Today we'll be talking about jobs that are so desperate for workers that they'll hire you on the spot. And by the end of this video, I promise at least one of these is going to be a legit fit for you, if not several of them. Now, some are hands-on, some are 100% remote, some you can do from anywhere.
A few pay well over $100,000 a year. And every single one is open to you without needing a specific college degree or years of experience. And most you can break into in weeks, not years.
This is coming from someone who spent the last decade studying career paths after getting burned by the college system myself. I went over $300,000 in debt to get a doctorate that I barely even use. So, I built a channel that I wish I'd had at 18 years old.
And since then, we've helped people land careers that they actually want with over a thousand verified testimonials from my business partners and I to back it up. So, I know what I'm talking about when I break these down. Now, here's the pattern that I see over and over with people who land these jobs fast.
The smart ones don't chase trends, they chase shortages. Because the second an industry runs out of workers, the power shifts. The employer isn't holding the leverage anymore.
You are. So, a lot of the time shortages or jobs that just a lot of people don't want to do, but they're still really important are going to be your best bet. So, today I'm going to be walking you through exactly where these shortages are, what they really pay, how to get in, and how some people that are already doing these jobs are stacking a second income right on top of them with very little extra work.
Now, real quick, there is a flood of AI slop videos out there listing fake jobs with madeup numbers, and everything in this one is sourced and on the screen because I checked it myself. So, if you appreciate me making this type of content, then let me know by gently cheersing that like button. And let's jump into it right now.
All right. So, first one we're going to talk about is the professional odor tester. And if you know my channel, you know that sometimes I like to start these videos off with kind of a weird or a funny one.
And the reason I like to do that is cuz I want to get the creative juices flowing and just make you realize that there's so many different types of careers out there. So, that's what this one is. And yes, companies will literally pay you to smell things.
armpits, breath, cat litter, deodorant that's supposed to work but might not. And this position is called a professional odor tester or the fancier version is a sensory panelist. And their nose is the entire quality control department.
Now, you might be thinking that this is one of those fake jobs that some blog made up just to fill a list, but it's not. Zip Recruiter has live odor tester jobs hiring right now, and these are actual postings that you can apply to today at the time of making this video. So, think of your nose like a smoke detector.
A cheap one just goes off randomly and you end up ripping the battery out. A calibrated one catches the exact thing that it's supposed to every time with no false alarms. And companies will pay real money for a human smoke detector that's dialed in.
And no, you don't need a chemistry degree in some genetically gifted supernose like you're some kind of blood hound human hybrid. Panels screen you for a normal consistent sense of smell and then train you on the vocabulary. And there are no degree postings online right now.
So here's how to start as an odor tester. Search sensory panelist and odor tester on websites like Indeed and Zip Recruiter. The big employers are flavor and fragrance houses and food companies.
MMR research, Gadon, Hershey, IFFF, all run panels, and most start part-time around $16 an hour while you train. Then pay climbs as your pallet gets certified. You pass a smell and taste acuity screen at the interview.
And there's no degree required for entry panels. Now on pay, there's a floor and there's a ceiling. And I'm going to be honest, they're far apart.
Glass Door puts sensory panelists around $68,000 a year on average with a typical range of 54 to 88,000. Entry panels start closer to 16 bucks an hour, but Zip Recruiter shows top odor testing specialists getting into six figures. Now, like I said, I know that 95% of people watching this are probably not going to become an odor tester or a sensory specialist.
With that being said, like I said before, I like to include these types of careers just to get the creative juices flowing and let you know that there's a lot of different things you can do out there and they're not all super boring. Some of them are weird or cool. With that being said, let's talk about one that is super boring and also has a massive amount of demand right now, and that is data center HVAC technician, aka the AI booms repairman.
And this is where the list stops being weird and starts being serious money. So, data center HVAC technicians, specifically the liquid cooling side for AI data centers. Every AI model you've ever heard used runs in a building that generates insane amounts of heat.
And if the cooling part fails, billions of dollars of hardware cooks itself. And you might say that's saturated and everyone's going to go in the trades now. Well, then explain this.
According to Randstad, it now takes longer to hire an HVAC pro than a software developer. 56 days versus 54. So, the AI boom is creating a surge in demand for HVAC tech faster than the industry can train them.
