Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Roger was reborn in Luffy's era? Would he join Luffy's crew and help them out, or would his presence make everything much worse? So, the story would begin during Roger's execution.
Just like in the original story, the blades would enter his body on the execution platform, and everyone would assume that was the end of the pirate king. However, in the very next moment, [music] Roger would mysteriously open his eyes again. As he looks around, he would quickly realize that he is still in Log Town, except everything about it would feel different.
After approaching a few nearby people to ask what's going on, he would notice that nobody recognizes him. Looking down at his own body, Roger would be shocked to discover that he had somehow returned to the young prime version of himself. Roger would then head into town, make his way to his favorite bar, and order a drink.
The bartender would immediately notice something familiar about him, but he wouldn't be able to figure out what exactly it was. While waiting for his drink, Roger would flip through a newspaper that somebody had left behind. [music] The moment he starts reading, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from bursting into laughter.
His plan to start the great pirate era with his own death had worked perfectly. At that exact moment, a young boy wearing a familiar straw hat would burst through the door, just like in the original story. Roger would immediately notice the hat and realize that it looks almost identical to the one he had given his apprentice, Shanks.
Curious about how Luffy had gotten his hands on it, Roger would decide to follow him out of the bar and toward the execution platform. He would then watch Luffy climb onto the platform, just like in the main story. Knowing exactly how reckless that is, Roger wouldn't be able to help but respect Luffy for being brave enough to do something like [music] that.
However, his smile would quickly disappear when Buggy captures him. Roger would watch Luffy's crew mates attempt to rescue him, but he would assume that the kid is finished and begin walking away. At that moment, however, he would hear Luffy accept his death with a smile.
Roger would then turn around just in time to witness a lightning bolt strike everyone on the platform. Realizing that Destiny is on Luffy's side, Roger would begin laughing once again before approaching Luffy's crew mates. He would warn them that the Marines are coming and tell them that he can help them escape quickly.
Sanji and Zoro wouldn't trust a complete stranger at first. But once Marine soldiers started pouring into the area, they would decide to listen and follow Marger. As they all run toward the Going Merry, a motorcycle would suddenly appear in their path.
Getting off the bike, Smoker would demand that everyone surrender, but Luffy would just attack him without thinking. Once Luffy is beaten down, Roger would realize that Smoker is most likely a Loia user. He would then tell the rest of the Straw Hats to keep running and leave him and Luffy to deal with him.
With the crew gone and Luffy nearly unconscious, Roger would realize that this is the perfect opportunity to test his true strength without anyone watching. So, he would casually walk up to Smoker, place his hands on the captain's shoulders, and send him flying through a nearby wall with a simple flick. Roger would burst into laughter once again after realizing that he still possesses the same strength he had before his death.
He would then help Luffy back to his feet and escort him to the ship. After this interaction, Luffy would suspect that Roger is incredibly strong. Since he's always searching for powerful crew mates, he would immediately ask Roger to join his crew.
Intrigued by Luffy and having nothing else to do, Roger would gladly accept. Besides, he'd need a ride back to the Grand Line anyway if he wants to search for his former crew mates. As they approached the reverse mountain, Luffy would finally ask Roger for his name.
This would immediately infuriate the rest of the crew since Luffy had invited a completely random man to join them without even knowing who he was. Not wanting to reveal his true identity just yet, Roger would simply tell them that his name was D. Even though Roger would be a little older than the rest of the crew mates, he would still fit in incredibly well because of his cheerful and childish personality.
As they near the mountain, Roger would explain his reverse sea currents instead of Nami in this timeline. He would also challenge the crew's resolve by warning them the Grand Line is extremely dangerous. After seeing Luffy become even more excited by the danger, Roger would feel confident that he had chosen the right kid to follow.
As everyone places a foot on the barrel and declares their dream, Roger would announce that his dream is to find his old friends. Eventually, the crew would reach the other side of the mountain and encounter Leaboon. While the others would be afraid of anchoring the massive whale, Luffy would immediately punch Leon, causing Roger to laugh uncontrollably as everyone gets swallowed.
