What if we took Renan Santos 'plans for the presidency of Brazil? Is it possible to create a city in Cities: Skylines with his plan? One of the things I noticed most, which is different from my other videos, is that the office tax rates dropped the most, and for commercial residences, as people get more education, the less tax they pay.
So, in a way, I believe this will encourage the population to seek out schools to study and get a reduction in their taxes. Remembering that I am 100%neutral, I am not supporting any candidate, right, left, center, nothing. We are just running a simulation with Renan Santos' plans, which many people asked for in the Lula video.
Is it possible for us to create a successful city? Let's find out in this video. Here we already have the first companies being created from houses, and we have the first buildings ready.
And remembering that I will keep these houses here, which are from the Eastern Europe pack, as they simulate a Brazilian house well because they have a fence, so they will remind us well of Brazilian homes. Meanwhile, our city is growing. Let's see if placing some offices makes it possible for them to develop.
Wonderful. With the low office tax rate. Right at the beginning of the city, it is already possible for us to have them built.
Let's start by placing some basic services like a funeral home . Unfortunately, one of our residents has already died. I'm going to place a small cemetery here in this region to start collecting the bodies.
Our medium-density population has been growing quite a bit. It's good that we are already starting with the first buildings in our city. I'll put the buildings on these smaller streets to create that division where houses and buildings are quite mixed.
Our industries are developing well, many are already ready, and our demand here is quite high. We can zone more blocks here. And to avoid one of the things like selling energy that can bring a lot of profit, I placed this small power plant.
It will produce about 20 MW, and I believe it will be enough for us to develop our city here in Cities: Skylines. Probably one of the offices that will develop the most are these software and media ones. Yeah, the taxes for them here are very low, look.
About 2%for software. So, we will probably have quite a bit of software development in the city. We have quite a lot of demand here, we can zone some more, and we also have plenty of low-density housing to add to our city.
And one of their first plans is basically to clear the debt. Since we started a city and have few people, it's natural that we have some debt. So , we'll continue growing the city here, meeting demands as they come up.
And for now, I won't add basic services like schools, police, or fire stations, because the primary plan is to clear our debt before adding other services as we expand our society. Our low-density demand has been growing quite a bit. I think even though we still have debt, we still have a decent balance.
I think it would be interesting to add a school. We'll place a school here because it encourages the population to study and move up to other classes, which helps lower the taxes they pay. We've placed a small school here, which will be enough to serve our population for now.
If needed, we can add an expansion later on. Taking advantage of the space next to the school, there's room for a small building. We'll zone this building here, and our offices are developing well.
So let's add some high-density offices so they can thrive . The industries here are needing workers, which I think is natural. We have fewer than 1,000 people in the city, and through the average happiness , we can see what people are complaining about or asking for, and we'll try to improve that as we evolve.
People are complaining about traffic. I don't see any points of congestion. Maybe it's the distance for people who are walking to work.
>> It's a good distance there. That's probably what they're complaining about . As soon as we develop the city more, we'll add some bus services and such.
That will be resolved over time. Our medium-density demand is growing quite a bit. It's a good thing I left these smaller blocks to place buildings.
Meanwhile, our city is developing. We already have some high-density offices. Very good.
And we already have some citizens waiting for an ambulance. I think it makes sense for us to add a small hospital. It's normal to start with a negative balance, and although the goal is to eliminate the debt, we also need to serve the population, who are asking for a few things.
We can place a small clinic there, it should be enough to take care of our sick residents. What I'm liking to see is that since taxes are lower as people get more education, our medium density is growing a lot. See, it's asking for more medium density demand, which is causing a lot of buildings to pop up here.
Now, regarding low density, I think unless you set an absurd tax rate , there will always be medium density. We have a lot of people arriving in the city, commuting and working their jobs. from company demand here.
I think it's part of the process for us to add some farms too. I can pull a dirt road over to this side. We have a good fertile area here.
We can set up grain cultivation and also vegetable farming. Food production has a slightly lower rate than the game's standard, so it should develop well. I think it also makes sense for us to add cattle production.
Brazil is one of the biggest cattle suppliers, so it makes perfect sense. And I'm also going to add a fishing facility. We hadn't included this in the last few episodes.
We can also place it here on this map. We have a very fertile fishing area, we can use that to help develop our city. We have our fishing zone here.
Soon the boats will be doing their part. Look at that, cool. Meanwhile, the demand for high density has gone up, and medium as well.
Wow, look at the accident that happened here on this road. Man, let's bring in the police to fix the traffic, and fire services too, otherwise our population might suffer a lot. I added the fire station, now I'll add a police station; I'll put this modern one here.
