Hey everyone, welcome back to another video here on the channel. Today we're continuing my coverage of the allne 2026 Hyundai Palisade. This time with a side-by-side trim comparison of the Limited and the Calligraphy.
If you guys have been subscribers, seen some of my other videos here on the channel, and you know, I've done this sideby-side comparison uh in some of the other Hyundai models across the lineup, including the Santa Fe and of course the Ionic 9. in here with the all-new Palisade. I think these will be two very popular trim levels within the lineup just like they were in the last previous generation.
However, more differentiates these two particular vehicles than in that last generation. So, if you're coming from a 2023 through 2025 Palisade, upgrading to this next generation or just curious about it, there is more features and options that are going to be different between these two than there was in that previous generation. So, of course, we're going to run through all that in today's video.
We're going to go through the exact features that are different, go through some of the materials on the inside that are different, the design, aesthetics, all on the exterior, and cover the exact pricing information of these two as well. So, without further ado, let's not waste time take a look at what the 2026 Palad Limited and Calligraphy have to offer side by side here in the exact same creamy white exterior. So before we get too far into this video, I do want to start out with the features and options that are going to differentiate or separate the Limited and calligraphy here for this next generation, as well as how that stacks up to the 2023 through 2025 moldier for both of these two vehicles because the Limited did lose a couple features that it had previously in the previous generation.
So now you have to step all the way up to the calligraphy to get things like rain sense wipers where previously that was found in this vehicle. Then I want to move on to the exact color combination differences and limitations across both these two vehicles because the Limited is not available in every exterior color. Has some differences here on the interior as well.
And then we're going to finally wrap up with the exact pricing difference uh without any additional accessories. So you know exactly how much these two differ in terms of price and again how that stacks up to the previous 2025 models. So, starting out with the exact features uh that you're gaining here in the Limited over the SL Premium.
So, the Limited will have all these features over the next step down in the lineup, which is the SL Premium. You're getting the 20-in alloy wheels, the more premium half mirror daytime running lights, dualpane power sunroof, integrated factoryinstalled trailer hitch, so it's from the factory with the trailer hitch, gloss black lower moldings and bumper trim, genuine leather seating surfaces, third row heated seats, Malays headliner with pillar wrapping, insert film interior trim, third row power folding and sliding seats, Bose 14 speaker premium audio system, 115vt power outlet, and second row acoustic laminated side glass. So, these are all features that the Limited will have over that of the SL Premium.
Now, moving up to the calligraphy, this is going to add a lot of additional equipment more so than that of the previous year. So, you're going to have the exterior calligraphy, unique appearance, body color cladding, uh some more satin chrome on the outside, etc. 21-in alloy wheels, dynamic welcome exterior lighting, highway drive assist 2 with Ford collision avoidance 2 and all the other driver assist features that come with that.
Blind spot collision avoidance assist. Remote smart park assist. Napa interior seating surfaces.
Suede headliner and pillars. Metal paint plus pad print interior trim. Two-tone steering wheel except for the black interior.
Cargo sill plates around the uh whole perimeter of the vehicle. Erggo motion massaging driver seat. front relaxation seats as well as second row power captain chairs with relaxation seats.
Second row wing out headrest, deluxe center console with a splitfold design and UVC sterilization on the inside. Automatic up down for both the first and second row. Uh full display inside rearview mirror, so the digital camera mirror, heads-up display, uh aluminum dorsal scuff plates and rain sense window wipers for of course the windshield.
So all those features are going to be found over that of the Limited on the calligraphy. And you can see there are some big differences between these two. Now how that stacks up from the previous generation again roughly 2023 through 2025.
The features being added to the Limited over 2025. You're getting power folding side mirrors, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Ford attention warning, Hyundai digital key 2. 0 premium which was formerly 2.
0 Touch. So a more advanced digital key functionality which functions more like a regular proximity entry. if you want to use your smartphone, both iOS or Android, and the factoryinstalled trailering hitch.