Inside the whale, the crew would meet Crocus, and Roger would be shocked that he had managed to find one of his old crew mates so easily. Of course, Roger being Roger, he would immediately begin talking to Crocus and attempt to convince him that he is the same Roger from all those years ago. However, Crocus obviously wouldn't believe him.
While the rest of the crew deals with the Baroque work situation, Roger would stay behind and help Crocus take care of Leoon. The arc would then continue in roughly the same way until Vivv is captured. With Vivv and Mr 9 tied up, Roger would offer to calm Leoon down since he knows that using a little hockey might do the trick.
However, Luffy would choose to handle the situation in his own way. Before leaving, Roger would apologize to Crocus for leaving him and the rest of the Roger pirates so soon. He would even jokingly tease Crocus, saying that if he had been a better doctor, he might have been able to find a cure for him.
This would leave Crocus completely stunned since almost nobody knew about Roger's illness before his death. However, before Crocus could say anything, the Straw Hats would already be long gone. From here, the Whiskey Peak arc would play out in almost the same way.
Much like Luffy, Roger would fall straight into the bounty hunter's trap and pass out after drinking far too much. When he wakes up the next morning, Roger would have no idea what had happened, but he would be shocked to learn that Vivie is actually the princess of Alabasta. Of course, he would support Luffy's decision to help her save her kingdom, and the crew would soon begin heading there.
When Robin eventually appears, Roger would be the first person on the ship to react, placing a sword against her neck the moment she shows herself. Caught completely off guard, Robin would freeze in place after sensing Roger's overwhelming aura. However, Roger would simply burst into laughter and lower his sword, saying that he has no intention of hurting a woman.
Robin would use this opportunity to escape immediately while the crew continues to ward Little Garden. At Little Garden, Roger would be one of the first to leave the ship alongside Luffy, and the two of them would soon meet the giants. Remembering Dory and Broie from many years ago, Roger would be surprised to see that their duel is still going.
He would then watch the giants clash while explaining to the crew how important their duel is to them. However, when the battle gets interrupted by Baroque Works, Roger would quickly become furious. As he searches for the person responsible, Mr 3 would attempt to ambush him.
Roger would swat away the wax with his bare hands before unleashing his signature divine departure attack, causing the entire island to shake. However, at the last moment, he would hold back slightly so that he doesn't actually kill Mr 3. Meanwhile, Zoro would deal with Miss Valentine and Mr 5, while Miss Golden Week would simply run away after sensing Roger's aura.
With everything taken care of, the crew would celebrate with the giants while waiting for the log pose to reset. Just before the crew leaves, Dory and Broie would speak with Roger about how he seems far more powerful than the rest of his crew. They would even mention that he reminded them of someone they knew a long time ago.
Pretending not to understand what they mean, Roger would simply tell them that they had probably mistaken him for someone else. Not long afterward, Nami would fall ill, just like in the original timeline. This time, Roger would suggest the crew head toward the nearby Drm Island, knowing that it had once been famous for having some of the best doctors in the world.
From there, the arc would play out in almost the same way, with Roger mostly observing how Luffy and the others handle the situation. Once Nami is healed and Chopper joins the crew, the Straw Hats would finally continue to ward Alabasta. And this is where the story gets super interesting because this is where Roger would finally meet his son, Ace.
So, how would their first meeting play out? Well, as soon as Roger meets Ace, he would feel as though he is looking at a younger version of himself, although he wouldn't immediately understand why. Ace would also comment on how strangely similar the two of them are.
Luffy would then explain that this was one of the reasons he wanted Roger to join the crew in the first place, since he reminded him so much of Ace. Eventually during their conversation, Luffy would call Ace by his full name for the first time. At that moment, everything would suddenly click for Roger, and he would realize that the young man standing in front of him is actually his son.
Unsure of what to say, Roger would become unusually nervous and ask Ace what he thought about his father. When Ace refuses to answer, Luffy would tell Roger that Ace hates his father and that he should stop asking such questions. Roger would immediately feel an overwhelming sense of guilt as he realized that Ace never had the chance to live a normal life because of his bloodline.
