hot [screaming] stuff, baby. Tonight. I want some hot stuff, baby. This evening. Got to find some hot stuff. Got to find some love tonight. I want some hot. [screaming] Yeah. You're an animal. >> I am. [laughter] [screaming] >> You really are. [laughter] >> I actually preferred her laughing more than her singing. >> Oh, thanks very much. >> I did. [screaming] [laughter] >> Thank you. >> Really? >> Yeah. I like your effort, too. It wasn't great, but you're a very fun person. You got a very fun vibe about you and I like that. >> Okay. Fair
enough. >> You know, exactly. You're fun. >> Mhm. >> You're fun. I like you. >> Thank you. >> I do. Louis, yes or no? >> No, >> Sharon. >> No, because if we put you through, there are so many people that I know would push you out and it wouldn't be fair to you. >> All right. >> I have to agree. But we're going to miss you. >> Oh, thank you anyway. >> Anton and Seb. >> And what makes you different from everyone else in the charts today? >> Um, >> well, we got our own
style, but if it was if we had to say one, it'll probably be like P Diddy and and Usher. >> Okay. >> But he sounds on his when he sings on his own, he sounds like a bit like Rick Arley as well, >> right? So P Diddy, Usher, and Rick Arley >> kind of. Yeah. >> Okay. It's a good mix. And guys, presume you think you can win. What happens when You win? What's the next stage? >> Well, we want to be worldwide selling artists. >> Okay, off you go. >> Okay. Um, >> mysterious girl,
move your body. >> Come on, move your body. Come on, move your body. I stop and stare at you walking on the shore. I try to concentrate. A mind wants to explore >> to explore the tropical scene of you takes me up above. And girl, when I look At you, oh I fall in love. No doubt you look so fine. >> Girl, I want to make you mine. >> Yeah. Come on. >> Just let me love. No doubt you're only like woman that I love. >> Where do I start? I mean, it's more like Anton.
It's just >> Come on, Simon. >> Oh, guys, come on. >> Come on. We know we know we're good enough, Simon. >> No, no, no, no disrespect, but we've we're pretty good. Look, Anton Seb, I mean, it was just crazy bad. >> With this chance, we will prove to you. >> We will prove to we can get we can get better. >> We're different. >> You are different. >> We've never had anything like this on a Show before. >> Absolutely. We've heard nothing like this. >> All right, Lou. Yes or no? >> No, >> Cheryl.
>> Yeah. No. I don't think you're right for this. >> Please give us a chance. >> Guys, >> come on. >> Guys, guys, guys, guys, it's a no. >> Same with mine. So, yeah. You're the reason I go on. Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. You can't sing well enough. >> You mind? Sing if you mind. >> Oh, for God's sake. It's a >> I'm sorry, Simon, but he's a good singer. >> No, >> don't take no for answer. [music] >> Guys, you've got to >> Hero or If You Mine. Just choose. Which Which song

You look great. >> Thank you. Beautiful. >> Where are you from? >> I'm from Russia originally. >> Are you serious? >> Yes. Yes. So, I'm here finally. I'm so happy to see you. >> Have fun. >> Let's rock it. >> [music] >> I hold you when I need you. My heart's on fire. [singing] >> Yes.