Now, the features that are being taken away from the Limited versus 2025 or some of those previous model years, rain sense wipers, driver seat leg extension cushion, heads-up display, forward collision avoidance, advanced highway drive assist 2, and supposedly hydrophobic uh side glass or coating on the glass. Not sure that's as much of a big one, but uh you are losing the more advanced driver assist functions as you can see and rain sense wipers and heads-up display. So now you have to go to the calligraphy for 2026 if you want any of those features.
Now in terms of the calligraphy, the features being added here for this next generation over last year, 21in alloy wheels versus former 20. Power folding side mirrors, power second row captain chairs with full power functionality, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Ford attention warning, uh relaxation seats for both the first and second row occupants, third row power sliding seats, so not only folding but power sliding, built-in dash cameras, digital key 2. 0 premium, factoryinstalled trailer hitch, as well as the blind spot collision avoidance assist.
And uh basically nothing is being taken away from the calligraphy. So all these features are basically added on top of what the vehicle had previously and uh that is basically it. If you have any additional questions or comments about that or are confused about anything, feel free to leave a comment down in the comment section and I will do my best to explain that.
Now moving on to the colors and combination differences between the limited and calligraphy for 2026. The Limited is available with a black genuine leather or a gray genuine leather on the inside. Now, the calligraphy is offered with black, gray, navy, and brown nap interior, which I do have a sideby-side comparison video here on the channel already posted.
Make sure you guys check that out if you're curious about what the interior differences looks like. But going back to the limited, it's available in all of the exterior colors except it's not available in robust emerald pearl or earthy brass matte, the matte brown exterior. So, if you want any of those two paint colors, you cannot get that with a limited trim, unfortunately.
But the rest of the lineup is available with both the black and the gray interior uh if you want to choose that. Now, the calligraphy is offered in every single exterior color. However, that is not available with every interior color.
So, if you want a black interior calligraphy, you can choose from any of the exterior paint colors, including the earthy brass matte. If you're looking for the gray navy interior, you cannot get that with the galaxy maroon exterior and you cannot get that with the cast iron brown. So those are the only two colors you can't get on the inside of the calligraphy with the gray navy.
And if you're interested in the brown calligraphy interior, you cannot get that with the eotronic gray pearl, the typhoon silver metallic, the Titan charcoal metallic, and that is it. Those are the three in exterior colors you cannot pair with the brown interior. The rest of them you can get with the brown.
So, interestingly enough, the one thing that I want to focus on is the Galaxy Maroon Pearl, one of the new colors for 2026. You can get it with the gray interior on the Limited, but you cannot get it with the gray and navy two-tone on the calligraphy, which is a little bit of an interesting one. I do have a video of a Galaxy Maroon calligraphy posted here on the channel if you guys want to see what that exterior color looks like.
Now, finally, to wrap up with the exact pricing information uh between these two vehicles and how it stacks up for 2026. So, taking a look at the exact pricing information, a limited uh front-wheel drive is going to start at $50,765 including destination. All-wheel drive is $2,000 and the hybrid powertrain is $2,220.
So, both add basically $4,200 bucks to a Limited if you want a uh Limited all-wheel drive hybrid. Now, the Calligraphy starts at $55,555 for a front-wheel drive V6. Again, add $2,000 for all-wheel drive and 2220 if you want the hybrid powertrain, which will be upcoming here later this year.
And that represents a $670 increase for the Limited and a $3,060 increase for the calligraphy compared to its former V6 powertrain. A much larger increase for the calligraphy than that of the Limited. So basically that is all the information I run through here at the beginning of this video.
Now let's go ahead and take a sideby-side exterior look and see how these two stack up. So once again, both the Palisades in front of me are finished in the creamy white pearl exterior with their respective black leather interiors. You have the standard leather on the Limited, the Napa leather on the calligraphy, which does change some of the door panel materials and some of the trim pieces like I mentioned in the spec guide, which we will showcase here over the next couple minutes.
Now, starting at the front end on both these two, you can see there is going to be unique cosmetic appearance elements uh that you'll find in the grill, the uh lower bumper signature around the exterior perimeter of the vehicle. However, the overall LED lighting package is going to be identical. So you have the LED daytime running lights and turn signals on the outside portion.
