the question that all the all the ceos were really asking was how do i conduct my own uh transformation is there a is there a recipe or a checklist that i can follow so i'm digi bonaire i run the global practices for capgemini consulting and i've had the pleasure in the last two and a half years to lead the digital transformation program globally in partnership with the mit we've established now that digital leaders actually are outperforming their peers in industry we also establish now that that digital transformation is happening in all industries that we've looked
at and finally we've started to find not a cookie-cutter approach but at least patterns of what digital leaders do well it's basically around framing the the problem about investing about engaging your people and about monitoring and sustaining the transformation framing the digital challenge as we call it is really a matter of understanding one you know what are the competitive situation around digital in your industry to craft a vision that's both exciting and sufficiently dramatic that it moves your organization uh and also to align the top teams the second part is really more on investment how
do i pick the areas where i have some strategic asset being at the customer experience end at the operations end uh to try to really understand the starting point where i'm going to start to build skills around this transformation the third part is really trying to engage the organization at scale signaling to the organization that the senior management has decided to do something different but the most important part of engaging the organization is really around governance we found governance is the biggest driver of profitability and unfortunately that's where a lot of organizations fail and then
lastly as it's all transformation it needs to be monitored it is not a perfect science and it's an incredibly complex and wide subject so you learn as you develop your capabilities you learn so what's what capgemini consulting can offer that's differentiating in this particular year i think it falls into really three categories first of all we have you know nearly 30 years of experience of business transformation and i think we shouldn't forget that digital transformation is a business transformation driven by digital second i think in the partnership with the mit we've really drilled down in
understanding the specificities and we've looked at all these companies globally so we have a sample we have the best data available to date and lastly i think you know it's it's it's a digital transformation so there is a component of that which is technology penetrating the the the enterprise and and we are part of the capgemini group and and you know this is what the capturement group does for a living then there are you know new technologies coming up virtually every year that are going to have a huge impact having this capability to not only
understand this but also being able to tap on real skills and in-depth skills in terms of technology i think gives our consulting a much stronger flavor to actually deliver practical results in that area you