Give it to me, Arena. >> Come to me. Come [music] to me while the wire. Oh, you come [music] to me. Give me everything I need. You're simply the best. Yes. Better than all the rest. [singing] Yes. Better than [music] anyone. [singing] Anyone I've ever [music] met. >> I think she's a good performer. >> If you just sell it, then you can get through. Does that mean [music] I lo [music] I can feel her when I'm alone. [music] Silent. Silent. >> Why? >> Silent. >> Yes. [laughter] >> What did you love? You love everything. >>
Well, there are some slight issues on the vocals, but come on. You obviously Want this. I love this kind of ambition, taking the moment. You're slightly scary, but I like that >> you're like a a Russian tigerous share. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> You've got teeth and balls and great cheekbones. >> Thank you. >> You know, you remind me of a baddie from a James Bond movie. >> And that's a good thing. >> Definitely. >> Yes, >> Nicole. >> I like the tigerous in you. So, it's a yes for me. >> It's a big yes. >>
Yes. >> Guess what, you have four yeses. >> I can't believe. Can I please help you? >> Yes. The best sim. >> I am. Yeah. >> From Barcelona. >> From Barelona. >> Barelona. >> Barcelona. [laughter] >> Barelona. >> Okay. Penelope. And what are you going to do for us today? >> I'm going to sing for all of you. Um, [snorts] Over the Rainbow. >> Okay. >> What was that? >> Over the rainbow. >> Oh, >> okay. [singing] are the rainbow. [laughter] >> You very [laughter] >> I apologize. I don't know what's got into him. >>
Oh, [laughter] Lou. >> What's the problem? >> Oh my god. [laughter] >> Sorry. [laughter] >> Start again, please. >> Okay. [laughter] >> [laughter] >> Well, >> if you sing to me, okay, >> just just look at me. Okay. [laughter] >> What is the problem? >> Okay. Okay. [clears throat] We're starting again. >> Okay. >> It's a sad song. Somewhere over the rainbow. [singing] [laughter] Do you have a second song? Do you have a >> Do you have a [laughter] second song? >> Yes. But you're going to laugh at it. >> Stop it. Going. >> What
is the song? Oh yeah, please. I love that song. [laughter] >> I do. I love it. [gasps] >> Oh my god. >> I don't know what's happening today. >> Very bad. [laughter] >> Just just sing Fields of Gold. [laughter] >> We don't get many Spanish singers in here. [laughter] >> Are you ready? [cough] >> Okay. Filter gold. Goldilon [singing] the fields of barley. You'll forget the sun in his yellow sky. As we walk on fields of [laughter] [laughter] what's happened, right? Uh Sharon, yes or no? [laughter] >> I'll come back to Sharon. Louie. >> Yes.
>> What? >> Yeah, I think I put it through. She's great fun. She's different, [laughter] >> but I I was entertained. She entertained me. It was great fun. It was great, Great fun. I'm saying I'm going to say no. [laughter] >> I'm going to say yes. >> Oh, for definitely. It's a yes. [laughter] >> I'll take a break. [cough] Well done. >> Go and join the other girls. [laughter] >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Hi. >> Who have we got here? >> Twisters. >> Twisters. >> Yeah. [cheering] Girls, where where are you from? >> Newcastle. >>
Were you in boot camp last year? >> Yeah. >> Wow. So, you came back with a band? >> Definitely. >> That's a good idea. Did you enjoy boot camp? >> It was an amazing experience. But yeah, and I'm back with these guys. >> Okay. What girl band in the world would you like to be as big as? >> Destiny's Child. >> Child. >> Destiny's Child. death. >> Okay, off you go, Twisters. >> Thank you. [cheering] >> Good luck, guys. >> Never mind. I'll find you. I wish you >> don't forget me. back. I said sometimes
it lasts in love, sometimes it hurts. [singing] Never mind. I'll find someone like you. [applause] >> [applause and cheering] >> I wasn't crazy about the harmonies to be honest with you. And when you started Singing, no disrespect ladies, but I was wondering why did you bring them along? Because you just didn't feel like you could do it by yourself. I I did it last year by myself and it didn't didn't work. I wasn't Maybe I wasn't good enough or maybe it wasn't my time last year, but I think this feels right. This this is right.