Watching Ace starting to leave, Roger would desperately want to say something to him. However, he would ultimately remain silent, fearing that revealing the truth would only make Ace's life even more difficult than it already was. Soon enough, the crew would reach Rain Base, where almost all of them would fall into Crocodile's trap.
The only exception would be Roger, who would avoid it by using Future Sight. While the crew is trapped, Robin would mention to Crocodile that the most dangerous pirate among them is still free and wandering around the casino just as she finishes speaking. Roger would casually walk into the room, shocking both Crocodile and Robin.
Crocodile would immediately attack Roger with his sand abilities, but none of his attacks would be able to harm him. Roger would then casually walk over to Luffy's cell and tear it apart with his bare hands. As Crocodile flees, Roger would let Luffy chase after him while he escorts Vive to the palace.
Once there, Roger would use Future Sight again to locate the bomb and quickly disarm it. After the situation is under control, Roger would decide to check on Luffy, which would lead him into the secret cavern containing the pornoglyph. He would arrive just in time to save Robin and Cobra, learning that Crocodile had betrayed Robin immediately after she read the pornoglyph for him.
Roger would then watch Crocodile erupt from beneath the ground before being launched into the sky by Luffy's punches. This would cause Roger to burst into laughter, impressed that Luffy managed to defeat such a powerful opponent on his own. Once everything is over, the crew would spend several days recovering at the royal palace.
During this time, Roger would meet with Robin several times and attempt to convince her to join the crew. He would do this because he knows that the Straw Hats would eventually need someone capable of reading the ponyoglyphs if they ever hoped to reach Lattail. Robin would be extremely suspicious of Roger and believe that he knows far too much about the world and its true history.
However, Roger would simply smile and tell her that everything will make sense eventually. With that, Roger would successfully convince Robin to join the crew, and Luffy would naturally accept her just as he did in the original story. Soon afterward, the crew would depart for Gaia and witness a massive ship falling from the sky.
Roger would then explain that if they wanted to reach the sky island, they would need to ride the knockup stream. Almost everyone would oppose the idea because of how dangerous it sounds. But Luffy would immediately become excited by it.
At this point, Chopper would ask Roger how he knows so much about everything, which would also peique the interest of the rest of the crew. However, Roger would simply reply that he had traveled a lot during his youth. After writing the knockup stream directly to Skypia, Roger would mostly allow the ark to play out as usual, leaving Luffy to deal with Enel himself.
Once Anell is defeated, Roger and Nami would agree that they should take as much gold from Shandor as possible. During the celebrations, Roger would watch Luffy dance beside the campfire and briefly catch a glimpse of Na within him. This would be the exact moment Roger realized that Luffy is the person the world had been waiting for and the one destined to bring an end to the world government.
After returning from Skypia, Roger would encourage Luffy to participate in Foxy's Davyback fight. He'd feel nostalgic about the DVback fights he had participated in during his younger days and would want to test his skills again. This time, the Straw Hats would easily win the competition with Roger frightening Foxy so much that he wouldn't even attempt to cheat.
After winning every round and leaving Foxy behind, the crew would soon encounter Admiral Aiji. The moment Roger senses Akiji's strength, he would tell Luffy and the others to stand down. Roger would then release a sharp burst of Conqueror's hockey, completely shocking the admiral.
After blocking several of Aiji's ice attacks, Roger would eventually force him to back down. Before leaving, Aokiji would warn Luffy to be careful around both Robin and Roger. Completely amazed by Roger's strength, the crew would ask him about the mysterious power he used against the admiral.
So, Roger would explain the basic concept of hockey and offer to train them once the time is right. With the Going Mary in desperate need of repairs, Roger would suggest the crew [music] travel toward Water 7 since he knows someone there who might be able to repair their ship. The journey would go smoothly until the sea train nearly runs them over.
Roger would be just as surprised as everyone else since this would be his first time seeing the train. After arriving at a nearby station, Roger would recognize Granny Kokuro from the time he first met Tom. He would ask her about Tom's whereabouts and become deeply saddened after learning what happened to him.
