THE CROW (2024) RECAP

it all begins with a young boy carefully making his way through the mud holding a small bag of water in his hands for his horse suddenly he drops it and runs desperately because some crows have injured his horse this scene intertwines with fragments of his future where pain becomes his constant companion he reflects that when someone you love dies you come to no desolation you know what it feels like to be totally and completely alone you never forget it and you never ever forgive that feeling of emptiness will never leave him and forgiveness will never

find a place in his heart now we meet Shelly who receives a call from her friend Zade sidy Zade reveals that someone has shown a disturbing video to someone else a dark and mysterious video whose details will be revealed later as shelle checks her messages she comes across that enigmatic video starring her her friend Don and Zade in which for the moment only blood curdling screams can be heard the two friends discuss how they might use the video to their advantage as they believe it could be a weapon against someone someone we have yet to

learn about according to Zade this person isn't Invincible however Shelly with unwavering certainty insists that he is they decide that it's time to leave that place Zade offers to pick up shell so they can escape together and also bring their friend Don along but when Zade is about to execute her plan some men appear out of nowhere put her to sleep and take her away desperate shell calls her friend Don to inform him that Zade has sent her the compromising video with the mystery of the video still unresolved shell determined leaves her house intending to

meet Don however her progress is abruptly halted when the police capture her before she can reach her destination meanwhile The Narrative shifts to a boy with an intimidating appearance marked by many tattoos that reveal a troubled past this is Eric the same boy from the beginning who is now in a rehabilitation center trapped in the memories of his tragic past when his little horse died all while his peers bully him it turns out that after that tragic event he became very tough and aggressive which is why he's in therapy now shell is taken to the

same place where Eric is staying later we are introduced to Vincent Rogue a girl approaches him to talk about his talent in music but their conversation is interrupted by his assistant who informs him that they found the girl referring to Zade Vincent goes to see her and tries to reassure her telling her they're looking for her friends especially Shelly and ask for her location however Zade refuses to give him any information in response Vincent ominously tells her that by not cooperating she'll end up in Hell while he won't he approaches her and performs what seems

like a spell possessing her and she dies on the spot the next day shell approaches Eric during breakfast but before she can speak he reminds her of the rule that men and women aren't allowed to interact however since she clearly knows this and doesn't care they continue their conversation just as they start talking more and exchange names the therapy session begins and they are separated though they can't stop looking at each other later sh goes to visit Eric but they are interrupted again because shell has visitors however she mentions that no one knows she's there

so Eric goes to check and returns to tell her that it looks like a lot of lawyers when Shel goes out to see for herself she becomes frightened and says that if they find her they'll kill her so she must flee since Eric has taken a liking to her he helps her escape from the facility and just as she's about to leave he decides to escape with her thus begins their risky mission to flee together once they managed to get out Eric asks who those people were and she replies that they are from her past

life because everyone has a past life life they eventually reach a friend of shelle's house but since he doesn't live there she's allowed to stay there sometimes Shel then tells Eric that he can leave if he wants but he doesn't want to be away from her they've literally fallen in love in less than 3 days they kiss and things even escalate to something more later they shower together and ask each other questions like what did you think of me when you first saw me and what's the worst thing you've ever done after that they go

for some teleporting flower take it dance kiss a little here and there and as nightfalls Shel asks how many people have you really loved he confesses that he's never loved anyone and since she hasn't either she asks him to promise that if loving her is hard he'll try to love her even more the next day zade's body is found in the river putting Vincent in a tight spot his personal assistant Maran informs him and he makes it clear that she must get rid of anything that could implicate him including the video the girls mentioned because

it could be used to blame him meanwhile the newly in- love couple is having the time of their lives enjoying life and swearing eternal love always staying hidden of course later Shel sings while Eric plays the piano and then they switch roles but just as Shel is playing the piano she starts to remember what happened to her and her friend she asks to step outside for a moment and tells Eric that it's been a long time since she played the piano because she used to play so well that her mother would take her to perform

in places that were inappropriate for her age she didn't want to play for those people and saw things she shouldn't have seen things so dark and terrible that she can't even tell him because she's afraid he'd leave her if he knew however Eric reassures her that no matter what happens he will always be with her and if she decides to jump off a bridge they'll jump together it seems that their Love is Real later they go to a party and have so much fun that afterward they get thirsty and wants some water Shel leaves Eric

for a moment to get the water but she runs into her friend Don who tells her that Zade is dead and they're coming for her so she needs to leave the city however Shel can't leave without Eric so she runs to get him out of the party promising to explain everything later as they head back to the place they were staying they are confronted by the same people who came looking for Shelly they are both captured with bags thrown over their heads when it seems like they're about to lose their lives the scene shifts to