I love these girls to bits that honestly are me best friends and I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else other than these girls. >> I just feel like [music] you got scared and you were trying to hide behind them when you could have came back this year and really been like, "Oh no, I can do this by myself again." [cheering] >> Felisa, >> I get what you've done. I mean, last year you left at boot camp, so you came back and you tried to do something different. >> Did it work? >> You do
have an amazing voice on your own. >> We do do another song where we do same bits. Let's see what Gary told. >> It doesn't feel like a band at all. It feels like a solo singer with three very mediocre backing fingers. [cheering] >> Or no, sorry, girl. It's a no for me. >> Tisa, yes or no? >> I think they deserve [music] a chance. I'm going to give them a yes. [cheering] >> Thank you [music] so much, >> Kelly. I listen to you [music] sing and I'm like, "Oh my god, she has this great
voice and she came back this year with a group and you just [music] kind of doubted yourself." I just I just don't see it. It's going to be a no. I'm so sorry. I don't I don't see it. >> I'm going to say no. My home Pray from my home, isn't it? >> I just think she hates >> sad, isn't it? >> Yeah. >> I liked her. I liked [music] her voice. >> There's a lot of potential there. >> The most thing I've done. That's all you can do. >> What's the situation at the moment
there? >> Can I go back and get that one girl? >> I'd like to save her >> to sing on her own as a solo. >> Yes. I think it's worth giving her a shot. >> Yeah. >> I'll be right. Oh, sorry. >> Sorry. I'll be right back. >> Where is she? >> The girl. You have a unique voice and when y'all sing together, it's nothing unique about It. It's not not the four of y'all together. I'm so sorry. >> I'm just saying in this moment, would you want to come back or would you want
to leave? >> This is my dream or as it is my dream, but I feel totally not guilty. >> This is your opportunity. Don't let anybody take this away from you. Look at me. Don't let anybody take this away from you. >> Sorry, guys. You don't get You don't get too many chances in life. >> You've got to take the chance with her. I know it's a tough one, but you've got to take your chance. >> I think it's worth [music] a shot. She has a really great voice. It's worth a shot. >> Feel totally
not guilty. And don't feel prepared for this at all. [applause] >> [cheering] >> you walking out here crying. >> I know. I just feel I just feel guilty just for coming back and everything, but I'm going to try on my own. [applause] >> You really should give yourself an opportunity to really make it great. You're so emotional and to be technical, your vocal cords are really swollen and you're going to sound like you're just driving over humps. You know what I mean? And you don't want to do that to Yourself. Get yourself together. Okay. [cheering]
I see you driving [screaming] around town with the guy I love and I'm like forget you. I guess the change in my pocket wasn't enough. I'm like forget you. Well, I'm sorry I couldn't afford a variety, but that don't mean I can't get you there. Get you there. Yeah. Xbox and I'm More. But the way you play your game ain't fair. I pity the fool who falls in love with you. >> [cheering] [applause] >> Thank you very much. >> Now, that's what I heard at first. There is a lot of work to be done, but
I still think you have a strong voice. >> Thank you very [music] much. >> You sound great. Give yourself some Credit, babe. [cheering] [applause] >> I think you have a great voice. There's something about you that gives you an edge from the other girls we've seen. [music] You're slightly edgy. Something different there. Yeah, Chrissy, I think the reality of it is that if if they're really [music] your friends, they're going to be right behind you throughout this cuz you have a real chance here. >> Yeah. >> We're going to start the vote. I'm going to
say yes. [music] [cheering and screaming] [applause] >> I'm saying yes. [cheering] >> I'm going to give you a chance, baby. It's a yes from me. >> [cheering] >> It's a yes from me. Well done. [cheering] [music] >> [music and singing] >> Uh, Janna. My name is [music] Janet Develin. I'm 16 and I'm from Chiron, Northern Ireland. >> How you feeling about this? >> Uh, nervous. >> Bet you are. I can tell you are. >> I'm from a small village called Gorchin. Um, my house is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. Uh, it's pretty bleak.
>> Because of where I live, I do spend [music] a lot of time by myself in my Room reading, writing, and singing. The reason why I'm I haven't really been out singing is probably the lack of confidence and it's it's a lot easier to sing in the house than it is to go out in front of an audience. I've been writing songs and poetry [music] since I was about 7 years old. Just gives you an easy escape to like get your thoughts out of your head so [music] they stop bugging you. >> All right, sweetheart.