Feeling guilty over Tom's fate, Roger would become so depressed that he wouldn't even leave the ship, allowing the crew to explore Water 7 without him. As the arc continues, Roger would eventually learn what happened to Robin and hear the devastating news about the Going Mary alongside everyone else. He would also be the one to suggest that Luffy and Usopp settle their disagreement over the ship through a fight.
Roger would come to deeply respect Luffy's difficult decision to let the ship go, as well as Usopp's determination to fight for it. From there, the arc would progress similarly to the original story until the crew confronts CP9. After seeing Luffy and Zoro begin to lose their battles, Roger would finally decide to intervene.
With only a few quick slashes, he would easily defeat every member of CP9 without breaking a sweat. However, he would intentionally allow the agents to land a few attacks on him so that he wouldn't completely reveal how powerful he truly was. After seeing how desperately the Straw Hats fought to bring her back, Robin would burst into tears and officially return to the crew.
Roger would then find Usopp and convince him to return, too. Now, since Roger helped save Iceberg's life, Frankie would eventually meet with him to personally thank him. He would even offer to build the crew a new ship for free.
After learning that Frankie was Tom's disciple, Roger would reveal that he knew Tom many years ago and ask Frankie to come with them. Luffy would immediately support the idea and Frankie would officially join the crew. Several days later, while the crew recovers, Garp would arrive to visit them, sending shivers down Roger's spine.
Roger would be just as shocked as everyone else to learn that Luffy is Garp's grandson, and he would finally understand why the kid is so talented. Roger would quickly slip away before Garp notices him and would wait outside until the vice admiral leaves. While hiding nearby, Roger would encounter Helmeo and Kobe.
After observing Kobe for only a short time, he would quickly recognize the young Marine's potential to eventually become Garp's successor. After finishing his conversation with Luffy, Garp would begin to leave. However, at that moment, he would notice Roger hiding outside.
Sensing the terrifying aura coming from him, Garp would ask Luffy who this man is. Luffy would casually reply that he is simply one of the crews he met during his journey. After thinking for a moment, Garp would tell Luffy that he is free to leave, but that he would have to capture his friend.
Luffy would obviously refuse, but it wouldn't matter because in the very next moment, Garp and Roger would suddenly clash fists. Their combined hockey would send shock waves throughout the area, shaking the entire island. The battle would quickly become serious.
And as Roger begins smiling, Garp would briefly see a glimpse of the man he had fought all those years ago. While keeping Garp occupied, Roger would yell at the others to prepare the ship as quickly as possible. The crew would desperately search for a ship they could use until Frankie finally reveals the Thousand Sunny.
Everyone would quickly board and Roger would jump onto the ship at the last possible moment, leaving Garp standing on the shore. As the crew prepares to use the Cuda burst to escape, Roger would walk onto the deck and stand at the edge of the ship. Raising his sword high, he would release a powerful wave of his true conqueror's hockey and commend Garp for still being pretty strong even after all these years.
Although Garp would be completely shocked, deep down he would know that this truly is the same Roger he fought in the past. Because of this, Garp would decide to plan his next move carefully and return to the Marine base for the time being. Meanwhile, the crew would soon enter the thick fog of the Florian Triangle.
Roger would warn them to remain alert, explaining that ships often disappear in this area for unknown reasons. Soon, they would encounter the ghost ship belonging to the Rumbar Pirates. After meeting Brooke, Roger would quickly become friends with him since they are both pirates from a previous era.
Sensing that their enemies on Thriller Bark aren't particularly strong, Roger would decide that this is the perfect place for the crew to train and become stronger. So he would begin teaching them the basics of hockey while using Moria's lackeyis as training demos. From there, the arc would play out similarly to the original story.
Roger would even help defeat ORS without Luffy needing to transform into Nightmare Luffy. Once Moria is defeated, Kuma would appear and Roger would be the one to confront him. After sensing Roger's power, Kuma would immediately attack, but he wouldn't be able to phase the former pirate king.
Attempting to use the popoff route to separate Roger from the rest of the crew wouldn't work either since Roger's superior hockey would protect him. Unable to accomplish anything, Kuma would eventually back down and leave the island. The following morning, Roger would celebrate with the rest of the crew.
