Satan without the word. Jesus
would have did that a long time ago. He used the word every single time. And that's what we have to do. He literally gave us the blueprint on how to overcome temptation. But if we're not in our word, we're in our thoughts. If we're not in our word, we're in our feelings. We will get conquered if that's the case. You, me, everybody else in here. So, you got to be in your word more than you are in your head. Does that make sense? Amen. All right. [snorts] Sure. All right. First, thank thank you for coming,
John. For sure. Appreciate you. Um, I often hear in church people talk about God's unconditional love. And my question is, is that actually scriptural or is that something that us as Christians say? Yeah. Because when you look at John 3:16 says, "Whosoever believe is an insult." That sounds like a condition to me. Yeah. So the way I explain it is a that's a very good question. By the way, it is an unconditional love only because of the act that he did. So he didn't send Jesus after you believed in him. He sent him before you
believed in him. You get what I'm saying? So if he sent Jesus, he just needs us to receive it. And I used this example earlier, but I'll use it again. Uh, let's say, what was your name again? I'm sorry. Juan. Juan. So, Juan, let's say, you know, I'm like, Juan, when you when you parole out, meet me in LA at this location. I'm going to give you $10,000. I'mma bless you with 10 G's. If you believe me, then you're going to hop on a flight from, you know, Houston airport and go to LAX. Meet me
at the location. I'm going to bless you with 10 G's and you'll receive that, right? But let's say you don't accept what I say. Man, Johnny, he looks broke. $10,000. You don't even look like you got $10. Let's say, right? You were not gonna hop on that plane. Even if this $10,000 is yours, you're not going to receive it. You understand what I'm saying? God needs us to just receive. I mean, you could say that's a condition, but that's a condition of like very simple. It's Not like keep the commandments and then I'll love you.
It's like, I did this. Do you believe me? That's really all it is. And we use faith and belief every single day, right? We wake up. How do we know our cell door is not going to lock up forever? We we have faith that it's going to open up. How do I know driving across the bridge that it's not going to collapse? I'm not testing every pillar. I have faith. So, it's the same thing. You apply faith in everything. Why not apply it to God? It's really simple. Amen. I got a question. When when you
first decided to change your life, you know, I'm pretty sure it's a hard journey. You know what I'm saying? Uh, how easy was it for you to overcome the small things like listening to music, looking at the wind, everyday everyday life, you know, you grow up the stuff we got in here. Yeah. You understand what I'm saying? Yes, sir. So, you got the pool from this side and then the pull from this side. Yeah. And uh I'm not saying committing crimes or selling drugs, but the little things like listening to certain artistes, right? Watch the
TV, right? You know, cuz they show women on TV 24/7, right? You know, the music I like listen to talks about the street life. Yeah. Yeah. But music moves you. So, how hard was it for you to just overcome all that? That's part of everyday life. Yeah. Uh, that's a good question. And like chitting with people that you know they're good people, but they're not ready for the same lifestyle you are. And you don't want to push up, overlook them or or push them away because you know that they're good people. Right. Right. Yeah. Good
question. Honey, how did you overcome that? Yeah. So for me it was hard in the beginning to overcome because we're so wired to live one way and then you just flip the switch. It's not easy. But pastor told me and it's this is why it's important to have mentors. My pastor kept telling me Johnny is cool. Like say for example when you learn how to swim or when you learn how to ride a bike. He was like did you just ride it like perfectly the first time? Of course not. You fell down you scraped your
knee but the more you get up the more you ride it becomes part of you. You get what I'm saying? It's the same thing about denying your thoughts. He's like, you will have these lustful thoughts. You will see women and stuff like that. When you first start, you'll fail, but it's okay. You got to let yourself fail, right? Cuz we're we're our biggest enemies. We're our biggest critique, right? So, little by little, I started to like it started to get better. Like, oh man, I could distrust my thoughts a little more. Oh, I don't have