Good luck. Go [cheering] on. >> This competition is such a huge contrast and do anything I've [music] ever done before. The fact that I've been able to fly over here and do this audition is it's huge. It's it could be lifechanging [music] potentially and I hope it is. So nervous I can't even put on words how nervous I am side stage. I don't think I'm going to be able to breathe. [music] >> Hi there. How you doing? Uh, I'm good. Yeah. >> Yeah. What's your name? >> My name is Janet Davlin. >> Janet. How old
are you, Janet? >> I am 16. >> 16. Wow. >> Janet, where are you from? >> I'm from Northern Ireland. >> Northern Ireland. Whereabouts? >> Uh, a place called Tron. Chron. It's pretty small town. Don't even live in the town. I live in the blatant Countryside. So, >> Okay. Okay. >> There's not that much you can do. >> Okay. Is this a big dream for you being on the X Factor? >> It's feels like a dream. It feels like I haven't even woken up yet. Even just being right here and there's so many people. It's
like, wo. [cheering] [applause] >> Okay. And what are you going to sing for us today? >> Uh, your song Bell and John. >> Okay. Wow. >> Good luck, Janet. >> Good luck, everyone. [cheering] It's a little bit [music] funny this feeling inside. I'm not [music and singing] one of those who can easily hide. I don't [music] have much money. [singing] But boy, if I [music] did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live. And you can tell everybody [music] this is your song. It may be [singing] quite simple, but [music] now that it's
done, I hope you don't mind. I hope you don't mind that I put down words. How [singing] wonderful [music] life is. Now you're in the world. [cheering] I was a sculptor. But [music] then again, no. Or a girl makes potions [music] in a traveling show. I know it's not much, but it's the [music] best I can do. My gift is my song. And this one's for you. And you can tell everybody [music] this is your song. It may be quite simple, but now [music] that it's done, I hope you don't mind. I hope you don't
mind. Now I put down words. How wonderful life is. Now you're in the world. >> [screaming] [cheering] [cheering] >> Heat [applause] up [cheering] here. >> [cheering] [cheering and applause] >> Wow, Kelly. [music] Oh my goodness. I am completely just in a trance by your voice. It is so beautiful. You could have heard a pin drop in here. It was so silent because you came in here, you were nervous, and she's like, "Hello, it makes me love you even more. You are such a star. What a wonderful audition." [applause] >> Janet, I love the fact that
you're so shy. So endearing. That is a recording vocal. Janet, I don't think you have any idea how good you are. And that's what I like most about you. [applause] >> You're only 16 and you've got this very distinctive voice and you're so likable and you're from Ireland. >> Oh yeah. Thank [music] >> J. All the time when we're looking for These artists, we're trying to find people who will eventually sell records, [music] sell albums around the world, not just in the UK, but everywhere. And you are one of those people. It was such a
fantastic audition. And I think we're going to vote now. Louie, >> Janet Develin, massive yes. >> [applause and music] >> Janet, I was absolutely mesmerized by you today. It's a yes from me. [applause] >> Janet, congratulations once again, mama. You blew us away. Absolutely. Yes. [cheering and screaming] [music] >> Janet Develin from Northern Ireland. Four yeses. Congratulations. [cheering] [music] [music] I hope you don't mind that I put down. [music] [cheering] >> Hello, young man. >> How you doing? >> And what's your name, please? >> Um, my name is Jol. >> And And where you from?
>> I'm from East London. [screaming] >> Cool. [cheering] >> How old are you, Jol? I'm 25 years old. >> Okay. Tell me what the song you've chosen to sing today is and why. >> The song is a song I wrote called Bullet in My Heart and um it was the only song I wrote throughout the whole year in 2015. >> And uh why X Factor this year, please? >> Um I suddenly lost my mom in 2015. I've always been terrified to do this show, but I was going through textes and I remember my mom always
telling me, "You need to do the X Factor. You need to do the X Factor." And I always said, "No." We had a couple arguments about it. And um reading that text, I was just like, "You know what? I want to finally tick off something she's told me to do." And um [cheering] I just want to inspire someone else. And I hope I inspire people. [applause] >> What was your mother's name? >> Victoria. >> Victoria. Okay, let's do this. Victoria. [cheering] [applause] [music] Where are you now? [music] We've lost our way somehow. Been waiting all