The LED projector headlights, both low and high beam. In the middle, there is a running light strip that when the headlights are on or in low light situations, it will illuminate across the grill and connect the two lighting assemblies together. And then down below, you will find the unique fascia elements that I was talking about.
Little bit more gloss black, uh, matte gray trim, and silver accents on the Limited. We're over here on the calligraphy. little bit more body color at the top and then the bright silver trim at the very bottom.
Uh mimicking that of what we saw on the previous generation. So, starting over here on the Limited, you can see it's still a very premium exterior appearance, uh but does share a little bit of the trim from the lower trim levels, as well as add some more gloss black instead of the standard matte black plastic on say the SL Convenience. The grill is going to be more, I guess, uh horizontal in nature, not as much angular elements going on.
We still have the 360 camera as well as the flat stainless steel Hyundai badge. Front rear side parking sensors and the active arrow shutters which are going to be finished in gloss black. No additional designs on that where the calligraphy over here does have some additional designs on the front arrow shutters which I will overlay a small clip of so you can see that again.
All the same parking sensors, more advanced driver assist technology on this particular one. Uh, and then you can see the grill is going to be very slightly different in overall design, but uses a lot of the same materials and the silver trim. Just has a little bit more angular uh, attributes to it with the camera as well as the flat stainless steel Hyundai logo.
Now, coming around to the side profile, starting with the wheel and tire setup, this is going to differentiate the two in terms of not only the uh, wheel design, but also the wheel diameter, which was unlike that the previous generation. So, starting over here with the calligraphy, you're going to find a 21-in alloy wheel with a very similar design of that of the previous generation. Machined and gunmetal gray insert wrapped in a 265 45 21in PLLI Scorpion MS allseason tire.
Now, moving over to the Limited, this is going to remain a 20-in alloy wheel. Again, machined and gunmetal gray finish. A little bit more open spoke design wrapped in a 25550 21in PLLI Scorpion MS AllSeason.
So, these share identical allseason PLI tires. It's just the fact that the calligraphy now is a 21-in alloy wheel, which is up 1 in from that of the previous generation. Now, backing up towards the side profile.
Immediately, you can see some of the big design differences between these two vehicles. Obviously, the calligraphy has more body color. The Limited will add gloss black instead of the standard matte black plastic of the other trims.
But taking a look at the side profile of the Limited, you can see there's going to be a good mix of body color, gloss black, and silver accent trim. Uh specifically when it comes around the wheel and tire arches, the lower door section, and then continues into the rear bumper, which we'll touch on here in a minute. But the mirrors are going to be identical, so power folding, uh dimming, blind spot detection, the door handles are going to be identical, and I think even all the trim at the very top of the vehicle for the silver across the window and then the raised type roof rails.
All of that appears to be pretty much identical. gloss black in the pillar area. Coming over here to the calligraphy, you can see going to be fully body color around the wheel arches.
You have silver trim at the very bottom edge of the doors that wraps into the very bottom of the rear bumper. But again, you still have all the same silver trim around the roof rails, gloss black for the pillars and the doors. So really in terms of that, it's just going to kind of be the body color exterior appearance with some unique silver touches throughout.
Now coming to the back end of the calligraphy. This is where the difference starts to be a little bit greater. With the rear bumper in particular, you have a mostly body color bumper with a little bit of additional design and silver trim at the very bottom that you will not find on the Limited.
So you have these little uh angular elements around the reverse lights, little bit of silver trim at the very top of the bumper where the uh tailgate does open. And then the biggest one is body color around the license plate light to match the color of your vehicle versus the gloss black which we'll see in just a second on the Limited. Up top you have the camera for the digital rear camera mirror.
So that is not a feature found on any other trim. But I also have that all the same LED lighting at the back of the vehicle. Immediately you can see it gets all of its unique elements for the rear bumper which is gloss black silver trim across the middle.
And then you don't get the same angular element and design as that of the calligraphy near the LED reverse lights. Body color here at the very top of the rear bumper where the hatch does open or where the hatch is. Uh and then you have gloss black around the license plate.
