Two. One. Beautiful.
Up. Up and forward. Up and forward.
Nice work. Up and forward. Yes, that's my second time with him and definitely he improved a lot.
Um he did we focus more on feet on legs and a little bit power development. So he going to be in the best shape ever. dreamed that I was that faster than I was.
Why you wake up? He's here to get dream. With the fight finally announced, Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson turn up the intensity in training camp, sharpen their skills, push their limits, and prepare to prove who truly reigns supreme.
Yeah, that's the second time that happened to you and I ain't even touch your body and I never again. Shakur Stevenson leaves nothing behind in training camp, pushing his limits and sharpening every skill as he prepares for the challenge ahead. How's it looking today?
It's looking bad today. That's how it's looking. Co going to break some And if they don't break some, you going to beat the out.
Oh, nice. Oh. Oh, reverse.
We don't care who it is. We have no friends. Shakur, if it's going to get in the ring, he going to get this smoke.
If his brother get in the ring, he going to get this smoke. We have no freedom. strictly business.
Stevenson refuses to compromise on speed, working relentlessly and fine-tuning his movements to stay sharp, fast, and fight ready. I said I had a dream that I was that faster than I was. Why you wake up?
He's here to get dreaming. He dreaming, bro. He know that.
You know that. I'm the best fighter in disrespect. Stevenson's intense expression says it all, revealing his competitive fire and determination as he prepares to step into the ring and prove himself.
Jersey. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. I can't wait for this. I can't wait for this.
We got for the other team. On the other side, Devin Haney is pushing himself to the limit in training camp, moving at incredible speed and sharpening his skills. Every session brings another opportunity to build momentum, improve his performance, and prepare for the challenge ahead.
Beautiful. Five more. I've been doing some some morning strength and conditioning every morning.
Uh I do some type of strength, some some type of conditioning, some um that's my first workout of the day. And um you know, I feel great. I feel strong.
I'm happy with the way that camp has been going so far. Keep breathing. Beautiful.
For Devon Haney's team, preparation goes far beyond the hours spent in the gym. His nutrition and training routines are carefully coordinated, treating each day like fight day. Every detail matters as the team works to keep him fueled, focused, and ready.
Uh we just it's like a a competition day. This is like fight day for us. So, we're just making sure that Champ has all the proper fuel in his system leading up to the fight, uh leading up to sparring this evening.
Um, and in tonight's case, we are going to do, or this afternoon, I should say, we're doing a little uh call it a teriyak chicken. I have about 10 ounces of chicken thighs that I'm going to uh we'll sear in the cast iron and finish in the oven. Um, I'll make some rice, make a special sauce with some kimchi and some soy sauce and some peppers.
He likes it nice and spicy. Uh, and um, have him all fueled up and ready to go for sparring today. Devon Haney understands his physical strengths, and he's confident in what his body brings to the ring.
With his natural size and strength and focus, he's working to make sure those attributes complement his technical ability when it matters most. The the smaller weight classes, I'm just a naturally bigger guy. And uh I feel so much better this camp.
Uh last camp I feel great. Uh but this camp I feel even better. Um I feel stronger.
I feel like, you know, more of my natural self. And uh in training camp, it's been showing. You know, I've been strong as I strongest I've ever been, putting up the the best numbers that that I have ever before.
So, uh the results is the ro the results are showing in the gym and uh you know, my mind is clear. Um and I and and I'm ready. Behind every focused fighter is a team working to get the details right.
Devon Haney's coach is keeping a close eye on his preparation, helping him sharpen his conditioning, maintain discipline, and reach the best possible shape before stepping into the ring. [music] training camp is actually really really going well. Um I trained Devin for his first three pro fights.
Um we're back together. So uh I'm a technical guru. I'm I'm a southpaw.
I boxed before 1996 alternate Olympic team. So I'm I'm I dot the eyes and cross the tees. So, I'm making sure that he he's right for his fight.
But most people just see the finished product. They don't see the hard work that goes on. All things that goes on before, like getting up in the morning, running, working out, then you got to go back to the gym and work out again.
So, sparring was Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And we have sparring days, sparring times, and we just go in and get busy. But, it's a lot of work behind it.
When two elite fighters are heading toward a potential showdown, every detail matters. And sometimes the most interesting perspectives come from those who understand the sport inside and out. Ronnie Shields has spent years working with top level fighters.
So when he weighs in on a matchup like Shakur Stevenson versus Devin Haney, his perspective is worth paying attention to of uh Shakur and Haney. Love that fight. Yeah, I guess let me know.
Man, that that's a tricky fight. That's a tricky fight between two of the best fighters in the world today. They both are.
But, you know, with the weight, I'm glad they figured out. Yeah. Yeah.
What do you think about that? You know, 145 I think is perfect for both guys, you know, with uh Shakur coming up 10 lbs and David coming to coming down 2 lbs, you know, but once they put everything back on, it's going to be the same. Yeah.
So, but I think then now you go with the experience of both guys. They're both a real talented fighters and you know and it's really truly hard to pick who will be the favorite in this fight. You know, I think a lot of people would pick Shakur but so many people would pick Deon because Deon but the thing about it is they both are boxers.