this time. Yeah. I'm thinking you will [singing] come around [music] cuz you're like [music and singing] a wood in my heart and it's spread into [singing] my [music] soul. Cuz you're like a bart won't let it take control. Can somebody help [music] me? Cuz I'm not [singing] doing well. Every morning I get up, I wake up with a broken heart. Can somebody help me [music] tonight and tell them [singing] I love and I'm about to selfless if my tomorrow never goes [music] I would [music] let me way. I would [music] [music] >> [cheering] [cheering] [cheering]
[music] [cheering and screaming] >> I was moving my little smile as Amazing. Well done, bro. [cheering] [music] [music] J, your voice, [cheering] your soul, your passion. Incredible. >> [screaming] >> I feel you so much. [cheering] Thank you, >> Jay Saul. In 2014, I lost my father very unexpectedly. And I'll never forget how The world swallowed me up on that day when I found out. [cheering] And I just want to thank you cuz that was a beautiful song and a powerful song. And I know your mom be really proud of you. Thank you. Thank you so
much. [music] Um that is the power of music is that you can write such a beautiful song that has touched us all on this panel. Um it was it was absolutely brilliant. It was moving. You're a legend for what you've Just done. Thank you. [cheering] >> Wow. J. So, I I understand how difficult that would have been to perform that, but you did. And um it was an amazing audition. You have an amazing voice. [cheering] Um this is something we're all going to remember. I just have to kick this off with the first Yes. [music]
>> Thank you so much for sharing that with Us. It's a yes. [music] That was amazing song and it's a yes from me. >> Thank you. [music] >> It's a yes for me. Thank you so much. [music] [cheering] >> [music] >> I taught my mom every day, my dad, you're the same. >> Literally, >> you learn that, right? Every decision you want to make, you always talk to them. >> You got [music] some inspiration. I'm glad that you came on the show. Thank you very much. See you later. Name >> is James Arthur. I'm 24.
I'm from Salt Burn near Middlesbrough. Uh, I live in a flat. >> It isn't the rits. [music] It's more like a bed suit than a flat. >> And you got family with you here? >> Mom, >> family, friends. >> I love the [music] way before we [laughter] finish the sentence. I'm his mom. [screaming] >> Very proud. >> Really? No. >> No joking. Okay. Dad. >> There we go. [laughter] >> My mom and dad split up when I was really young. The difficult thing for me Was the fact that my mom and my dad didn't have
any sort of relationship for my entire life. I went [music] off the rails, especially at school. I used to get, you know, suspended, thrown out. I ended up like sleeping on sleeping rough sometimes. So, I volunteered myself into foster care. I didn't want to be involved in any of the arguing anymore. I just wanted to get away. So, initially, music was a [music] coping mechanism. There's there's times when I've listened to um some of his music um and [music] the lyrics are so um there's some deep stuff in there, you know, and there's times I
I feel, you [music] know, have I done enough? Did I do enough? >> One day I had to just go stop behaving like a child and grow up. He put a lot of his feelings and his Emotions and his anxieties [music] into his music. I'm >> nervous. >> Yeah, I'm pretty I'm pretty nervous. Yeah. >> Today is the first time my mom and dad have been together in uh 22 years. >> We all decided um [music] prior to coming today that regardless of whatever has gone before, we would just move forward. And today [music] really
it's been James that's brought both sides of The family together. >> All right, James, we're gonna go through onto stage. Do you want to grab everyone? >> All right, guys. We ready? Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Fantastic. Follow [music] me. >> Uh Tisa, >> sorry. It's a no from me. >> 4. >> Thank you. >> No. No. >> Yeah. today could change everything. And I hope that I can really [music] like set myself free from any worry and and do the best that I can possibly do >> in 3 [cheering] 2 1. >> Hello. Hello. >>
Hello. [cheering] [applause] >> What's your name? >> I'm James Arthur. >> James Arthur. [cheering] >> Where are you from, James Arthur? >> I'm from Middlesbrough. >> [cheering] >> And how old are you? >> I'm 24. >> Do you have anyone with you here today? >> I have a lot of my family here today. [cheering] >> In fact, my mom and dad, who don't speak normally, are speaking for the first time today, which is great. [screaming] [cheering] >> So, yeah. >> So, they're here. They came together to support you. >> Uh-huh. >> So, they must really