to go to this girl's house when she calls me and stuff like that. You'll start to notice This thing starts to get a gap, bro. And it's beautiful in [music] that way. But we the way that Satan works, he wants instant results, [music] instant gratification. Man, if I'm not seeing it right now, man, forget this. You get what I mean? We got to stay on the path. That's the one thing. Like with anything in life, bro, it it takes time. It's a process. But for some reason, Christianity, a lot of people think once you got
God right now, you got to change. Impossible, bro. You just got to keep it real with yourself. And I was keeping it real with myself. I'm not going to change overnight. It took me, you know, 25 years to be this way. It's going to take me at least 25 years to unlearn all the stuff that I learned, right? But right now I'm 35. I only been out of prison for 10 years and I feel like I've changed completely. There's peace inside of my heart. Am I tripping on anybody? You know, I travel now. It's a
beautiful thing. And it all starts with just the process, trusting the process. Give yourself some time to fail. It's all good. The world tells you you got to do this and you got to do that. That's not true, bro. All right. Uh, hi Johnny Shane. Uh, thank you for the blessings for for today. And my name is Eric Cortez. And for me, I got two questions for you. Uh, one um, do you have a complexions for tattoos? And another one is, uh, this one's for me personally cuz, uh, just expressing myself cuz I'm all tatted
up, all tatted up. And it's like I grew up, you know, the background just not knowing Jesus Christ. And man, I do have a tattoo that kind of, for me, it kind of hurts me. It's like I have the Virgin Mary. And for me, I'm Mexican and that's my culture. And I didn't know about, you know, that Virgin Mary. So it's like, and I hate it when people compliment my tattoos because like it's like, you also complimenting what I have with the Virgin Mary. It's like, and it's like also it's like for me it's like
uh I'm putting a little stumble around little ones that are like girls. It's like you're only looking at me for just that. It's like it's just so wrong, you know? And it's like that hurts me right there cuz like I want them to look at me for the the fruit of the spirit. And like I look at you, you know, you're very uh you know, with your tattoos, you're very exposed with them. So I want to know like those just those two questions like complexions for tattoo and how you express yourself. Yeah. So number one,
we don't live in front of man, we live in front of God. Right. So we all have a past. I have tattoos and things that I've gotten in prison, you know, stuff like that. That's not I'm not proud of. But it actually is an anchor for us to share the gospel because if I come in here and I'm suited and booted, I'm sure I pro, you know, this crowd would be a little bit different, right? So it your testimony is your testimony, right? You can't have a testimony without the test. You get what I'm saying,
right? So I would say to answer your question, when you're reading Leviticus, it talks about, you know, opening your skin and things like that, but you have to understand the context of what that Bible is, what that chapter is talking about. I read the Bible front to back a lot and the context for that is when there's paganistic people worshiping ball in that context if you're getting tattoos to worship things posture of the heart you understand it's different Right so your Virgin Mary tattoo you could open that up as a testimony you could be like
you know I used to worship this this is the Virgin Mary but truthfully it's not about Virgin Mary it's about Jesus Yeshua Messiah right so you can utilize these things it's Hey. Um, the question about should you get more tattoos if you were Well, I think about it like this. Of course, we're not under the law. If you get another tattoo, I'm sure God won't strike you down. But like I said earlier, are you serving God now? Is he your Lord and Savior, your master, or are you still serving yourself? Right? If I'm a sleeve
for me costs about $10,000. It's expensive. So, I'm thinking like this for Johnny Chang, $10,000 a sleeve. That's cool. I would spend it on myself. But now I'm not living for myself anymore. I'm living in front of God. I represent God. So if I think on God's side, would he want me to use $10,000 to come to Phoenix and save souls or use it for a sleeve? I'm pretty sure he would want me to preach the gospel. You get what I'm saying? So, so it's not about doing this or doing that, right? It's not performance-based.