Think about it like the gold rush. Everybody's obsessed with people mining the gold, the AI engineers, the model builders, but the person who got rich and stayed rich was the one selling the shovels and keeping the water running. And in the AI Gold Rush, the cooling tech is that person.
And you might think that the pay can't be that great for a repair job. CNBC Make It followed a guy named Robert Cuadra making $80,000 a year repairing air conditioning. And there's countless examples of other people making really good money in HVAC.
And the data centers are paying above market average for HVAC technicians right now. But it would be so hard to break into, right? Well, my brother Zach has been in the trades for almost 30 years.
And now he teaches people how to become an HVAC technician. He's got a whole video breaking down the industrial versus the residential versus the commercial HVAC side. And Zach can make videos like that because he actually lived it.
And hold on to Zach for a second because what he did after getting into the trade is the real story. And I'm going to be coming back to that in about 60 seconds. But here's how to start as a data center HVAC tech.
get into an HVAC program at a community college or a trade school or if you live in certain states, you can actually get hired as an HVAC tech directly from the business as long as they agree to train you properly. Now, this is something you can easily look up on AI whether you live in a state that allows this or not. There's a lot of weird union stuff, so that's just something you have to look up.
Just tell it what area you live in and it'll tell you, but even if you go into an HVAC program at a community college or a trade school, most of those are going to run under a year. Then, get your EPA 608 certification. that is required to handle refrigerants and then chase the liquid cooling and data center specialization because that's where the AI money is pooling right now and then apply directly to data center operators and the mechanical contractors who service them.
Now the hiring gap means that they'll train the right person fast and the pay is real not hype and glass door puts HVAC technicians around $72,000 a year on average with a typical range of about 60 to 88,000 and the data center specialists sit at the top of that. Now remember I told you to hold on to my brother Zach? Well, here's the part that matters.
Zach started talking about how to get into the trades and his experience working in HVAC. And 29 days after uploading his very first video on YouTube, Zach hit $214 in a day, which is crazy because most people take months or even years just to get monetized alone. And he was making a full-time income in less than one month.
And now, a year after posting, he just had a record month of $18,000 plus dollars in a single month. and he did all of it spending less than four hours a week on YouTube teaching the exact trade stuff that we've been talking about just now. And if you want to learn exactly how he did it, we have a free workshop this week where we're going to be going over step by step exactly how it was done.
And we're going to be giving away an AI that's the niche validator that's going to help you pick your niche so that you can do it as well. Click the link in the description in the pin comment below to check that out. All right, guys, quick break.
This video is sponsored by me. I wanted to let you know that I'm going to be doing a live training this week where I'm going to be revealing the YouTube content advantage in 2026. It is a completely free training, no strings attached.
In fact, I'm giving away even more bonuses at the training. Just as an example, I'm going to be giving away my niche validator. And this is going to be available for both Claude as well as Chat GPT, which is a super valuable piece of software where you can finally figure out what the best niche for you is.
So, do not miss out on this training. Uh, make sure you sign up for it down in the description. and the pen comment below because you only get it if you join the training.
So, if you don't join now, you might miss it. But that being said, in the workshop, you'll get to meet me. You'll get to ask me questions directly.
So, I look forward to meeting you. So, click the link in the description, the pen comment below. Make sure you put it on your calendar.
And if for whatever reason you missed out on it, you weren't able to attend. Make sure you still click that link because we might be having workshops in the future as well and you'll be the first to know about it. So, yeah, hope to see you there.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming. All right, next we're going to be talking about the crematory operator. Now, the crematory operator runs the cremation retort.
And I'll let you sit with the fact that this is one of the only jobs where the demand is um permanently guaranteed, right? They say the only two things that are guaranteed in life is death and taxes. But you would assume that you'd need some mortuary science degree for this, but actually you don't.
Glass door has it around $46,000 a year, no degree required, and the certification is a short course, not four years of college. And this one's less of an analogy and more of just math. Every other industry rises and falls with the economy.
People stop buying houses, stop buying cars, stop eating out. This one does not have that problem. And it's not just stable, it's short staffed.