believe in you. >> Yeah, I guess so. Yeah. Well, what are you going to sing for us today? >> I'm actually going to sing Tisa's song, but it's my own version of the song. >> Um, I'm going to play my acoustic guitar if that's okay. >> Yeah, that's all right. >> Have you heard an acoustic version yet? T, have you heard anyone do one yet? >> No, I've heard [cheering] you. Okay. [music] I said forgive us for what [singing and music] we have done. We're way young. We're way young. [music] I said forgive us for
what we have done. Oh [singing] Yeah. Yeah. I made a lot of mistakes in my [music] past, but I refuse to live there. Nah. I saw a lot of hearts break in the past, but I refuse to go there. Ah, it hurts too much. I'm looking for a crutch. I'm looking for just any girl just for a touch. I let my angst out. I let myself go. [music] And when I let myself down, I swag it out. H. Baby girl, I'd like to dance. H, but I'm just looking for a brief romance. What's Wrong with
that? I'm young. Forgive me. I live fast. I a legend. Oh, [music] no. [music and singing] Oh, Lord. Forgive us for what we have [singing] done. [cheering] Oh, we're young. We're way young. We're young. I s forgive us for what we have done. Cuz we're young. We're young. We're young. Oh, we're young. [music] Oh [singing] yeah. Oh yeah. Where [music] you [singing] Where you Where you Where you [music] Where you Where you? [cheering] [music] >> [cheering] >> Heat. Heat. [cheering] [music] >> [cheering] [applause] >> J, when you're up there, I just see you [screaming] just
get lost in that world and it's just you, the microphone, the guitar. Best audition of the day. [cheering] Okay, James, we sit here all day and we watch lots and lots [music] of people stand on this stage and 99% of those people I sit there and go, "Okay, we [music] need to change this. We need to do that. They need to try this." If anyone dares touch [music] what you do because it's so [cheering] good. >> You should be very proud today. [music] That was a fantastic audition. Well done, >> James. You're a real original
and I think from today on your life is totally going to change. Well, teams, [cheering] >> now I see why your mom and your dad put their differences aside. [music] I came on this show and people are like, "Why do you come on the show?" And I said, "I'm [music] looking for an artist to inspire me." And that's exactly what you did today was you inspired me. And that's because you [music] sat on that stage and you bared your soul to us. [cheering] Thank you so much. It means everything to me. Means the absolute world
to me. Thank you. >> Okay, let's go to a vote. Gary >> James, it's a yes from me. [cheering] >> It is a massive yes for me, >> James. This is just the beginning. Yes. Thank you, >> James. Rightfully so. You have four yeses. [music] [music] That was amazing. >> Overwhelmed right now. I'm I'm unbelievably overwhelmed right now. I can't tell you how how good it feels. >> My son's an IA dance track and he's turned it into that. That was brilliant. That's why I said I want to write a song. Just see what he
does with it. >> [laughter] >> I'm Ella [music] Henderson. I'm 16 years old and I'm from Tetany in Lincolnshire. Today I'm going to be singing a song that I've written myself. I've been writing [music] my own songs since the age of 13. My granddad, [music] Bill, he was the reason why I'm into singing. I did used to sing to him all the time. I used to Put on like little shows for him in the living room all the time. It was just something that really really made me happy and put a smile on my face.
[laughter] The song I'm singing is a personal song to me. [music] It was a way of me saying goodbye to my granddad. >> And don't cry as we'll all start crying. >> Do it for grandad. >> We're going to cry. >> Don't start us off. >> It's [music] really nerve-wracking knowing that I'm singing my own song. >> Wish you luck. >> Okay. Come on. >> And it is like putting your diary out to the world. There's somebody in there singing way out of tune. Maybe it was a [music] song choice, but for me it just
didn't come together. It's a no from me. >> It's really [music] scary. But my granddad always told me, "Don't let anybody stand in your way. And if you Want to sing it, don't let anybody stop you." [music] [cheering] >> Hello. Hi. What's your name? >> Ella. Where you from? I'm from Lincolnshire. >> And how old are you? >> I'm 16. >> And tell me some things about yourself. Are you in school still or? >> Yeah, I'm still in school. I'm midway through my GCSEs. >> Okay. >> Um, I've always loved music from a young age.
That's all I've ever wanted to do. >> Good. >> And what are you going to sing for us today? >> I'm into songwriting. It's a song I wrote myself. >> Take it away. You [music] think you're missed?