He would also be pleasantly surprised to learn that Brooke is the final surviving member of the Rumbar Pirates, the same crew Crocus had been looking for all those years. Leaving Thriller Bark far stronger because of Roger's training, the crew would eventually reach Bowouty to have their ship coded. Upon entering Shocki's bar, Roger's jaw would drop the moment he sees her inside.
He would immediately begin blushing and find it increasingly difficult to keep his identity hidden. After hearing that suddenly disappeared not long ago, Roger would [music] confidently tell everyone that he knows exactly where to find him. He would then lead the crew straight toward the amusement park.
Yeah, Roger was never one of the smartest pirates around. After realizing how foolish his idea was, Roger would become slightly embarrassed and apologize to the crew. The ark would then continue mostly as normal with Cammy being kidnapped and the crew entering the human auctioning house.
Roger would initially play along with the rest of the crew and wait for Tommy to appear, but he would notice Luffy becoming increasingly furious. Eventually, Luffy would act exactly as he did in the original story and punch St. Carlos directly in the face.
This would cause Roger to burst into laughter. He would then casually walk over to Kami and remove the explosive collar from her neck using hockey. As steps out from the shadows, Roger would look toward him and apologize for ruining his dramatic entrance.
As moves closer, he would slowly realize that he is staring at a younger version of his former captain. Memories would begin flooding back, causing eyes to fill with tears. He would grab Roger and demand an explanation for how he is still alive.
As the two of them catch up and laugh together, the rest of the Straw Hats would watch in complete confusion. Roger would then introduce to his new crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. Surprised by the situation, would comment that Shanks chose a very interesting young man to inherit the Straw Hat.
Nami would then interrupt everyone and tell them to save their reunion for later since they still need to escape. Finally taking the situation seriously, Roger and would begin escorting the Straw Hats back toward the bar. Before they could reach it, however, they would suddenly run into Kuma, Gizaru, and Garp.
You see, after Roger escaped from Water 7, Garp decided to follow the Straw Hats to Sabowati. so that he could capture Roger before the former pirate king could cause even more problems. So, Roger and would engage Garp and Kazaru while the Straw Hats would be ambushed by Kuma.
Just like in the original story, Kuma would easily defeat the crew and teleport each of them away from the island. Roger would become furious after watching his new crew mates disappear, but Kuma would secretly inform him that they are safe. After hearing this, Roger would feel relieved and finally decide to fight without holding back.
Since Roger is far younger than Garp in this scenario, he would eventually manage to defeat the hero of the Marines with his divine departure attack before helping deal with Gazari. With both marines defeated, Roger and would quickly return to collect Shocki. Since staying on Sabowatti is now far too dangerous, all three of them would board the Sunny together.
Shocki would then suggest that they travel to Amazon Lily where they would remain safe for the time being. Conveniently, they would also discover that Luffy had been sent there as well. After letting Luffy know that his crew is safe, would try to cheer him up while Roger remains busy augling the women on the island, would convince Luffy that he should focus on training instead of immediately searching for his crew, and Luffy would agree.
However, [music] Roger would refuse to train Luffy personally, explaining that he mostly relies on instinct during his battles and wouldn't make a very good teacher. So, just like in the original story, would be the one to train Luffy. While staying on the island, Roger would meet Gloriosa again and would be shocked by how old she looks now.
However, he would immediately shift his attention toward Boa Hancock. After receiving a cane to the head, Roger would begin apologizing before noticing the newspaper on Gloriosa's stand. After reading the news, he would be horrified to learn that Ace was captured by the Marines.
Roger would immediately prepare to rescue him while telling Luffy and to continue their training. Before leaving, he would ask Gloriosa, and Hancock to keep the news to themselves so that Luffy wouldn't try to follow him. Soon, Roger would reach impelled down and easily enter the prison with Boa's help.
As he moves from floor to floor, he would effortlessly defeat every guard in the prison, including Mellin. Since all of the admirals would already be at Marine for preparing for the war, there would be almost nobody capable of stopping him. Roger would simply continue creating more and more chaos throughout the prison.
