let's be honest we've all experienced that moment of regret after purchasing a game and realizing it doesn't live up to our expectations I've certainly been let down by a few titles that initially seemed exciting to save you from that disappointment I've put together a list of games that have truly impressed me and left me satisfied with my purchase so without further delay let's dive in Ghost of tsushima is easily one of the best action adventure video games that I've played in recent times and now that it's finally released on PC 2 more people can enjoy
it than ever before if you have the chance to play it on a beast PC with maximum settings and in stunning 4K resolution prepare to be blown away the visual experience is nothing short of breathtaking this game features gorgeous graphics with an amazing attention to detail it takes place in the days of the Samurai in Japan and it beautifully recreates what the country looked like at the time whether it's the houses the Wilderness the armors or even the animals everything is filled with life and feels incredibly immersive no part of the game's map feels unnecessary
since you'll find side quests and random activities to do the story of the game is amazing and it does such a great job of capturing the era that it represents that the developers received a formal thanks from Japan for the accuracy I had no idea that the Mongols had once invaded Japan the story intrigued me so much that I had to pause the game to watch YouTube history videos about it the gameplay has a lot of variety as there are different different fighting styles to use and many enemy types which includes exciting boss fights and
you can choose to play stealthily or otherwise so your approach is up to you the only warning that I can give you is that if you've played a bunch of recent Assassin's Creed games you might be burnt out on this kind of game design however I personally find ghost far more Superior to what has become of the AC franchise as of late and gave us an authentic Japanese experience before Ubisoft could Elden ring is from software's latest entry in the souls franchise and it's nothing short of a masterpiece the game has a very immersive open
world that is filled with unique locations endless enemy variety intense boss fights tons of Loot and different kinds of weapons that lead to entirely separate play styles on top of that you can choose from different races in stats 2 which further change how your experience will be what sets Elden ring apart from the other games in the series is that it's more accessible than its predecessors that's not to say it's an easy game but its design is slightly less punishing since it's more polished and a bit less janky than what we're used to in the
genre last but not least the game has an incredibly detailed story that you can uncover by communicating with NPCs and reading lore about the world that you're in you can pursue various quest lines with your choices impacting the story in different ways leading to multiple possible endings with the expansion shadow of the earth tree just around the corner it's a great time to jump into the [Music] game hads 2 was one of the most anticipated sequels of this generation especially for fans of the roguelike action RPG genre like the first game it's a Dungeon Crawler
that rewards trial and error as each time you finish a run you're able to keep permanent upgrades to your character which make the next run even better the game is currently in Early Access but you shouldn't be turned off by that the only reason it's in Early Access is because the developers want to take user data to improve the game in terms of its gameplay mechanics balancing and story it's a complete game from start to finish and it'll get better after months of future content updates so you'll get more than your money's worth if you
get it right now fortunately if you haven't played the first game you can still jump into this as the story features a new playable character the game play is upgraded in many ways while retaining the core of what made the first game so much fun so there's plenty to love here for both newcomers and old fans alike I shall return forgive me sir with mainstream gaming steering away from the puzzle genre indie games have been a beacon of light for those who still like playing such games ugly is a phenomenal puzzle platformer game that features
a unique gameplay mechanic centered around the concept of mirror images the puzzles of the game are very creative and require the player to create a mirror clone of themselves to do things that they normally cannot the puzzles in the game truly require you to use your brain and you'll often find yourself thinking hard on what to do next so despite being a somewhat short game it can end up being longer based on how quickly you're able to figure things out The Narrative of the game feels melancholic but it's not in your face about it you
slowly uncover the mystery behind the game's world as you play and it feels like a beautifully written tale when you have the full picture I highly recommend the one to anyone who likes puzzle [Music] games Allan Wake 2 is hands down one of the best survival horror games ever made the first Allen weight game was pretty good too but it was nothing out of this world when it came to its gameplay and Graphics even for its time however Allan Wake 2 shows you that remedy has become a master of its craft as this game takes
everything up a notch the graphics appear photorealistic which makes the horror aspects of it feel even more immersive the gameplay is less focused on the action and makes exploration a bigger aspect this time around which is a step in the right direction and the story is outright mindblowing as this new chapter in Allen's life is even more torturous for him than what he went through before we also discover the stories of this game and controller connected in a distant but relevant way while playing the entire franchise is of course the best way to go about