The flat stainless steel palisade is going to be identical. And like I said, no camera for that digital rear camera mirror and no dash camera located inside of the glass inside the vehicle where the calligraphy does have that in the rear hatch. So, that's something you won't actually easily spot on the outside, but it does have that functionality where no other trim does, and I'll show you guys that slot in the glove box.
But outside of that, let me know which one you guys prefer down in the comment section below. Now, let's go ahead take a look on the interior. Starting out here with the Limited.
So, starting out on the interior of the Limited. Again, I do have walkound videos here on the channel for both of these two vehicles. So, if you want to see anything a little bit more in-depth, I highly recommend checking those videos out.
But starting out here on the door panel, the design and overall aesthetic is going to be very similar, but the materials across these two are going to be slightly different. So, this is going to be a textured soft touch material versus the Napa, uh, which is just a little bit smoother in design. Again, you have the standard leather trim here for the armrest, ambient LED interior lighting on both vehicles with the power windows, mirrors, power folding, uh, locks, things like that, but only the front two windows, fully automatic up, down, and limited door handle release.
There's the two-position memory driver seat, no massage once again. And then coming to the power driver seat, you do get four-way power lumbar, but no leg extension, no massage, just the usual perforated leather seat. Is again a little bit rougher in texture and design versus the Nappa leather or even the Hex.
And then there is a quick look at the dashboard. So here in the interior of the Palisade Limited, you're going to find a lot of nice premium materials, features, updated technology, very similar and familiar to that of some of their other recently updated products. But in front of the driver, you're going to find dual 12.
3 in screens for the digital cluster and infotainment system. Of course, it does have the blind spot view monitor using the 360 camera system, trip information in the middle, and you can of course configure and scroll between this, including navigation, updated driver assist technologies and things like that. You have the driver assist uh tension sensor right there and a monotone leather wrapped steering wheel that is going to be heated versus the calligraphy.
If you get the other interiors outside, black will be a two-tone steering wheel. So, you have smart cruise control, lane keeping assist, all that on the left side. Here you do have the uh LED lighting, which you can see lit up right there, which does integrate with some of the drive mode selections, and then audio multimedia on the right side.
Colum mounted gear shift with your push button start for the engine uh in the middle. Paddle shifters for the 8-speed automatic, automatic headlights, auto highbeam assist. You do not have rain sense wipers anymore, so just the regular intermittent wipers.
And then to the left of the steering wheel, you can see all those controls right there, including power lift gate, engine stop, start, on, off, tow, hall mode, and electronic parking brake. And across the dashboard, you can see this is all kind of a rougher smooth, excuse me, a rougher soft touch material again, which does change very slightly. No heads-up display, but you do have the 14 speaker audio system.
There you can see the CCNC uh navigation system, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, heated and ventilated first and second row seats in this one. Heated steering wheel. There's the center console with the uh darker smooth wood trim, USBC charging, wireless charging, all that good stuff.
And then the uh regular standard center console, not the split type, which we're going to find in the calligraphy in the middle. Coming up top, this is a limited exclusive thing, which is the Malays headliner and pillars. It is kind of a in between uh softness and plushness between the standard headliner and the sueded accent.
I actually quite like it. You do have the home link uh with auto dimming on the mirror. There's the power sunroof for both the first and second row shades.
And there is the openable sunroof for front seat occupants. So that is basically look here at the front seat of the Limited. Let's go ahead and take a quick look out back before getting over to the calligraphy.
And in the back of the Limited, of course, materials are going to mostly follow through from the front. So here in the door panel you get all the same uh textured soft touch except this is going to be hard touch in the limited where it is going to be soft touch in the calligraphy manual side sun shades. There's the storage in the door itself and then you have the tweeter for the Bose premium audio system.
You do have the seven seat captain chairs. So you have the second row captain chairs with the third row bench. All these manual adjustments on the Limited.
So, not a fully power seat, but you do have a power release and tilt and slide, which will do that by accessing that button, which is a slightly different mechanism versus the fully power bucket bucket seats in the calligraphy. And then out back, you do have the 115 volt 150 watt outlet, additional storage, USBC ports, map pockets on both of the two front seats, and then you have your heated and ventilated seat controls at the very top of the headliner with that third zone automatic climate control, AC vents. There's that power sun shade which is currently closed.