There, they can help the people here. Look at that, it was an accident between a car and a motorcycle. Another one here too, a very serious accident.
The police should arrive soon along with the firefighters to provide assistance. The police have arrived here. The police cars are already patrolling here.
They must be taking people in to file a report to see what happened. Let's place some high-density buildings. We already have the demand for it.
We can move a bit further to the left for affordable housing buildings and some medium density in this area. I'll opt for these mixed ones because they already have shops on the bottom floors. Yes, they are buildings combined with commerce.
I believe our city is developing well; this is its view from afar. And remember, folks, this is just a simulation. And I'm not choosing any sides.
We're just replicating laws and creating a city here in Cities: Skylines II. Well, one of the proposals was to try to clear our debt with our services. Our negativity went up a bit more, but I believe adding more offices here could make the city sustainable in Cities: Skylines.
We also have more low-density demand, we can add some here as well. Let's see how our school is doing, if people are trying to study . We have 34 students, still quite low, but I think it's within the norm for a city of 16,600 people.
Look how cool that is. I think it looks beautiful with this gradient, low-rise city with some buildings. Oh, our first building with affordable rent is already available here.
The spots are quite full. I believe it makes sense for us to put a parking lot here so people can store their cars too, having a space, a parking lot very close to the buildings they can use. Let's add some terraced housing here.
Look at that, our demand grows rapidly. I'll destroy this one to see if they complete it. Exactly.
This way it stays on each side and no empty space is left. I'm going to place some parks as well. Let's prioritize what we have here in Brazil, which are the soccer field parks.
I can place a soccer field here. I believe there are some places where we also have swimming pools, some clubs where we can add a pool. By adding this service, we start to also attract people for high density .
After all, there's outdoor recreation , which here in the game helps attract high-density residents. And we're going to place some buildings here in front of the soccer field, something that happens in real life, in real life there are many buildings that are near. We end up seeing some reports where people can watch an official game from inside their buildings.
Oh, our terraced row houses are finished. I don't know, but it seems these colorful houses remind me a lot of the houses in , I think Bahia, in the Northeast region, maybe Porto Seguro, I'm not exactly sure, but it's reminding me now seeing these houses. If you are from any of those regions, comment where these houses look like they are from.
I know some regions in Brazil have these very colorful houses, and we can pay a little more attention to industries; even though there's a shortage of employees, we can add more since they're asking for them. And it's good that industries help pay taxes, and with that, we might perhaps start making a profit in our city. Here our fishing area is catching its fish; we already have almost 2 tons in storage.
And one of the things I forgot to add at our power plant is that they are complaining about waste service. We haven't put in any recycling centers or anything. I'm going to extend this road here toward the corner so we can place our landfill service here.
And we'll also put a recycling unit here to simulate some recycling that we have in landfills, but basically we're served primarily by landfills and some places have recycling bins. I think this makes sense here. We can add more buildings here.
We have some demand in this area here. Let's see if anyone is using the parking lots. Look, people are already using the parking lot.
So, I believe where we have a lot of buildings, it makes sense to add parking lots, especially on these streets here, which are narrow streets and people have nowhere to park. And with this building demand, we can add some parking lots here so they can park their cars. We're still seeing negative numbers, probably because I just added the waste services , right?
So we're still having, let's see how our production is doing. We're still producing plenty of grain, okay? The rate is still increasing, but we're still importing a bit because we're still short on livestock.
It's going quite a bit to the industries there, turning into food, and look, even turning into clothes. I don't know exactly what livestock turns into clothes, but if anyone knows, feel free to comment below. I'd like to know.
Look at that, I'm happy to see that in this city the demand for commerce is growing much more, which was one of the difficulties we had in other cities. I'm going to zone some commercial areas here, in this strip, to also supply the industries, right? They need fuel, trucks.
And if I'm not mistaken, here in the signature buildings we even have a gas station, and we'll be placing a large gas station here so the trucks can refuel. Our population is quite happy, but they are complaining about internet service and traffic. Look, we finally started making a profit, so I think it makes sense to make people happier and add internet service.
We can place this telecommunications tower . If I place it right here in the middle of the city, we can reach everyone and have good coverage. One of the points mentioned in the last videos is that we have good internet coverage, maybe one of the best out there.
And that’s something I didn’t know, because in my area, since it was always bad, I thought it was bad everywhere. This street here, I’m going to change it to one-way to see if we can relieve the traffic. And the people who want to turn back can use this road here to make a U-turn.