After finally taking the keys from Hanubal, he would enter the lower levels only to discover that Ace isn't there. Jinbe would then explain that Ace was never here to begin with. This is because Garp ordered him to be transferred directly to Marine Ford because he feared that Roger might attempt something like this.
As thanks for the information, Roger would free Jimbe and ask him to come along and help him reach Marine Fort. With the entire prison thrown into a rioting frenzy, Roger would lead an army of prisoners toward the gates of justice. Covering his fists in advanced conquerors hockey, he would completely shatter the gates just as Rox once did.
Eventually, Roger would arrive at Marine Ford and see his son waiting on the execution platform. Overcome with rage, he would immediately target Garp. The two rivals would soon begin another legendary battle while arguing with each other at the same time.
Roger would yell at Garp for breaking his promise, while Garp would respond that Ace had chosen his own fate. Their clash would shake the entire island, forcing the Marines to evacuate from the area surrounding them. Meanwhile, Whitebeard would watch the battle in disbelief and realize that the rumors about Roger's return might actually be true.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Akynu would call out to Roger before launching a magma fist directly toward Ace. However, Marco would intercept the attack just in time. Roger would eventually overpower his old rival once again and knock Garf unconscious for the remainder of the war.
Whitebeard would then leak from his ship and clash blades directly with Roger, splitting the sky above them. After smiling at Roger, Whitebeard would lower his weapon and explain that he only wanted to confirm whether it was really him. Whitebeard would then point out that they have the same goal and the two legendary pirates would agree to fight together.
As Aokiji and Kazaru approach, Whitebeard would tell Roger to go and rescue his son while he and his crew hold the admiral's back. Thanking his old friend, Roger would move closer to the execution platform, only for Akynu to intercept him with another magma attack. Roger would easily withstand the blow before unleashing divine departure and sending the admiral crashing into Marine Ford's headquarters.
The impact would even cause the entire building to collapse on top of him. After all, this is the pirate king in his prime we're talking about here. So defeating poor Akynu this easily wouldn't really be surprising.
With Akynu defeated, Sen Goku would finally order the warlords to intervene. However, most of them would simply refuse, knowing that they stand no chance against Roger. Furious, Sen Goku would scream Roger's name and transform into his Buddha form before attacking him personally.
However, just like Garp, Sang Goku is now far too old to hold back a monster like Roger. And because of this, he would also be defeated relatively quickly. In the end, the Marine Ford war would become a complete and humiliating defeat for the Marines.
After watching Roger destroy everything in his path, Blackbeard would also decide to leave early, not wanting to get caught in the pirate king's rampage. And yes, this would also mean that Whitebeard would survive in this timeline. Soon enough, Roger would finally free Ace from his shackles.
With no reason to hide the truth any longer, Roger would reveal that he is Ace's real father. Ace would initially be furious hearing this, but his anger would quickly fade after remembering everything Roger did to save him. Roger would apologize for not revealing the truth when they met in Alabasta, explaining that he didn't want to make Ace's life even more complicated with tears in his eyes.
Ace would silently embrace his father. However, instead of asking Ace to come with him, Roger would tell him to return to the Whitebeard pirates. He would explain that they are Ace's true family and have always been there for him when Roger couldn't be.
Roger would then say goodbye and tell Ace that he hoped they would meet again soon. As Roger prepares to leave, the red-haired pirates would finally arrive on the shore. Roger would immediately recognize his former apprentice and burst into laughter, praising Shanks for becoming one of the four emperors.
Shanks would be left completely speechless by the sight of his former captain standing in front of him. But before he can say anything, Roger would jump aboard his ship and tell him to bring out his best booze so that they can catch up. After learning everything about Roger's return, Shanks would laugh hysterically and suggest that it must be fate that Roger met Luffy and joined his crew.
After spending the next few days catching up, the Redhaired Pirates would eventually drop Roger off at Amazon Lily. Upon returning, Roger would give Luffy the good news about Ace. However, Luffy would immediately punch him in the face for hiding such important information.
Annoyed by Luffy's reaction, Roger would release a burst of hockey and push him backward. He would then explain that Luffy is still far too weak and would only slow him down if he came along. Realizing that Roger is right, Luffy would apologize and thank him for saving his brother.