what appears to be a limbo where Eric tries to save shell from drowning but he arrives too late and tragically shell dies desperate Eric swims out to save himself but chel is nowhere to be found Eric is lost wandering alone and sorrowful tormented by Voices until a mysterious man approaches him the man tells Eric that a crow carries his soul to the Land of the Dead but sometimes they make mistakes and leave Souls stranded which is why he'll never be free the crow will guide him until he corrects what's wrong Eric thinking it's all a

nightmare refuses to believe the man so the stranger pushes him causing Eric to wake up and return to the land of the living as Eric p and remembers shell he hears a voice it's someone sent by Maran searching for Shell's phone because it contains something very important the man hears Eric and tells him he can come out because he's a police officer when Eric steps out the man claims he thinks Eric has lost his mind and says something terrible must have happened to his girlfriend without further Ado the man tries to shoot Eric but doesn't

kill him instead Eric becomes Immortal he fights the supposed cop and takes him down but at a great cost he's left with severe injuries strangely the wounds start healing on their own remembering that the crow will guide him to correct what's wrong Eric follows the crow on his journey he sees his beloved Shelly diving into the sea without hesitation he follows her once again entering the world of the dead here he encounters the mysterious man again who tells him that Shel has indeed died but her soul was taken by a crow that didn't make a

mistake the man explains that those who killed them made a PCT with the devil to gain eternal life sending innocent souls to Hell Eric Must Destroy them all to recover the lives of the Innocents including his beloved shell fueled by the love for shell and the desire for justice Eric embarks on a mission to set things right knowing that only by confronting the evil that took their lives can he save her soul and find peace Eric now realizing the depth of his mission ask the mysterious man what he truly is since he can heal and

is now Immortal the man explains that because of this Eric must fulfill his mission everything will work out as long as his Love Remains pure if that love endures he cannot die with this newfound knowledge the man revives Eric and Eric goes to his trusted friend the one who gave him all his tattoos and asks him for a weapon armed and determined Eric heads to shelle's mother because he saw her with the people who killed shell he demands to know who they are as he truly loved shell and is ready to take down everyone involed

to get her back however Eric senses something is wrong shelle's mother is acting strangely suspiciously out of nowhere she breaks a glass and starts crying over shell Eric uses this moment to his Advantage slipping into her room and finding a pass from an old job that once belonged to his deceased girlfriend Eric then seeks out the man who was responsible for his death the loyal taxi driver who worked for the bad guys to extract information from him however things spiral out of control and Eric decides to end the driver's life knowing that he himself is

Immortal during this confrontation Eric discovers that Marian had sent numerous messages to the taxi driver instructing him to find Don immediately because they had located him with the exact location of where they'll meet Eric rushes over and engages in a brutal fight with all of them unaware of who Eric really is the villains run him over repeatedly leaving him crawling on the ground like a helpless worm later Vincent visits shelle's mother Sophia to ask her about the man who visited her she tells him that she wants to kill him but not out of anger out

of love Vincent believes that if she kills him she might think she can bring Shel back to life and he mocks her feeling guilty that her daughter died and he wasn't there for her however Vincent tells sopia that Shel preferred it that way Sophia clarifies that what Vincent gave her wasn't a blessing but a curse Vincent reminds her that she should be with Shelly then uses his strange voice technique and the sound of Sophia reuniting with her daughter in the afterlife can be heard afterward Vincent turns his attention back to the girl with the musical

Talent whom we saw earlier he calls Maran and tells her that the boy they ran over has the power to escape death and they need to find him now Vincent is looking for da because he saw Shelly with him on the day of the party Don explains that Marian works for Vincent Rogue and that they used to be invited to his parties but things suddenly took a Sinister turn he describes Vincent's voice as something that can literally get inside you and manipulate you allowing him to do whatever he wants with just his voice Don regrets

ever filming that video knowing now what it led to he explains that he went to see Shel to warn her but she didn't want to leave she didn't want to abandon Eric Don admits that he's known Shelly for a long time but when he saw how she looked at Eric she seemed different happy he's deeply sorry for everything that happened Eric with nothing more to say tells Don that he must do what they couldn't get out of there as Don leaves ER ER remembers that Shel once showed him her secret hiding spot at her friend's

house he heads there and finds her phone with the video on it watching it he finally discovers what really happened Vincent had manipulated Shelly into doing some incredibly dark and disturbing things traumatically reeling from the discovery Eric returns to his trusted tattoo artist to share everything he's uncovered with this newfound understanding of the depth of Vincent's manipulation and the Darkness that enveloped shelle's life Eric's resolve to seek Justice and Redemption grow stronger he knows he must confront Vincent and stop him not just for sh but to prevent anyone else from suffering the same Fate The