it you can play Allen wake 2 as a standalone experience too as it's self-explanatory for newcomers if you like great stories and video games as much as I do you'll have a great time with this one Star Wars Jedi Survivor is one of the most entertaining action games that I've played thanks to its fun combat whether you're fighting regular enemies or boss fights swinging lightsabers just never gets old and the story is pretty fun to follow too especially if you played the first game in the series as well Cal is a likable character and you
can feel invested in his story even if you don't normally like Star Wars the graphics and World design of the game is pretty good too so it's essentially a complete package the PC Port however leaves much to be desired so keep that in mind if that's your platform of choice last one H with Final Fantasy 7 rebirth taking over the spotlight for this generation of Square Enix games final fantas fantasy 16 unfortunately got overshadowed despite being a solid action RPG the game features really fun combat that has been designed by one of the people behind
Devil May cry's development team granted it's not as great as dmc's combat but it's still the best non- turn-based swords play that you will find in a Final Fantasy game the story is surprisingly mature and the game features many elements that would be unsuitable for children and while the characters appear somewhat edgy at first you grow to like them after after learning more about their past and spending more time with them the graphics of the game complement its set pieces too as some of the boss fights feel out of this world in their presentation it's
a very interesting game to play and I love that each generation of Final Fantasy always has something different to offer the PS5 exclusivity undoubtedly hurt the game sales as well so the fact that it's coming to PC soon makes me hopeful for its future for those who like beat him but don't necessarily wish to play retro themed 2D games cfu is a great game to play it features a unique mechanic in which every time you die you age a couple of years and if you die as an old man you have to start your adventure
all over again however if you keep upgrading certain skills on different runs it ends up unlocking them for good on your subsequent playthroughs which gives the game a bit of a roguelike touch the story of the game isn't that deep but its Simplicity is part of the appeal as it feels like playing through a classic Revenge Story the combat of the game is incredibly fun to play and your muscle memory will become your greatest Ally as you counter attack and kill your way through dozens of enemies and intense boss fights with the beat them up
genre being a bit of a niche these days this game remains just as relevant today as it was on its release day did you forget how to fight Disco elisium is one of the greatest RPG games that I've ever played it takes you into the shoes of a police officer and features very little combat as bullets and opportunities to use them are limited instead you spend your in-game days exploring investigating and interacting with the gamees world and its NPCs the game is very customizable in terms of how the player chooses to approach everything since there
are 24 different skills that represent separate aspects of the main character and what you prioritize ends up becoming his personality the game has many choices that you can make which changes many things throughout your journey and gives you different endings too even though a lack of action might turn some people off from the game it does not feel slow at any point as you're always up to something there's never a dull moment but be prepared to read a lot of text fortunately it's very well written this game is cheap and available on every modern-day platform
from PS5 and Nintendo switch to a toaster so you have no excuse to skip it if there ever was such a thing as an ugly kid then this is it he's almost Exquisite in his ugliness like a grim home World 3 is a real time strategy video game and it was one of the most anticipated games in the genre the campaign mode of the game is very expansive as there are many different ways to play the game and enjoy its detailed structure flying your ships through the vastness of space is an experience that not too
many games offer and it certainly never gets old home World 3 manages to deliver very entertaining combat which requires a lot of strategy and when your plan finally comes together it's glorious to watch although the game is primarily centered around single player gameplay it does feature Online PVP and Co-op 2 for those who want to play with other people one thing to note is that fans of the original games did not like home World 3 very much so if you're one of them then you might want to steer away from home World 3 as well
but if you're a newcomer who wants to play a modern game in the genre and does not expect this to be entirely true to its franchise Roots then this will be something that you will thoroughly enjoy that's it for my list of the 10 games that you won't regret buying not only are all of these great games but there is a lot of variety in how they play and their genres too so there is something here for everyone no matter what your tastes are I hope you've already found what game you wish to play next
in this video and if you're looking for more make sure to check out some of my other recommendations too on the channel as always thank you for watching and I hope to see see you next time
