Most of our sins are not sins of ignorance. They are willful sins. They are the result of our refusal to make a concentrated effort to say no by the grace of God.
And so my question for us, my brothers and sisters, if the law is in the heart, notice I say if the law in the Bible is not the law in the heart, they're the same thing. But we must not assume because we have a Bible, God's law is in the heart. Mm- The law of God is placed in the heart by invitation, by request.
Lord, write your law on my heart. The law of life, the law of righteousness, the law which represents the standard in the life to come. It represented the standard before Adam sinned.
It represented the standard before Adam was made. It represented the standard before Lucifer fell. That standard has remained unchanged for however long.
We have no idea. Up to this very day, it represents the same standard. And God alone can write it in the heart by invitation.
and he writes it right where the carnal nature has its writing. The moment sin rears its head, it finds itself in the spotlight of God's law, exposing it for the cockroach that it is. And then we have to say, "Yes, I'm convicted.
" But sometimes, despite the the light, the law flashes exposing and identifying sin, we still go right ahead. My brothers and sisters, God has arranged for his people to know right and wrong. And the arrangement is impeccable.
No one could have devised a better system than to put his law, which is an identifier, an exposer of sin, right next to the origin of sin.