Path ahead is fraught with danger but Eric is now more determined than ever to see it through but it doesn't take long before they come for Eric he lets them beat him to protect his only friend but even then they send his friend to the Afterlife with no other choice Eric gives everything he has to take them down however they shoot him about 50 times and this time it seems like he won't be coming back yet he reappears with the same mysterious figure who tells him that he had a chance and wasted it the figure

reminds him that his love needed to remain pure But Eric doubted her and the enemy of Love is doubt now he can't save her the figure tells Eric that he was given the power of a God but he's still just a child shelle's soul is now lost forever in darkness and for Eric eternity will be simple he just needs to breathe and let her go however Eric comes up with an idea to exchange his soul for shellies the figure warns him that she's going to a place beyond his imagination But Eric doesn't care despite being

told that even if he manages to save her he'll never be with her again Eric insists it's his decision they proceed to make a blood paack and the figure tells Eric that with this black blood he will be able to to move between worlds just like them and he must correct what's wrong Eric returns much stronger than before and takes down everyone in his path he gets another tattoo and checks the phone of one of Vincent's workers discovering that they plan to meet at the Opera in 2 hours meanwhile Marian informs Vincent that they' botched

everything and that it seems like Eric has been killed 2 hours pass and Eric arrives at the Opera everyone confronts him but with his Newfound power it's not difficult to defeat them after an arduous and epic battle Eric finally reaches Maran Marian confesses that Vincent is at his Country House Eric ask asks why she did it Maran explains that you never really know what's happening you'll see what they do but you're not part of them and suddenly you are and the only Direction you go is down she also mentions that Eric has the same look

in his eyes as Vincent the look of someone who hates everything inside of them only Vincent hides it better than Eric unable to Bear it any longer Eric sends Marian to meet her fate either with God or the devil and displays her body to the Opera audience he remembers when Shel told him she'd like Lily at her death so he takes one before heading to Vincent's Country House The Address given to him by Marian meanwhile Vincent V is calmly getting dressed and combing his hair fully aware that Eric is coming for him when Eric arrives

he asks Vincent who he really is Vincent responds that he's just an old man Flesh and Blood unlike Eric Vincent tells Eric that he knows he thinks he can bring Shelly back to life but he won't be able to because where she is now there's no way back Vincent's words are laced with a calm certainty as if he's already accepted the outcome he tells Eric that the pursuit of shelle's Resurrection is feudal because the place where her soul now resides is beyond the reach of any power even one as great as Eric's however Eric driven

by a mix of of rage and sorrow refuses to accept this he confronts Vincent demanding answers but Vincent only smirks maintaining that shelle's fate is sealed the tension between them reaches a boiling point as Eric now fully aware of the darkness within Vincent realizes that this confrontation is not just about revenge but about confronting the very essence of evil that Vincent embodies Eric's resolve hardens as he prepares for the final showdown knowing that even if he can't bring Shelly back he must end Vincent's reign of terror to prevent anyone else from suffering the same fate

the confrontation between Eric and Vincent is imminent with the Stakes higher than ever as Eric prepares to face Vincent he knows that this battle will determine the fate of many Souls including his own with the knowledge that he may never see shell again Eric steals himself for The Ultimate Fight ready to sacrifice everything to bring an end to Vincent's dark influence the final battle is about to unfold and the outcome will shape the future of both the living and the dead Vincent with a Sinister calm tells Eric that he regrets Eric saw the video because

it revealed that Shel wasn't who he thought she was but Eric Resolute responds that it was Vincent who corrupted her Vincent however defends himself saying that you can't corrupt what doesn't exist he questions why Shel would want to be with Eric now if she no longer has love in her heart only hate as he says this Vincent stabs something into Eric's heart to prove that he feels Nothing But Eric does feel it sensing an opportunity Vincent uses his manipulative voice to try to steal Eric's power as Eric begins to recall everything it seems like the

power is being drained Away by Vincent but deep within Eric remembers Shell's words if I'm difficult to love love me more with Newfound determination he refuses to be corrupted and fights back regaining control and deciding to end Vincent once and for all Eric drags Vincent back to the place where he made The Pact with the mysterious figure confronting him with the truth that he should be afraid because hella Waits him to make him pay for everything he's done and to return life to the innocent in a final Act of Justice Eric sends Vincent tumbling into

the abyss condemning him to Hell moments later we see Shel rise from the depths of the waters reuniting with Eric she believed everything was just a nightmare but Eric reassures her that everything is okay now and that she will live again however Eric then tells Shel that he won't be able to return with her as there was no other way to save her they both cry as Shel is revived but tragically Eric dies in the process standing by his officer Kronos the same man who helped Eric earlier he tells shelle that Eric fought hard for

her in his final moments Eric says goodbye assuring shelle that his love will live on in everything she does he expresses his certainty that someday their souls will meet again and until then she'll have the memory of their perfect love sometimes he says that's more than enough with those words Eric passes away leaving Shelly with a Bittersweet knowledge that he sacrificed everything for her as she begins her new life she carries his memory with her knowing that his love will guide her in all she does the story closes on the poignant truth that love even

when separated by life and death can transcend time and space and that the memory of that love can be a powerful force that endures