So saving advice lists death care as one of the 10 industries that are desperate for workers because the funeral directors and operators are aging out and there aren't enough replacements. And now sounds like a dead-end job. Pun intended.
Except here's what one person figured out. There's a channel called Lauren the Mortician and she films herself cleaning out the crematory, literally doing the job, and she pulls in an estimated $12,500 a month from filming the exact thing that she was already doing anyway. Start to see the pattern yet?
Well, keep it in the back of your mind. Here's how to start as a crematory operator. Look up the crematory and funeral home openings on Indeed and the cremation association job board.
Yep, that's a thing. Most states require a short crematory operator certification. Again, just check with AI, tell it your location, and it'll tell you whether you need to or not.
But you can knock it out in days, not years. And employers train on the equipment in many cases because they're so desperate for workers. And think about it, there's a ton of demand, and it's a bit of a morbid job, and it's probably also a bit boring.
So, there's not a lot of supply. And that is a huge opportunity for you. And because the industry is aging out, walking in with certification and steady temperament puts you near the front of the line.
Now, on pay, it's roughly $46,000 a year. The median is 38 to56,000. But this is just an entry point into the industry, which is actually an incredibly lucrative industry, and it's an industry there is pretty much always going to be demand, and there's pretty much never going to be that much competition.
All right, next is the virtual patient sitter. So, this is where hospitals pay you to watch at risk patients through a live video feed from a screen and alert the nurses before someone falls out of bed. They're called telesitters or virtual patient sitters.
And one person can watch up to 16 patients at once from a single station. And your gut says hospitals should never hand something this serious over to someone on a screen. But there's a woman named Robin who's been doing exactly that, working as a remote patient monitor, and she puts the whole job on YouTube.
So, think of it like a lifeguard stand, except instead of watching one pool, you're watching 16 of them at the same time on a wall of monitors, and the whistle is a call button straight to the nurse's station. Now, you might say, "Fine, maybe it's real, but there's no way that there are actual openings for this. " Well, there are actually 57 Telesitter jobs listed on glass door right now, and Zip Recruiter has listings running $15 to $43 an hour.
So, yeah, there actually is. Now, here's how to start as a virtual patient sitter. Search telesitter or virtual patient sitter on Indeed and Glass Door.
Most postings are through hospital systems directly. Now, there's typically no medical degree required, and most ask for basic patient care or CNA adjacent experience. and hospitals train you on their specific monitoring software.
Now, by the way, I always get a few comments here and there from people who are like they find some random job posting that actually does require a degree and then they just get really mad and they post a comment about, you know, how I lied to them or whatever. First of all, a lot of the job postings that we saw didn't require a degree. And second of all, even if they say that they require a degree, specifically with this type of career and all the careers we talk about in this video, a lot of the time you can just apply anyways and they're not going to care because again, the laws of supply and demand are in your favor.
And also, a lot of the time, these companies post stuff that are their requirements and really it's just a nice to have. And they're actually so desperate for people that in many cases hospitals will train you on their specific monitoring software. And it's often part-time and remote, which makes it an easy first step into healthcare without the clinical training.
and pay averages around $18. 83 an hour with a typical range of $15 to $22 an hour. And by the way, there are almost like an unlimited amount of these random little medical related careers that you can do.
I could probably just make an entire channel just for these medical careers alone. And a lot of them are pretty easy to get into. They pay really well.
There's almost no competition for them. And medical careers in general are extremely recessionp proof as well. So there's just a lot of upside.
And here's another one. the remote standardized patient. And yes, this is the thing.
Medical schools and other medical related businesses pay you to pretend to be a sick patient on Zoom. So, student doctors can practice diagnosing you. You get a script, symptoms, a backstory, and your job is to perform it convincingly enough that a future doctor learns something real.
No one pays people to fake being sick. Come on. These are official medical school programs.
Lolinda University runs one and telealth training made a chunk of it fully remote. I am given [music] a script and you read over the script and just get familiar with what your symptoms are going to be. So, think of it like being a stunt double except instead of taking a hit for a movie, you're taking a diagnosis for education.
Same performance skills as an actor, completely opposite goal. You're not there to entertain, you're there to help someone learn to save lives. You see, in most professions out there, you're allowed to make mistakes.