And our city is developing well. If you like this type of video, take the opportunity to comment on what you think and what I can do better. We will be fixing that for the next videos.
Now, I believe this traffic is quite natural here in Brazil, right? We have a large avenue reaching the neighborhood, and I believe it makes sense here. Our industries are still complaining about a lack of workers.
Let’s see what kind of workers they need. Not many here. Since the industries are also at level one, they need a lot of workers with low education.
So I think it makes sense to zone more low-density housing to attract workers as well. Let’s fill in practically everything here. Here, we’ll add some more row houses.
Let’s see if this way we can meet the labor demand in our city. Now that we’re back in the black, we can start adding more services, such as postal service. We still don’t have one in our city.
I’m going to place a post office right here in the middle. And I saw that some people commented that in some places there are mailboxes near the branches. So, we’re going to put some mailboxes right out front.
A person who just wants to mail a letter can leave it in those mailboxes. Now, unfortunately, those who live further away will have to go to the branch to drop off their letters. We have a very dense office area here, basically made up of software and electronics.
Basically, I’m only finding software here. It’s basically just this structure that’s empty. All the others are already made up of software companies, and some media ones too.
Well, it would certainly be good if software fees were lowered, right? For those of us who work with computers, parts are very expensive. Now that we are having more positivity, which is one of Renan's principles, we can place a slightly larger high school here.
Let's place a very modern high school here that fits a lot of people, look. It fits 1,750 students. I think that will be enough to serve our population.
I took advantage of the fact that we had just started making a profit again to set up our bus service. I placed our garage here, I've already set our routes, and I saw some people commenting that some locations are cheaper and others are more expensive. The one I set last time I lowered the standard a bit, I set it to six; I saw that some people commented it's $ 2, others are more expensive.
I think six will be more in line with what we have on average overall. Who knows, maybe this way we'll be profitable again and can add more services according to the proposals I found here from Renan. Remembering that I'm being neutral, okay, guys?
I'm not supporting anyone. We are just replicating the proposals we found while researching. I placed a school here too, we already have 1,300 students enrolled.
I believe it makes a lot of sense for the population here in Cities: Skylines to study. This way, they level up and pay fewer taxes. Look at the parking lots here near the buildings.
It worked out very well. We have a full parking lot. Look how cool that is.
And it's good for visitors too , right? I think I'll add another building here. Not a building, it's the parking lot that's practically full.
Look, the buildings are already very close to the stadium here. They are practically touching the stadium. Wow, look at that, there's a power outage in some houses here.
It's back. Let's expand our power service here because our plant is overloaded. I can place one more small plant here to handle the demand of our city.
One thing I just remembered that I hadn't thought of is that our power lines don't go underground, they go above ground. I believe I will replicate that here now, take them from our plant to our small substation. Then we can make the connection here with it, and this represents Brazil more, power lines running high up, cutting across the roads, passing way up high.
I think it makes more sense now, like what we have in Brazil. With one more power plant, we started having expenses again. Let's zone some more industries, completing our industrial area here.
Look at that, guys, there's a crime happening here. Even with a police station on the next block, crime here is running wild. Look at that, I think the police already arrested them, see?
They're taking a passenger. Let's follow the police taking this citizen into custody. Look at that, escorted them away.
And now we already have one criminal arrested in the city. I'll take the chance to zone some more medium-density buildings here near the schools. Taking advantage of the high demand, I think another small one fits.
Ah, it just disappeared, but I think a small high-density building could fit, but the demand just vanished . Let's zone more low density here. So, it's been a while since we placed any.
We can be utilizing this here. Our city is already getting pretty full in the areas I initially created, and this gives us a good idea of Renan's proposals applied here in Cities: Skylines, and as we return to profitability, we can add more services . Here, the population's happiness has a lot to do with what we attract to our city, right?
It doesn't necessarily mean that because someone is happy here , they are supporting the candidate. We are remaining neutral here. In this city from the Skylines simulation, people are happy because of these services that are being shown.
Zone some more small buildings here to finish up. And one thing I would like to say is that just because a city worked out here in the simulation, it doesn't necessarily mean it will work in Brazil. There are many other things that happen here in Brazil that we just can't replicate in our city.
It's just a simulation to show how the city behaves with some totally different policies. Placing these boxes, these Dutch ones here, they are tiny, I think it makes sense. We're waiting for the ambulance here.
Let's see how our clinic, our hospital is doing. Well, there is still capacity for 20 people there. I think it's fine.
Just recovered. Look at that, our high school is pretty full. Let's add its expansions here.
Even though we are still in the negative. It's very little , and we have plenty of cash on hand. Our industries here have started needing a lot again.
