[Music] kids division we cannot jump guard or jump on the back in kids division in some adult divisions white and blue belt you cannot jump guard uh and what we're worried about is jumping and leaving the ground with both feet at the same time so if he jumps guard that's what a guard jump looks like right but if he's anchored to me in any way and what I mean by that is I have a grip of one of his LS usually is his legs in this case right so like if I had his leg now
all of his weight isn't flying at me I have some of it control already he's free to jump and close guard and now that is legal so it's different because I'm bearing his weight and I have uh him anchored to me in some way so this means that when anchored a person can attack a submission can do an armar and a triangle and it's not the same as jumping Clos guard with unpredicted weight that is landing on an opponent if I have him anchored for example through holding a single leg Orlando is free to jump
a triangle and lock me into a triangle for example okay so that wouldn't be considered jumping guard because he's anchored to me and he's climbing up you can't have both feet leave the mat at the same time the same thing happens when we're attacking the back he's gotten to my back over here uh kins divisions for example see here kins divisions he can't jump jump jump right so he can't have both hooks he can't have both feet leave the ground at the same time right because we're worried about kids buckling and stuff like this and
unexpected movement so if he has the position and he puts one hook in and then he goes this is different now he's climbing and the weight wasn't so unexpected and I was bearing some of his weight and he was anchored to me so if someone is anchored to their opponent they are able to go for submission to the Head they are able to jump their other leg up and close guard and do those different variations just remember so long as both feet don't leave the ground at the same time