Making mistakes is not a big deal because the consequences for making a mistake is not that bad. However, when it comes to many different medical related careers, including medical doctor, if you make a mistake, someone might die. And that's why for careers like that, as well as careers like cyber security, for instance, they hire positions like this so that you can make mistakes in a simulated environment and not make mistakes in the real world.
Now, you might be thinking that you'd need to be a trained actor to pull this off. And backstage's own guide says that schools coach you on the case. and older adults are in high demand because med students need to practice with age realistic patients.
So, if you're on the older side, this could be especially good for you. Now, here's how to start as a standardized patient. Search standardized patient plus your nearest medical school.
Most university health science programs run their own hiring page, but you can also find some good opportunities remotely as well. For instance, Zip Recruiter also lists remote gigs directly. No acting resume required.
They train you on the case script and give feedback rounds. and retirees as well as career changers over 50 are actively recruited for this one. Now, I have to be straight with you on the pay because the headline number is misleading.
Glass door shows an average of $85,000 a year, but that's stacking full-time program coordinators into the average. The actual hourly gig work runs close to $19 to $25 an hour. However, you do have an opportunity to work into that full-time coordinator role and make more money.
Now, one thing I want to say about pretty much all of these careers, we are entering into a new world. This is a world where things are moving so fast that traditional education systems just can't keep up. You know, even with well-known careers, for instance, like digital marketing, colleges are teaching stuff that worked 5 or 10 years ago, but doesn't work today.
And so, there are incredible opportunities out there for people to just start YouTube channels on the careers that they're in and either document what the career is like to attract new people to the career or help people get into the career, help people learn the skills to get into the career, or help people use the different technologies that are necessary to get into the career. And so here's what I actually want you to walk away with. Every single job on this list is desperate for workers.
And that part's real and that part's sourced. So go take one of them if it fits you. But look back at how many of these people didn't just take the job, but they actually started documenting the job on social media as well.
And this is new education. And this is how the new economy works. Even if you're not teaching people how to get into the career on your own, you can easily partner with someone else who is.
So my brother Zach didn't just become an HVAC tech. He filmed himself teaching it and hit $214 in a single day by day 29. So, we literally went from zero to a full-time income in less than a month.
Lauren didn't just clean out crematories. She filmed it and built an extra $12,500 a month. And that's just from AdSense alone.
And that was on top of the job that she already had. So, every single one of these has the exact same thing. The job pays the bills.
Filming the job that you already have is what can really change the number. And that's exactly what I break down in the free live workshop that I mentioned earlier. I'm going to walk you through the same system that Zach used step by step to figure out what his niche is and make money in the first month.
I'm going to tell you exactly how we did it. And it's not just limited to these jobs. In many cases, it might be something that you're passionate about or something that you've done a lot of since you were a kid or an industry that you know a lot about or something that you happen to be really talented at or happen to be really good at just cuz you've done a lot of it.
So again, the link to the live training is in the description in the pin comment below. And not only will I be telling you exactly how to get started, but I'll also be giving away a secret AI that we created that helps you pick your niche or dial in your existing niche that you already have. And I know that 99% of you are just going to consume our free content here on YouTube.
you're going to take the free live training and run with it yourself. And you're never going to end up working with us one-on-one, and that's completely okay. I always want to give way more value than I receive.
But if you're the type of person who wants a handholding experience, you want to work one-on-one with a mentor who's done it for you, and you want to save yourself a massive amount of time and effort, then go ahead and apply to work one-on-one with us by clicking the link in the description in the pen comment below. And I know that only 1% or 0. 1% of you are going to do that.
And that's totally fine as well. But only apply if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube. We only accept about 18% of people who apply and we're not interested in tire kickers.
So, the types of people we typically work with are professionals that are typically on the older side and have a lot of experience in their industry, YouTubers who have a lot of views but they're struggling with monetization, YouTubers who are crushing it but want to crush it even harder, or business owners that want to use YouTube as a way to get more leads and make more sales for their businesses. So, if that sounds like you, again, click that link in the description in the pin comment below. But only do it if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube and working with us.
With that being said, check out this video right here where we talk about exactly how we helped Zach go from 0 to $214 in a single day in less than one month.