Let's place them in these areas here. Now they will have space to build for a good while. I've placed quite a lot of area here now.
Look at our European businesses here. These are probably food, lodging, and gas stations; they work really well near industries. Let's see how the industries are doing.
They are making a profit here. This one that produces metal is making a profit. Let's look at some new ones here.
This metal one too. Let's see if we can find a different one. Food and fish are making a profit.
Petrochemicals are making a profit. This one that just finished for metal is also making a profit. Bank balance is low, although it was just built.
Look at that, the vehicle one is making a lot of profit, 30,000 a month, especially with the arrival of electric vehicles; it would be cool if we could have a fleet of electric vehicles here in our city. Actually, I think there are already some electric vehicles, but we can't really tell them apart here. At least it doesn't say if we charge the cars.
It would be cool if it mentioned whether the vehicles were electric or not. Now, these cars parked here on the avenue make no sense. So, we're going to remove these cars, put some grass here, put grass here and take the cars away.
It's actually good for people to have a strip of grass, so they see a bit of nature. Look, our demands are growing absurdly fast. I move around to get a view of the city and when I come back here, we already have all kinds of demand to be met.
Fulfilling a lot of demand here now. Practically filling everywhere we have land to build. One thing I forgot to place is our park maintenance depot.
We need to have a place to perform maintenance on our parks. We are already practically full here, but there is this small space and I can take the opportunity to fill it with offices. There is a high demand for offices and our commerce has started growing again.
I want to place a shopping center. Let's, let's see where we can put a shopping center. I think I'll replace this housing area here, build a small mall.
Well, it's already available here. It's probably waiting for the government bid, the approvals to build our mall. But overall, what do you think of this city built with Renan's proposals?
I think it's developing well. We already have almost 10,000 inhabitants. We are making a bit of a profit.
If we keep building here, we'll have more houses, so more people to pay taxes, and our city should continue increasing its profit. I just wish it had built the shopping center I placed here. Since it didn't build it, let's put in some low-density commercial zones.
One of the things mentioned in the last one is that we could be adding a college, but before we add a college, I'll also need to lay a road for it. While I lay the road here, I want to give a special thanks to our city councilors Jobson, Gabriel, and our newest member on the city council, TV Lucas da mídia. Welcome to the channel.
I hope you're enjoying it. And also to those in the mayor's office who get to watch this video in advance, our friends Eduardo Marek and Virtual Meso. I'll take the opportunity to place a modern college here; it fits perfectly on this street.
And thank you very much to those of you who are subscribed, who leave a like, can hype this video, and are subscribed to the channel. You help this channel a lot to keep growing and bringing more news. Look at that, we're lacking sewage capacity here in our city.
Let's add one more sewage outlet here. The one we placed is already overloaded. One more pipe here and that should be enough.
Look at the amount of people coming to our city. Wow, a gigantic line. It always seems endless.
Look at that. Let's see if we can improve this traffic here. There are many people, let's replace this with larger five-lane roads.
Maybe this intersection here isn't very good either. We are, I'm going to pause the simulation here. We are going to make a correction here.
This road here, we'll build a bridge so it can go over. It comes up to here, this small curve goes here, and we bring it down here, look. And we resume the simulation.
This way, it's one less intersection for people to get stuck at, so it should improve traffic even more. I also want to take the opportunity to add a, with this it should ease the traffic a bit more, it's flowing much better and our city is making a profit here. Let's look at the taxation we're getting in each area .
Basically, most of the taxes being paid are from educated people here in the commercial area, and a lot from housing. In the industries, what is the main source of income? Food.
Look, even with food taxes at 8%, it's one of the most common. Another big one is metal. Metal is really strong.
We don't have oil or ore collection in the city, probably because of the taxes. We are exporting everything from outside, importing, actually. Look at that, machinery with a 4%tax rate is also doing quite well.
And let's look at the offices. Offices are doing well basically because of the banks, they are among those paying the most taxes and helping our city make a profit. Remembering that this is just a simulation, which probably won't represent what would happen if Renan had won.
Like, become our president. Just a simulation. And look at that, another car accident here.
Look, this one even caught fire. Where are the firefighters? Oh, the firefighters are coming over there.
Wow, this accident is pretty serious. The car flipped over and is burning. The firefighter is coming to put out the fire.
And tell me if you liked this city, you can leave it in the comments too. We want to bring more videos like this, such as from other countries, for example, if it were Trump's policies, China's policies, among other countries, so we can bring more variety to the channel. Remembering that we remain neutral.
I thank all of you who watched this video . I'll see you in the next video.