And then coming to the back or the third row of the uh Limited, this is one of the biggest things that you are gaining uh is the power up down seats as well as the power sliding seats. So you can put those up here using the buttons at the front or in the cargo area. You can see it is retracting up as we speak.
But one of my favorite features of the Palisade in general is the power sliding seat. So, you can actually slide the seats forward and backward, which I don't know another midsize 3 SV to offer this. And it has about four to 5 in of travel.
And that is one of the key features that I think you're really gaining with the Limited and the calligraphy over that some of the lower trim levels. Of course, they are going to be heated. Do have USBC charging.
Uh hard touch materials all throughout the cup holders and things like that. But, uh as a whole, I think this is a very nice package and uh still has quite a few features. And coming over here to the calligraphy, you're going to find some much nicer and more premium materials throughout the inside in terms of the leather and some of the other trim accents.
So here on the door panel, entirely soft touch once again for the upper section, but this is going to be a smoother soft touch material with a smoother armrest, ambient LED lighting. All four windows are going to be fully automatic up down. Still have the power folding mirrors.
And then you add the massage for the two-position memory driver seat up top. Now, down below, you're going to add a nice rubberized textured trim, which is like a graphite color, which I've showcased in the interior comparison video. This is not going to be found on the Limited.
And then coming over to the seats, this is really where you gain a lot of features and adjustment. Of course, you have the premium dorsal plate down below. And then you can see all the additional adjustments you get, including the relaxation seat, four-way power lumbar with power bolster adjustment.
And uh just overall, you're going to gain some real adjustment and comfort, including these uh trim pieces. On the back rest, you have calligraphy embossed in the headrest. And coming over to the dashboard, the overall design and feature set is going to be similar again with some added benefits.
So immediately here on the interior of the calligraphy, the one thing that I noticed between these two vehicles is going to be the seat comfort and the seat material used. It just feels like a much more premium, more plush seat. You do have the erggo motion driver seat and all the other adjustments if you choose to use them.
Uh but just sitting down, it just feels like a much more premium experience. Now, you do have the same dual 12. 3 in screens with the uh blind spot view monitor, and I think all the same functions.
You do have the more advanced driver assist, including highway drive assist and Ford collision avoidance assist 2. 0. Evasive steering, things like that are going to be added to this particular vehicle.
And then the steering wheel is going to be a more premium leather wrapped with the two-tone effect if you get the gray navy or the brown interior. All of this in terms of the lights on the steering wheel appear to be pretty much identical. You have the column mounted gear shift.
You do add rain sense wipers on the calligraphy which were formerly on the Limited. And then to the left of the steering wheel, all that appears to be identical as well. You have a little bit of nicer trim in the middle.
And across the dashboard, again, you just have a slightly different material across the dash. wraps into that trim over there in front of the passenger seat. And coming to all the physical buttons and controls, most of these are going to be identical, heated, cooled uh heated steering wheel, this is a slightly smoother, softer material.
And then coming to the center console, you can see this trim design is going to be a little bit different, more straight lines and uh you know, vertical and orientation. Do have the split folding center armrest with a little bit more cushion on top with the UVC sanitation compartment. So you can put items in there and it will sterilize and sanitize them using this button in front of the cup holders.
And then coming up top, you have the sueded headliner, black on the black interior. This feels ultra premium, especially when it contrasts against the silver uh Bose uh trim. Forgot to mention, you have a heads-up display out there.
And coming over to the mirror, you have the full camera mirror if you want to use that with garage home link dash camera technology, which is there's a little button right here, I believe, to save clips if you want to use them. I have a video going over that in a little bit more detail. And then you have the single power sunroof and all the same overhead amenities in the back seat.
So yeah, you can see not too too many differences, but the seats, the materials on the door panels and some of the other more advanced driver assist and dash camera technology is going to be some of the key differences. Now coming to the second row of the calligraphy, specifically on the door panels, you're going to add some more soft touch amenities. So on the door panel, all this is going to be the same as the front seat.
you have the manual side shades, but this entire section on the back rest is going to be that rubberized graphite trim uh that was on the lower section. So, this instead of hard plastic is soft touch. Silver accents for the window and mirror controls.