He would then immediately return to his training, promising to become strong enough to protect everyone he cares about. With that, the time skip would continue, much like in the original story, with every member of the crew growing stronger over the next two years. Roger would also occasionally offer to be Luffy's training partner, which would cause Luffy to become significantly stronger than he was in the original timeline.
Eventually, two years would pass with Roger and turning Luffy into an unstoppable powerhouse. After returning to Sabowi, would reopen the bar with Shocki while Roger and the rest of the crew head toward Fishman Island. Since Whitebeard would still be alive and protecting the island, the overall situation would be far more peaceful with Hodi and Vanderkin not even attempting to make a move.
With no major conflict to deal with, the crew would simply explore the island while Roger catches up with King Neptune and reveals his true identity to him. Roger would laugh after learning that Shiroshi had been born just as the prophecy predicted. He would then tell Neptune that his daughter and the young man he brought with him would be the ones to change the world.
After hearing this, Neptune would celebrate by drinking with Roger until morning. The following day, the crew would continue their journey and finally enter the new world. However, this is where something unexpected would happen.
Without warning, Roger would approach Luffy and ask to speak with him privately. He would then request permission to temporarily leave the Straw Hat Pirates so that he could take care of some personal matters. Luffy would allow Roger to leave, but he would make him promise that he would eventually return.
So, why would Roger suddenly do something like this? Well, you see, Roger would want Luffy to develop his abilities naturally and become stronger on his own. If Roger continues traveling with the crew throughout the entire New World, Luffy would never struggle against a flamingo, have his iconic battle with Katakuri, or awaken Gear Fifth against Kaido.
Knowing that destiny is on Luffy's side, Roger would feel comfortable allowing him to continue the journey without his help. From there, Roger would spend the next two months traveling around the world in search of the remaining members of his former crew. Since already told him where some of them are, Roger would be able to find them relatively quickly.
After discovering that most of them retired and started families of their own, Roger would find comfort in knowing that they continued to live happy lives after his death. His journey would take him all the way back through paradise to meet Crocus before eventually leading him to Elbof to meet Gabon. Throughout his entire trip, Roger's main goal would be to figure out what he and his former crew could do to support Luffy, the second coming of Joy Boy.
While speaking with his old crewmates, Roger would also be devastated to learn that Odin died while protecting his country from Kaido and would feel partly responsible for not being there to help him. Then one morning, Roger would wake up and begin reading the newspaper only to spill his coffee and burst into uncontrollable laughter. The front page would reveal that both Kaido and Big Mom were defeated and that Luffy became one of the four emperors of the sea.
Most importantly, Roger would be thrilled to see Luffy's new bounty poster. He would then declare that the time has finally come for him to meet the new Joy Boy. Realizing that the Straw Hat's next destination would likely be Egghehead Island, Roger would head there immediately to intercept them.
However, while approaching Egghehead, he would sense an ominous presence coming from the island. Roger would hurry toward it and arrive just in time to see Luffy and the rest of the crew struggling against the five elders. He would immediately jump into the fight, parry several attacks, and slash Saturn across the body.
Because of Roger's overwhelming hockey, Saturn wouldn't be able to regenerate immediately and would be shocked that someone actually managed to injure him. Luffy would smile and thank Roger for returning when they needed him most. From there, Roger would team up with EMTT to hold back the five elders, seriously injuring several of them in the process.
Eventually, EMTT would untangle the knot that carried Joy Boy's hockey in order to snap the elders back to Maroa. laughing loudly. Roger would look toward the sky and ask the elders if they were scared, challenging them to return and fight him.
Of course, Roger would also arrive on Elbof soon afterward and help the crew fight against the Holy Knights and Emu. His presence on the battlefield would surely have a massive effect on the outcome of the ark. However, since the Elbath arc is still ongoing in the manga, this is unfortunately where we'll have to end this video for now, as we simply don't have enough information about Emu's powers and what will happen next.
But if you're still looking for more One Piece content, you can click on this video next where I explain what would have happened if all of the Straw Hats had joined the Marines. Go on, click it.