So, you know, somebody's going to have to come forward at some point. I think Deon may be a little bit better at coming forward, but Shakur is such a great boxer, man. It's going to be hard to touch him with anything because his defense is so spot-on.
Both men bring exceptional skills, confidence, and a strong belief in their abilities. But stylistic matchups can make things far more complicated than they appear on paper. Shakur has built a reputation for making opponents work for every clean shot, while Haney brings his own experience, timing, and technical ability to the table.
But how might these strengths collide when the pressure rises? Shields offers an intriguing perspective that adds another layer to the conversation. And with opinions already divided among boxing fans, his assessment could give viewers something new to consider before this matchup takes center stage.
Is there like a fight like in history that like it kind of resembles that like stylewise? Starwise, I think you would finally have to go maybe Leonard Hern or something. Yeah.
You think it's something like that? Yeah. Yeah.
Similar. But Okay. Okay.
Cuz Yeah. I'm just trying to think of like Shakur is not going to stray away from his game plan. No.
And Dev is not going to stray away from his game plan. Like how does it You know, somebody's going to have to have to make the fight. Definitely somebody going to have to make the fight.
Devin Haney revealed on Twitter that he has signed a fight deal with Shakur. He said, "Somebody go wake Shakur up. Tell him we got a deal.
" And Shakur responded by saying, "1 145. You got a deal, D. " And Boxing Kingdom confirmed the news, tweeting, "Shakur Stevenson has agreed to Devin Haney's request for a 145 lb catchweight as the fight moves closer to being finalized.
With championship ambitions and reputations on the line, this matchup carries enormous significance. As this fan tweeted, "Whoever wins between Devon Haney and Shakur Stevenson is officially the face of boxing. " And Ring Magazine has provided fans with a latest update on the fight, tweeting, "Bill Haney has revealed that Devon Haney is targeting a fight with Shakur Stevenson on November 28th in Atlanta, Georgia.
When Deon Haney and Shakur Stevenson share the spotlight, the battle begins long before the opening bell. From deciding who gets top billing to determining who makes the final walk to the ring, every detail carries meaning in a major prize fight. Former world champion Tim Bradley breaks down the business dynamics that could shape this event, explaining why championship status, career achievements, and negotiating power all matter when two elite names come together.
Believe it or not, that's that is an argument all the time when you have these type of prize fights. Who who who walks out first? who walks out second, right?
So, if you didn't know, the champion usually walks out second. All right? But there are occasions where the aside will walk out second even though you got the champion, right, that usually walks out last.
So, who's the champ right now? It's Devin Haney. He should be walking out second.
Okay. Who do you believe is the A side of things? Oh man, it's gonna be Hey, leave your leave it in the in the comment section.
Uh, however, I believe Devin Haney is going to be the aside. Uh, I went back and checked Devin Haney when he fought against Lomachenko. Uh, Devin Haney was the aside against the Lomachenko in the Lachenko fight too.
His name was at the top of the bill. Haney has built an impressive resume and Bradley points to his accomplishments as a major factor in determining his position on the promotional side. But recognition is only one piece of the puzzle.
Weight negotiations, promotional responsibilities, and the financial demands of staging a major event can create another layer of complexity. There's also a difference between having a promotional banner and actually taking on the financial risks of putting on a fight. Travel, hotels, ticket sales, and pay-per-view revenue all become part of the equation.
For fighters seeking the biggest possible payday, these decisions can be just as important as what happens inside the ring. Bradley's breakdown reveals the business realities behind boxing's biggest nights and why the final agreement involves much more than simply agreeing to fight. All right.
I believe that this fight, Haney's name will be on the poster on top of Shakur Stevenson. I believe Deon Haney is the aside. And I believe he's the aside because he's accomplished more in the sport.
He is the actual champion, right? And I would say being a shot caller, he called out Shakor Stevenson on top of that, you know, claiming his position as the man. Okay, so I got Devin Haney as the aside in all of this.
Now, the thing is is will [music] Shakur Stevenson follow suit? Shakur is getting his way with the weight about 144 I mean 145 or whatever. You know what I mean?
That's what's been circulating around the rumors. Okay, but they're going to be arguing about all these things that I just mentioned. Okay, and remember you got Haney promotions as well.
Um, you're not really a promoter. I'm just going to keep it a buck with you. I mean, you can have haney promotions, but you're not really a promoter unless you got skin in the game.
All right? You got to have skin in the game, which means that you got to pay and be a part of the actual promotion. Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney bring contrasting strengths to the table, making their potential clash an intriguing test of skill, strategy, and ring intelligence.
As fans weigh the possibilities, Aaron Peterson offers his perspective on what separates the division's elite fighters from the rest. Both Stephvenson and Haney have demonstrated an ability to control the pace, read their opponents, and make adjustments under pressure. However, facing another high-level technician presents a different kind of challenge where timing, precision, and split-second decisions can prove decisive.
