who you follow people massively underestimate the importance of who they are following and connected with on Instagram you need to go and unfollow the random accounts who have nothing to do with your Niche and follow a bunch of people in your Niche and create relationships with them when Instagram sees that you are associated with all of these other accounts in your Niche they will start suggesting your account when people follow these creators for example this here on the screen is Devin friend of mine who also creates similar content and because we follow each other talking
the DMS engage with each other's posts and have similar followers when one of his reels go viral and people follow him Instagram will then suggest my account as another page for these people to follow because they see we are similar in what we create with similar followers similar interests Etc this means that when his content goes viral and grows his audience I can piggyback on it and vice versa but my content does well and people follow me his account or chances are get suggested too second it's your name not your username your name now I've
mentioned this a million times on the channel but your name needs to be your Niche if you create comedy videos put stand-up comedy if you create videos about football real football letters not American football then put football highlight Clips you get the point if you look at my page I have content marketing because that is what my profile is all about this way when people are looking for Content like yours your account has the ability to show up so someone wants to learn content marketing and they search it on Instagram my account shows up as

see how we can help you the third SEO strategy is your bio you want to Stack it with keywords you can see on my account I have grow faster monetize on social and followers in my bio all of which help improve my SEO I could do a slightly bitter job by niching it down to Instagram growth and monetize your Instagram however I'm trying to go slightly more broad with my content nowadays and touch on content Marketing in general so you'll see that reflected in my bio but if you're really Niche for specific keywords that you
want to rank for then you can grow faster because again similar to your name when people are searching these things your account will show up and your content will show up now that Instagram search is beyond just searching for accounts people are searching for content and so if you stack those keywords in your bio it's also in your name and it's also in your captions which we'll touch on soon then it improves your ability to rank on Instagram and gain followers from people searching for Content just like yours leading on from that point the fourth
one is going to be your captions now similar to your bio you want to hit as many keywords as possible in your captions this doesn't mean you have to write sentences that don't make sense for the sake of hitting certain keywords but try and find ways to explain your content well in the caption especially if it is an image piece of content you want to write what it is about in your captions in this way when Instagram I'm scanned through your captions to see what the content is about you can rank well you see in
the past Instagram only looked at hashtags you post in the caption however now they are not only looking at hashtags but also the words you use themselves to the point where hashtags aren't as relevant you can simply just have the words in your captions and people will find your content through SEO now you still would use hashtags because then if people are specifically following a hashtag or looking at a hashtag or click on a hashtag from someone else's post your content has a chance to be recommended but when it comes to SEO the words in
your caption are equally as important just make sure you put those into your content and you explain it this is why you want to avoid just having a couple of words in your caption and you actually want to give a couple sentences of context so you can get those keywords in there and have your content recommended and in the fifth and final SEO tip is going to be your recommendation categories and this is less well known than the previous four however there is now a new feature on Instagram which allows you to toggle on or
off who your content is shown to all you have to do is go into your settings click on privacy and then interest topics and then Instagram will show you which categories they are recommending your content to if any of these topics are outside of the niche that you want to be reaching simply toggle them off and you'll be able to fix it to add topics to this list when you go to post you can start selecting relevant topics to your content and over time Instagram will start recommending your content in general to these accounts regardless