God is like, I'm going to bless you by free will because he wants you to choose to love him, right? Cuz he cannot force you to love him. That's not love. Love is not forced. You must choose also. So when you have ideas of getting new tattoos and things like that, I would actually say utilizing your time for the gospel. Do everything whether you eat for the gospel, sleep for the gospel, Work out for the gospel, keep everything gospel centered. Okay. Amen. Hi, I'm Holston. Um, nice to meet you and thank you for coming here
today. Absolutely. Um, so I recently just came to Christ and I'm still learning and [clears throat] everything. Um, [applause] but this is more of like kind of an explanation slash question and just bear with me. [music] Um, so one of the things that I'm kind of struggling with um or understanding is so it's right that like Jesus knows who we are. He knows everything we're going to do, everything we already did. Um he knows us before we're born. Okay. So now there's like rules in the Bible like you know don't lie, don't cheat. You know,
there's also rules there like don't be gay, don't, [music] you know, um have sex before marriage or all of that. Um what I struggle with is why would God make someone gay or make [music] someone psychic or make somebody have something a part of them when he knew them before they were born? It's [music] like my my Thought process kind of like does he forgive them regardless or are they damned? So God doesn't make sin. Understand? He created us out of the image of God but only until Genesis chapter 2. Genesis [music] chapter 3 the
fall of man came. Right? So he didn't make me technically right. Like my bloodline is Chinese, right? I obviously didn't choose it. Sure, he may have ordained that. But sin inside [music] of me is the bigger issue here. God wants you to understand that it's not about he created evil, he created good. God is only good, right? He created Satan. Satan is the one who pushes evil. When you say psychic, for example, he makes people psychic. Because marvel not, it says in the Bible that Satan [music] can disguise himself as an angel of light. He
will always come as a person who's good, who shows you, hey, I have dreams and visions, but you have to discern with the Bible because you're a new baby Christian, right, on your walk. That's why it's important to have communities like this where people read the Bible. It's a very good question, but to explain it, you have to peel so many layers back, but instead of trying to understand, cuz sister, what I can see in your heart is you're trying to understand [music] God. Think about that. If you're five years old and you're trying to
explain mortgage to a 5-year-old, do you think they'll understand? No. There's no way. Right? If a kid is like, I want Baby Shark, let's say, right? And you're like, no, I don't have money. And he starts throwing a fit. Right? The kid Has to accept it. Understand? He can't just be like, you buy it. You make it make sense to me why you can't buy me this. Kids naturally have to accept. God tells us we're all children of God. He wants us to come, whether you're 8 years old or 80 years old, as a child.
Why? So that we can accept and receive. God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Not to because he never wanted us to have our own good and evil interpretation. Make sense? But we already ate it. So that's why we have this. Satan has done the job, not just in your life and in my life, but everybody here to boost us up [music] thinking that we're smart. thinking us finite limited human beings can understand an infinite God. Impossible. That's like trying to pour the ocean into this
bottle. Make sense? So your job, sis, is not to try and ponder these things, but to accept. Although I don't understand, I'm going to accept him. Although my dad won't buy me Baby Shark, he says he's got to pay the mortgage. I don't know what this mortgage is. But little by little, God will reveal things to you. Amen. Amen. How y'all doing today? How you doing, brother? My question is I want to ask who baptized Jesus. Say that again. Who baptized Jesus? Who? Who baptized Jesus? Who prophesied Jesus? Who baptized Jesus? Who? Who baptized Jesus?
John. John the Baptist. Yeah. Yeah. Good question. You want to know why he baptized them? It was actually foreshadowing the Levitical laws. So when you look at Leviticus uh as as well as Exodus, a priest, a high priest named Aaron or Moses's bloodline or the Aeronic bloodline, they come and they place their hands over a lamb without blemish, confess their sins over it, which is called the transfer, the Passover of sins. Everything is foreshadowing Jesus. When you look at John 5:39, it says, "Search ye the scriptures. In them you think you have eternal life, but
they are they which testify of me." This is Jesus speaking. So every single thing from Abraham and Isaac, right, the son, the father that's sacrificing the son who's carrying the wood, prophetic of Jesus. You following me? So everything when you read the Bible, if you want to learn a lot, you got to search for Jesus in every line. And that's how you have this wisdom. You follow me? All righty. Amen. Okay.