Beyond these two stars, Peterson also considers other names capable of making an impact. His analysis offers a closer look at the qualities that could shape the competitive landscape and why certain matchups stand out more than others. I think if I think if in effect I think if in effect the fight does happen, I think it's actually going to be a really really I think it's going to be a extremely dope fight.
Um, if I I will say this, I think that skill-wise it's going to be very high IQ. I think um I do think this though, if um there's two people in the world that if they can't beat Shakur, then I'mma be honest with you, nobody can. At least in in that relative division weight classes.
Um, if Devin or Tank can't do it, then Shakur can't be beaten. Those are the only two people who have the chance at doing it. If Devin Haney or Tank can't beat Shakor Stevenson, Shakor Stevenson cannot be beaten.
That's just the truth. Um, there's no other way around it. Nobody else can beat him.
Who who Foster Shak would be a really good fight and he's proven to be an upset artist. Experience, timing, physical strength, and ring intelligence could all influence how this fight plays out. While some fans believe size and power could make the difference, others see technical ability as the deciding factor.
Both fighters have the skills to create problems, making every adjustment and exchange potentially important. Aaron Peterson also brings another name into the conversation, introducing an interesting alternative within the division. His perspective adds another dimension to the matchup, raising questions about which fighters possess the tools to challenge the very best.
With so much talent involved, the competitive landscape remains fascinating. He will be a good fight, too. But I think that I think Shakur's IQ is higher than his.
And I think that would be I think that will ultimately be the thing that separates those two. But he has been knocking on the door, Shakura, so I would love to see them two fight. But you're right, Oshaki Foster is definitely a a guy that that has potential, but I think the top two is absolutely uh Tank and Deon Haney.
Um I would lean toward toward Deon Haney with this fight. Um only be not not by a whole whole lot, but by by the means that it takes to win. And I think I don't think it's only well, let me rephrase it.
I don't think it's the size or the power. I think it's also the skill set because Deon Haney has high IQ and he has great skill set. If Deon Haney was just bigger and stronger, then I would say Shaur.
I'm going to be honest. If he was just bigger and stronger, I would say Shaur and it wouldn't even be a question. But it's not that Deon Haney is bigger and stronger.
That's cool. But I think his skill set and his IQ combining with him being bigger and and stronger, I think that would be the reason why. But again, I do think Shakor Stevenson again I will die on this hill that if Tank or Devin can't do it, then it can't be done.
And yeah, we Yeah, I yeah, respect honorable mention to Oshaki, but if Tank or Deon can't do it, it can't be done. Um, that's just how I feel about it. But I do think it's going to be a dope fight that gets made.
I'd love to see it. Making a major boxing fight happen isn't always as simple as signing a contract and stepping into the ring. Behind the scenes, negotiations can involve complicated agreements, financial interests, and conditions that the public rarely gets to see.
Breadman Edwards has spent years around the sport, giving him a unique understanding of how these deals can unfold. While fans are eager for clarity, the reality is that many important details remain behind closed doors, leaving outsiders to piece together what's happening. Beyond the negotiations, weight could become one of the biggest factors in making this fight happen.
Devon Haney and Shakur Stevenson are both elite technicians. But agreeing on the right conditions is another challenge entirely with different physical advantages to consider. The weight limit could influence how comfortable each fighter feels heading into the ring.
Shakur Devin 145. We've been we've been we've been back. So it's too much.
this era is too many people involved with the business side. So, you don't know who's pushing all of the buttons, who's pulling all of the strings. You just don't know.
I think the world that Deon and um Shakur, they both tremendous fighters. I like both of those young fellas, but it's too much going on with the business side for the public, for the casuals, for even people like me and you. If you're not sitting in the room, you never going to know the truth.
So, it's one of those things like you hear people speak on stuff and they be speaking in absolute terms like they know the truth mill. They don't know the truth until you in the room and it's your guy and you on the text thread and you on the email thread. You don't know what everybody is saying and what everybody is doing.
Neither side will want to agree to terms that put them at an unnecessary disadvantage, especially when so much is at stake. Breadman Edwards offers his perspective on why these details matter and how they could shape the final agreement. But weight is only part of the equation.
The bigger question is whether both camps can find common ground without compromising what they believe is best for their fighter. The weight is an issue. Um Devin is bigger now.
And if Devin can rehydrate, in my opinion, he's going to have a significant advantage. That's just my opinion. if he can rehydrate.
I don't think Devin is gonna allow himself to to fight at a catchweight and cap it off with a rehydration cause then he will be handicapping himself too much. Um I think it's a great fight. I don't know who's going to win cuz both of them got great jabs but one's a southpaw, one's Orthodox and they could kind of cancel each other out because their hands is going to be lined up with each other.
So I don't know but I'll believe it when we get a press conference. You know what I mean? I'll believe it when when the press tour starts going.
But other than that, everybody's talking over the internets. And honestly, what would you say? 20 25% of the fights don't even only 20 25% of the fights get made that they get that they talk about.
True. We was just talking about Deon and Kean, right? Yeah.
It never happened. We talked about um Shakur and what's the kid name? Kid Austin.
Kid Austin never happened. Remember, it never happened. That's it for today's video.
Stay tuned.