And then coming to the second row bucket seats only available with captain chairs. You have full power adjustment. So, for uh the relaxation, you have all this one-touch function which will automatically move the seat back.
Uh will recline and do all of that. You can see it goes into more of a zero gravity effect there. So, you got all the silver trim on the back rest portion.
You of course get the wing out headrest to keep your head in place on those longer trips. And then stepping inside, yeah, immediately can tell the seating material and the cushioning is just a little bit more comfortable. And then up top, you have your heated and ventilated seats once again.
So, all that is pretty much going to be identical. Sueded headliner with the second fixed glass roof. And yeah, you guys will have to let me know if this is a deal breaker for you or uh anything like that.
that we also get the power adjustments on the passenger seat to move it forward and back. And then taking a look at the third row, one of the downfalls of the fully power bucket seats is going to be how slow it takes to move and retract forward, which you can see is like a 15-second process in its entirety. But then taking a look at the third row once again, you have all the same power controls to slide the seat forward, fold them down.
Taking a look at the cargo area, just to showcase, uh, both these vehicles are going to be identical in this nature. You do get some nice premium silver trim for the cargo sill and the calligraphies which are not found in any other trim. And then over here on the left side, you can see this is going to be unique to this particular vehicle is going to be the fact you can fold all four seats down automatically with a single touch of a button.
It'll move the second row or the first row passenger seat out of the way. So, it can actually retract and collapse all the seats all at once. So, it is truly a one-touch function.
You don't have to do any additional things. It will handle it entirely on its own. And then you can toggle between the second and third row with this button.
Basically folding them up and down. You can slide the third row and second row back individually and uh all that. So it is really a lot of function here out of this one set of switches.
12volt outlet subwoofer for the audio system on both cars. And then beneath the floor, you do have the same amount of storage including the cargo sun shade, which you can see is actually stored underneath the floor in this particular vehicle. And yeah, with the seats down, you can see just how much space you get.
quite immense and uh just a lot of overall room for a midsize three row SUV, but not quite the largest in the segment uh in terms of overall physical space. But outside of that, I think that is basically going to do it here for this sideby-side comparison. I guess one other thing to point out in the calligraphy is you have more features here on the passenger power seat versus the Limited.
So, you still get the relaxation. You have two-way power lumbar, no bolster adjustment. So, you basically gain the relaxation and the leg rest versus the Limited over there, which just has the regular power seat with two-way power lumbar.
But yeah, I think that is basically going to do it here for this sidebyside comparison video on the allnew 2026 Hyundai Palisade Limited and calligraphy. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video and or found something helpful. If you did, make sure to hit that like button below, subscribe if you haven't already, and keep an eye out and check out additional coverage and content I have already posted and coming, uh, including driving impressions.
I hope to have that filmed here over the next couple days with this allnew next generation. I certainly have my first impressions and opinions, but I kind of wanted to hold out and provide uh the most in-depth thoughts uh on these vehicles rather than rush any sort of content out just to get it out for you guys. Try to keep it as high quality as possible.
If you have any questions or anything, feel free to leave those down in the comment section below. I know this is a more of a longer complex video, uh, but hopefully it did help you out in illustrating and seeing some of the exact differences, especially in the exact same exterior and interior color between these vehicles, uh, here on YouTube. But let me know which one you think is a better value.
Uh, do you think the low $50,000 price point of the Limited or the upper $50,000 price point of the Calligraphy is the way to go? There is about a I think a $5,000 price differential between a Limited and Calligraphy, which is more so than that of the previous generation where it was about $300 to $4,000. So, uh, is that going to be worthwhile to you if you're looking for a premium midsize SUV?
Uh, is all the features of the Calligraphy or would you rather save about $5,000 and stick with the Limited? So, feel free to leave any of that information down in the comment section below. And as always, I appreciate continued support and hope see you guys in the next one.
